Different people may have different expectations and different experiences. I needed to prepare a house for tenants and needed an excellent deep cleaning job done. What I received was a big disappointment. I'm sorry things turned out this way and that I can't write a five star review. Here's my experience: I met with several different cleaners and showed them the property while discussing my needs. All assured me that that I'd be satisfied. I chose Liliya's because of the prompt responses, generally good communication, and the Yelp satisfaction guarantee. I specifically chose Liliya's "deep cleaning" option because I didn't want anything that needed to be cleaned to be left dirty for tenants - at the price the house rents for tenants expect it to be fully cleaned (if it's not, then it reflects very poorly on me). The quoted price was not the lowest I'd received - it was mid-range. I'd initially scheduled a cleaning date a week away, but within 24 hours some of my circumstances changed and I asked if anything was available sooner. Liliya accommodated me and offered a cleaning in two days, which I appreciated. The night before the scheduled cleaning Liliya contacted me and told me that her crew would start at 7am (earlier than ideal for me, but I accepted, happy that they were able to work me into their schedule sooner). The day of the cleaning didn't start well - at 6am I received a text message from Liliya that there was a staff problem and I needed to be rescheduled for an afternoon slot, no time specifics given. Okay, I rescheduled some of my plans for the day. Then I received multiple messages (while I was unavailable) between 8:25am and 9:15am telling me that the crew would be there at 9:30am. Okay, I re-rescheduled some of the day's plans. The cleaning crew were two friendly senior citizens (maybe a married couple?) who didn't speak English (and I don't speak Russian), so discussing cleaning specifics with them wasn't possible. When they finished and I did a quick check (just glancing around - not inspecting), they knew that I had reservations about the job they'd done. They must have communicate with Liliya, because she called me a few minutes later, already aware that I wasn't satisfied. Liliya offered to have them do more work (which I accepted), but needed me to tell her specifics so that she could tell her crew specifics. I hadn't done an inspection and wasn't prepared to provide an exhaustive list of unsatisfactory areas, so I mentioned only a couple of items. Her crew came back immediately (within ten minutes of having left) and worked a bit more and then left. I entered the house repeatedly over the next few days, and each time I found more to be disappointed by, including the areas that the crew returned to address. I became frustrated enough that I contacted Liliya about the poor cleaning job and requested a refund. She denied a refund, but offered that if I provided a list of what I wanted cleaned she would have a crew come and clean those areas. Although I didn't want to do a full inspection of the house to find everything they were supposed to have cleaned (but didn't), and although I didn't have high hopes (they didn't get it right the first time, and they came back but didn't get it right the second time, and now we're scheduling a third visit - to correct what wasn't done correctly the first and second time) I did accept her offer. When Liliya had requested a list, I had specified the ceiling fan (still dirty after final visit), kitchen cabinet toe-kick (still dirty after final visit), and various other things to be cleaned and dusted. I wasn't present for the visit, but when I checked later only two of the items on the list appeared to have been addressed. If I hired a professional gardener to water my plants in the hot and dry summer, and they put a drop of water on my plants, they could claim to have watered my plants. But is that really sufficient water for the plants? Is that satisfactory job? I expect a professional cleaner to do a good and thorough job cleaning, the first time, without supervision, and without my needing to inspect *everything* that they were supposed to clean, and then provide them with a list of *everything* that they missed and need to come back and make another attempt on (and still not do a good job). I'm trying to work through the process of the Yelp guarantee, but now I don't have confidence that the Yelp satisfaction guarantee is worth anything. We'll see (I've never used it before). I was looking for a cleaning company to help with regular cleaning and some extras, like laundry. I reached out to Liliya who was recommended by another cleaning company. She said she had someone in my area who could come clean the house and that part of their Covid protocol included wearing masks. The girl arrived and seemed very sweet. However, when I checked in with her, she wasn't wearing a mask and was on her phone. I asked if she had cleaned the downstairs because it didn't look like anything was done. She said she had. It seemed that she had cleaned my shower glass, but nothing else. The only evidence that she had been in there were the shoe prints in the shower. The floors still had dirt on them, the counters weren't cleaned and as mentioned before, the bathroom was still dirty. I mentioned to her that this wasn't working out (due to the aforementioned reasons), and that we had two options: That she leave and we call it a day or we give it a try. She was very sweet and i could tell she wanted to do a good job. She said she wanted to make it right and would redo the downstairs cleaning. However, it become evident that she didn't know how to clean. She vacuumed the same space for several minutes and was very slow, though not thorough. When she did go back, much was still left unclean. My nightstand that is supposed to be cleaned with a damp cloth was cleaned with some product and paper towel as is now damaged with white stuff all over it. I was hesitant to leave a review because the girl was trying, but my issue is with the company owner, not the girl. It's clear that this person was not vetted since it would have been very easy to tell that she didn't know how to clean. The company charges $50 an hour for this. For that price, I expect someone who knows how to clean. I was willing to pay that much for someone good since I understand that house cleaning is hard work. However, this wasn't worth anything and instead, I lost money and wasted my entire day. Also, I never received any communication from the owner checking in on how it went. It seems like there's a huge lack of oversight. Really bummed that I wasted my entire day and money on this. Hopefully someone else can learn from this review. At this point, I don't want any correspondence with the owner. I've wasted enough time and have accepted this as a loss. read more

With a new baby and working from home, we needed flexibility on the schedule and also to work with a slightly larger team so that our house could be cleaned in less time.
