What a cute little farm! It was my first time in Harrisburg and we came on one of those weird sunny…read morebut sporadic rainy days to go apple picking. You head to the main area to pick up the buckets and get a parking paper and they give you directions to drive to the trees. When you get there, just park on the side of the road and start picking! Theres tons of different apple varieties! Once you're finished, you take your pickings back to the main area for weight and payment.

And being only a 15-20 minute drive out of Eugene, a great way to spend a few hours with friends & family. We spent about 2 hours picking low-hanging cherries (really no need to climb ladders since fruit was so abundant) and got about 10 lbs for $30. The cherries were so fresh, sweet & juicy.......this from "sampling a few" which is also part of the fun of u-pick........that and pit-spittin' contests! The orchard is a laid back place with plenty of other varieties of fruit to pick and/or sample. Or simply just to purchase pre-picked. Different fruits have different "peak" seasons for harvesting so do some research and then go and enjoy nature's bounty.

It's Dari-Mart, so it's typically overpriced convenience items. Usually there's nothing exciting…read moreabout that kind of store, especially in a small town. This store seems to have expanded recently and now have veggies and fresh fruits. Which is good. I didn't check the prices to compare to anywhere else, I just noticed them there. The employees are nice. The older ones know the regulars, the newer ones are more formal and stiff. But I've never had a real complaint about anyone in there. The store seems cleaner than most, and that's nice. I always appreciate a clean store. Will I return? Yes. It's not my favorite store to go, but in a small, and I mean small town, it's there for convenience. So if I need something while I'm making dinner and forgot, it's just down the hill from me. It's kind of a staple in the town. I've been going here for 12 years now.

What a fabulous find ! Spotted their sign from the road and drove into their driveway. Once inside…read morethe building, my eyes immediately went to the luscious baskets of freshly picked strawberries. Their fragrance was overwhelming and I had to have a 3 pack then and there. Passed the tase test with flying colors! Also noticed the freshest basil I have ever seen at a farm stand. And now, I can say, it was more than amazing in our tomato sauce. Wonder how they kept it so fresh? The farm also sells honey, organic popsicles, dried blue and assortment veggies. June brings blueberries picking time. Imagine, organic berries that you can pick. I'd do it in a heartbeat if we were in the area. This is a must see if you enjoy tasteful organic produce.

This is a really neat organic farm on the way to the Cougar Hot Springs…read more My friend was planning to take me blueberry picking here after our dip in the hot springs, but alas... blueberry picking season was over! Fortunately, the nice lady manning the shop said we were still welcome to try the shriveled up berries and look around the farm. My friend and I really enjoyed seeing all the fruit trees, strawberries, rainbow chard (beautiful!), etc. The little shop with fresh farm fares was nice as well. They sell local honey and blueberry popsicles (they were $2 and so-so... I would pass on them if I were torn about whether to try them or not). In any case, the folks here are really nice. They offered my friend and me a slice of watermelon the farmers had been trying; I was warned that it was the tail end of watermelon season so they wouldn't be that great, but it was good enough. Also, apparently, the head farmer is only 26 and from Chicago. So random!
