Theres tons of different apple varieties! Once you're finished, you take your pickings back to the main area for weight and payment.

The cherries were so fresh, sweet & juicy.......this from "sampling a few" which is also part of the fun of u-pick........that and pit-spittin' contests! The orchard is a laid back place with plenty of other varieties of fruit to pick and/or sample. Or simply just to purchase pre-picked. Different fruits have different "peak" seasons for harvesting so do some research and then go and enjoy nature's bounty.

At $5.00 a pound, this was unacceptable. After a week I called to tell them the peaches were not ripening and I wanted to bring them back and get my money back. I told them when I was coming, but when I got there, they said the owner wasn't available. I had to come another day and they were hostile and told me there is nothing wrong with their peaches. I will not buy my produce at this farm market again. I will drive the extra distance to Detering's in Harrisburg where they grow their own peaches and also have U-pick. They are delicious and they know the varieties of their produce which Peoria market does not. all they could tell me is that were "yellow" or white!

The employees are nice. The older ones know the regulars, the newer ones are more formal and stiff. But I've never had a real complaint about anyone in there. The store seems cleaner than most, and that's nice. I always appreciate a clean store. Will I return? Yes. It's not my favorite store to go, but in a small, and I mean small town, it's there for convenience. So if I need something while I'm making dinner and forgot, it's just down the hill from me. It's kind of a staple in the town. I've been going here for 12 years now.

Wonder how they kept it so fresh? The farm also sells honey, organic popsicles, dried blue and assortment veggies. June brings blueberries picking time. Imagine, organic berries that you can pick. This is a really neat organic farm on the way to the Cougar Hot Springs…read more My friend was planning to take me blueberry picking here after our dip in the hot springs, but alas... blueberry picking season was over! Fortunately, the nice lady manning the shop said we were still welcome to try the shriveled up berries and look around the farm. My friend and I really enjoyed seeing all the fruit trees, strawberries, rainbow chard (beautiful!), etc. The little shop with fresh farm fares was nice as well. They sell local honey and blueberry popsicles (they were $2 and so-so... I would pass on them if I were torn about whether to try them or not). In any case, the folks here are really nice. They offered my friend and me a slice of watermelon the farmers had been trying; I was warned that it was the tail end of watermelon season so they wouldn't be that great, but it was good enough. Also, apparently, the head farmer is only 26 and from Chicago. So random!

My son loved the whole place, they employ lively folks, the atmosphere is friendly and productive and fast paced and I FINALLY have a patch I'll go every year for pumpkins and fun. Let's be perfectly honest, there aren't a lot of pumpkin patches near this area that are this much fun. Their hay ride is fast and wild and you get to chuck pumpkins at things! Their pumpkin train is also fast and fun and has cushioned seats! There are goats to love, face painting, a hay maze, the classic corn maze and the pumpkin slingshots are hard to walk away from. The produce is high quality and well priced. The haunted experience was extensive, it goes around the whole farm so it's like doing multiple haunted houses. The actors were awesome. They take into consideration the best way to have fun and there is obvious love in this endeavor. Right under I5, the space is utilized to it's last inch and conveniently located. Go early, stay late, we can't wait to see what else they do through the year. Thanks for the fun!
