I've been coming to this place for well over a decade & it still continues to impress me. The menu has changed over the years but the quality has not. The menu has a diverse variety of options from soups, salads, paninis, & wraps, many of which have a unique twist & are delicious. The ambiance is simple & quaint. It can get busy & crowded during lunch with not a large amount of seating. The service is always fast & efficient & ingredients are always fresh. I loved the original aesthetic; earthy, warm, cozy, bustling, rustic, eclectic, quaint, artisanal! Now it's sadly really generic, sterile, uncomfortable, impersonal, and uninviting. It feels like someone special passed away. New owners?! To boot, the image in the photo was $24 - it tastes good, but not $24 good. Tasted good. Really good lunch spot in the heart of Doylestown with a diverse menu of wraps, sandwiches, salads and some nice desserts. I ordered the Captain Caveman (the menu follows a Hanna Barbara cartoon theme). It's a chunky tuna salad with cranberries and walnuts on a spinach wrap, Bigger than I expected, not only was it good it was very filling. The space is cozy, so seating is a bit limited. Also, if you're in a rush, call your order in ahead of time. Like every other place in the summer of 2021 they are short staffed. You should expect to wait about 10-20 minutes between placing your order and eating if they are busy. read more

So happy to see Lilly's finally got a makeover inside!! Prior to this the tables were so impractical for eating and it was dull and uninviting to eat inside, but not anymore! Plenty of seating with actual tables you can eat and enjoy the view of doylestown. The food stays awesome, never had any complaints there, huge servings, fresh food, great meal anytime. I will say... they need another option for ice since I don't think a cooler with a shared ice scoop is the answer but we'll let it slide - 5 stars for Lilly's! This was the only good thing about serving jury duty. Fast and delicious!! I got a wrap and now only want to eat mayo if it is cran-mayo. Yum! The paninis were massive and someone next to me was raving about their quiche. It's a cute little place with a couple tables, high tops, couches and has a lounge type feel. Music was on point too. Pink Floyd, Tori Amos, Stevie Nicks, Billy Joel... It's a little pricey for a lunch but after sitting in a jury room all morning only to go back - it's important to spoil yourself somehow. read more

The perfect place for lunch if you are in Doylestown, especially if you are looking for a healthy option! All of their salads, sandwiches, and wraps are fresh and delicious. I have been multiple times and I never leave unsatisfied. Do NOT leave here without one of their baked goods. Specifically the cheesecake brownies or peanut butter chocolate cookies. Also the menu items are all named after cartoon characters - so cute! They expanded and have a restaurant on the back of it with a brewing company. I'm a fat guy - I know when things taste good. So you can take it to the BANK when I say their Greek salad is goddamn fantastic. Worth the price, and absofreakinlutely worth the $7 upcharge for adding grilled chicken. Its two meals. Two fat guy meals (which are pretty big portions). "Oh but I don't like stuffed grape leaves!" Well you're wrong first of all. And second, the stuffed grape leaves in Lilly's greek salad are just... sploosh. Plus the staff are delightful. Lilly is a maven of the restaurant biz, and this is her first place (to my knowledge) before she went and branched out to Tex-Mex, Southern BBQ and more formal (see Cafe America, Smokin Lil's, and Lilly's on the Canal). The sandwiches are inventive and their names are all Singer/Songwriter inspired. The soups and salads are solid, and always a nice option to add on to your meal. There is always a nice specials board- with a daily sandwich, panini, salad, and "spa plate." One downside to this eat-in sandwich shop is that it is so popular that it does take awhile to have lunch there. Even if I call in an order I often have to wait for my order to come up. Lastly, on Fridays and Saturdays Lily's becomes a quaint BYOB with more substantial plates. read more

Wandered in after court one morning, needing coffee and something, having skipped breakfast to get out the door early. Lily's was sitting there, cute windows suggesting something different inside. Wooden floors, large chalk board menus, dessert displayed right where they can do the most damage to good intentions. And, bagels that looked more like they were from a ring toss game with sesame seeds and onion flakes. Had to have it! Fresh, chewy and flavorful. Good coffee. Yes, and lemon bars that squeeze the salivaries into submission with a crunchy smooth sweet tartness. Oh, yum. I eat here a few days a week. This is the lunch staple for so many who work in D'town. For a couple more bucks than other salad/sandwich shops, you are getting wonderfully fresh ingredients combined in classic and creative ways. The bread they use is excellent, and the deli case is full of seasonal delicious salads and veggies. The menu can be a little overwhelming because it is so vast, but the sandwiches and salads stay the same, and there are about 8 or 9 daily specials. I love the allman brothers sandwich, and the tuna on the bon jovi is high quality but the sandwich is difficult to navigate. Gazpacho is a winner. The monstrous cookies at the counter will feed you for three days, but at $3 it better. Free ice cold water and delicious iced tea. Heads up: the wait can be long (20 minutes at lunch), so call ahead if you want to save some time. Smokin' Lil's is not bad, and Cafe America is just as yummy and fresh. Great, little cafe in doylestown. This place has a great small, hometown feel to it. The meals are not your run of the mill sandwiches and entrees. You can tell they take pride in coming up with creative alternatives. I recommend the Tweety Bird. Egg salad with Salmon. Never thought of the combination before, but it was amazing! The only warning I can give, is that this location advertises a breakfast. Their breakfast menu leaves a little to be desired. Their breakfast menu is essentially a few different types of quiches. You wont be able to order your standard eggs and sausage here. Overall if you are looking for a bite to eat for lunch, or a light dinner, this is a great place to stop in. read more

In town on business, I saw Lilly's quite highly rated, figured I'd give it a shot. The place has a very comfortable feel, menus written on chalkboards, everyone very friendly. There's a VERY nice selection of different sandwiches, wraps, and other lunch-type stuff (salad, panani, soup). All of the sandwiches have special names. I can't remember what mine was named, but it was basically a steak sandwich with blue cheese. Good steak, good quality blue cheese. Very good bread, but nothing to write home about. Sandwiches come with a pickle (not quite sour enough for my tastes, but not the worst pickle). Overall, quite happy with what I ordered. Drink options are plentiful with bottled drinks that aren't sold everywhere (I was quite happy to see Reed's Ginger Beer, even if it wasn't the Extra-Ginger variety) and what looked like homemade fountain drinks (I didn't look THAT closely at them). There was also at least Corona being sold in case you had a really bad morning. As for seating, there aren't many tables (I believe it was 8 2-person tables, many pushed together to create 4-person tables) and they're all VERY close together. Be prepared to get to know your neighbor well. Speed.....could use some work (and why I docked them). When I went in there, there was 1 person taking orders, 3 working on making food, 5 patrons in the restaurant. They were averaging putting out one order every 5 mins. For sandwiches, salads, and soups, it just seemed a bit slow. Nothing too awful but I wouldn't go there if I was in a big rush. And finally, the people who seem to go there....well, it's right by the courthouse and I guess it's a place a lot of lawyers go. And these weren't really high-end lawyers, these all looked/sounded like sleazy guys. 2 were in the corner trying to loudly out-brag each other on getting people off on technicalities. One guy was doing his best to talk up everyone else in the place (looking for new clients? I have no idea, I kept my nose in my book and tried to ignore him). It continued down the line like that. By the time I left, I felt like I needed a shower. So, in the future, I'd definitely recommend going there, just maybe call your order in ahead of time (I saw a few people coming to pick up orders, so that's an option) and probably take it to go. read more

I go to Lilly's often. It's close to the University. The food is fresh and it comes out quick. Many of its customers work at the courthouse and county buildings near by. The salads are very good and the sandwiches are solid. My only issue is they don't want to deviate from the menu. Meaning they don't like special orders. All of their sandwiches are named after cartoon shows, which makes the kid in me think that they are more fun to eat! Both of us ordered the Speed Racer panini. Fried chicken, mozzarella, garlic scented tomato and vodka sauce on a focaccia. Delicious! She ordered a chocolate chip cookie and I had the chocolate chip peanut butter. I have worked in Doylestown for a few years now and am definitely a fan of all of Lily's restaurants. They all have great food and some of the best desserts in town. Now, I do find them to be a little pricey on some things, especially the desserts, but not too outrageous for Doylestown. They are very popular so do set aside a good chunk of time at Lily s or Cafe America. Smokin Lil's is never a bad wait in my experience. read more

After living in Doylestown for 5 years, I'm a bit ashamed to say that my first visit to Lilly's was in July. We don't work local so we've never had a chance to go during the week, so we were psyched for the chance to go when working from home recently. Firstly, this is a small place and can get packed during the lunch hour but it's soo cute inside. They also have some outdoor seating for those nice days (I love sitting outside in Dtown). Lilly's is a jewel tucked away in what looks to be someone's kitchen, on the side of town that most people don't associate with sit-down restaurants (i.e. the strip with Paganini's and Cross Culture). Their food and service, however, makes up for what some may deem to be an over-kitschy atmosphere (which i love). 5 stars. Outstanding and delicious. We had them cater my bridal shower yesterday and they made it a wonderful luncheon. The price was slightly more than I expected but I also feel like the quality/quantity was well worth the price. The server that came was fantastic. She kept everything clean and even packed it all up for us at the end with out us even noticing or requesting that she do so. My mom was thrilled there was one less thing she had to worry about and all our guests enjoyed the food. I was super excited to have the leftovers! There was a bruschetta pasta I think that was out of this world and the chicken francaise was so yummy.
