I had an excellent experience at the Uptowne Deli. They have an extensive sandwich menu. I was nicely greeted when I walked in. This place has been here a long time. It is not real elegant to look at but do not let that fool you. They have tables to sit down. Uptowne Deli does a lot of take out. Pricing $$ area. I had a delicious BLT and also ordered an egg salad sandwich. Both were tasty. Parking is ok but limited. Located about 1/2 mile on the right (get immediately in the right hand lane) when you are getting off the Doylestown Bypass north. It's in the little shopping center on your right. Hubby and I had just visited the Mercer museum and needed lunch. Wanted a sandwich type meal. Came inside and placed our orders. Staff was helpful in answering a couple questions when we got inside. Husband ordered the Rueben and ff and I ordered the deli wrap. It was a wonderfully crafted and tasty wrap. The lettuce, tomatoes and onions were fresh, the meat was good quality and you could tell it was prepared with care, not just slopped all together. French fries were on point and cooked perfectly. Hubby enjoyed his Rueben. We ate inside at a table and they brought the food to our table which was appreciated. They seemed to also do quite a bit of take out / call ahead orders. I am not from this area and was here for work one night. We asked our co-workers who work here a good place to get something to eat. They recommended Uptown Deli and pointed us to the Buffalo Chicken wrap and dino bites. It was very good and filling. I am not a small guy and it was enough to fill me up. The dino bites were very good too. They are broccoli and cheese breaded and deep fried. They have just the right amount of broccoli to cheese ratio. One of the guys ordered hot wings and all i can say is wow. They were the best wings i have had in a while. All in all everything we ordered was very good and very reasonable prices. If I could give zero starts I would... I ordered food at 12:24 pm the e-mail confirmation said my order would be delivered between 1:09 -1:24pm... 2:15 pm no calls nor did anyone bring my food. I have my front door wide open and my ring let's me when anyone is near my garage... so whomever told the Slice company that my food was left at my front door... lied! On the hunt for a late breakfast we ended up in this unassuming restaurant. I have to say the atmosphere is no frills, American Legion Hall. The breakfast was also no frills, well priced - and excellent. We ordered French Toast, a Breakfast Burrito with bacon and cheddar, and a 3 egg platter with scrapple. The burrito was a la carte. The eggs and French Toast came with tasty real fried potatoes (one of the reasons for the 5 stars). The owner and staff are so nice and treat my mother and I like we are family! When I go there I usually get the Italian Chicken Caesar Wrap---so amazing! And if you want to splurge for a fried side (which I usually do) I suggest getting the broccoli & cheddar dino bites--to die for!! I've been going here for a couple years now and I went in yesterday and it was amazing. The service was awesome and the owner is so nice. They all wear masks and it is so sanitary.
