Greeted as soon as we walked in, we let the cashier know we were picking up an order and gave our last name. The cashier went to a well organized shelf, found our order and thanked us. First off, it's impossible to find someone to groom a cat in this area. We had a situation and desperately needed help with our long-haired Siberian. Unlike every other groomer we contacted, Furever Friends Family couldn't have been kinder, more generous, or more accommodating. They squeezed us in for a same-day appointment without hesitating. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely love animals. They took the time to understand my cats needs, her personality, and ensured a tailored grooming experience. My usually anxious feline felt at ease almost immediately (and seemed to like them more than me!) The grooming itself was top-notch. My cat came out looking like a show-stopper. Additionally, the space is spotless. You can tell cleanliness is a top priority! I can't recommend Furever Friends Family enough. Samples for extra smiles and good behavior I make homemade treats at home so we focus on the things that I don't produce in my own kitchen: the beef sticks, and some of the other snacks. Most of these haven't been manufactured anywhere, but the USA. And an extra bonus is that Dani always helps with heavy items. The smiles are everywhere. Being fairly new to the area I inquired on NextDoor if anyone had experience with a surgeon. The majority of the answers pointed us towards Dr. Paul McNamara with Hudson Highland Veterinary Group. Upon our first visit we quickly discovered Dr McNamara was surgeon for Dutchess County K9 dogs and has been awarded commendations for his years of dedicated service. He demonstrated a gentle approach towards Mia and quickly determined she had a luxtating patella that did require surgery. Our consultation was not rushed he answered every single question and you can imagine trusting our baby who is never had any issues prior was absolutely terrifying. Dr. McNamara was thorough and even sent us home with a video explaining the procedure and after care with regards to this particular surgery. They even took the opportunity to allow us to view the operating room and after the initial consultation,we knew that we had selected the best choice possible for our little girl. We arrived at7AM for her drop off and the team was easily reachable with the dozens of questions throughout the day and night. The next day Mia came home a little woozy but overall in good spirits. I hear a lot of owners saying the cone to prevent licking the stitches is stressful. The team here uses a Lick sleeve which was a pant leg that was fastened on the surgical leg to prevent her licking the incision. This made for a less stressful environment for all of us. Dr. McNamara, Colleen, Allison and Tara were super kind and supportive throughout the entire process. She is now 12 weeks post surgery and doing quiet well. We are thrilled with the outcome and would not hesitate recommending them in the future.

An employee literally laughed at me when I expressed fear and concern for my puppy who was in the back barking incessantly (which she literally has never done before). She literally laughed while my dog who never barks was screaming, while simultaneously ignoring my request to see her while I was waiting for several minutes and then trying to help the gentleman who walked in after me. Employees made it clear that they don't care about my dog and they verbatim said "get a certified trainer" (when she already has one) to justify their abhorrent, inhumane behavior is what you can expect. I would not recommend trusting the staff at ShamPooches with your dog.
