I have been coming here for 10+ years, always first before Lowe's because it is so clean and easy to navigate. Eileen seems to know everything about the store from memory. Andy and Brian don't sit still, they are always flying around helping everyone find the right stuff. I recently went there looking for furniture hardware to fix my bed headboard, right before the store closed. Glenn and Lou both helped me design a new bolt/nut setup to fix the pieces with stronger parts so it wouldn't break again, while using the existing drilled holes so it looks perfect. I was the last customer out as they were shutting off the lights and then I heard it was even Lou's birthday...stayed late to help me with a $10 purchase. This is how True Value earns the loyalty of their customers and takes the stress and uncertainty out of the average DIY jobs. Glenn and Lou could tell how important this repair was to me, and they gave it the same attention as a major renovation. It is amazing how cheap it can be to fix/maintain things instead of buy new ones. Take some digital pics and bring to the store and tell the crew to give you whatever you need to tackle the project. Be sure to rent tools from them too, so easy and cheap! They will even deliver the equipment to your house for you. Get Benjamin Moore paints from them too, good stuff lasts longer than junk and requires fewer coats...your time is valuable!

Clearly there is change for the worse and customers like us who spend thousands should go elsewhere for more flexible policy. Today they saw fit to argue with us over $6 in commodity electrical outlet boxes. Really? The young girl at the desk copped an attitude. Then a manager came over and miraculously took a few more items than she. But alas cited the store managers policy and again left us walking out over a few dollars. So we went and checked the items and sure enough they were stocking items right there in their bulk bins in electric. Why stick it in your customer and then waste your time with a twist! Such poor service and a poor behavior. The store was not even busy. Last time Lowes let this happen our secretary had to write a letter to corporate. After much complaining corporate gave us $25 over a $12 commodity item return issue. The orange guys and the true guys would never waste their labors time arguing over such petty nonsense. I'll ask yelp to remove this review if lowes ever handles this issue. 2600902 Corporate has received a letter and is looking into the employee issues at the store. Update , another employee sees my side and credited me. You see, its not the company, it is the employee you get. That makes or breaks it. You can't blame a corporation for everything. Sometimes you may need patience with employees if busy and especially some when their experience and knowledge with hardware is limited. Learning together plays a role that all works out with teamwork. Came to page for some glass panes for a clients house i was working on. I called first and was told…read moreby kenny that they had glass in stock and were able to cut what i needed. I drove over and spoke to a man working the counter at the dewalt tool section who was accompanied by an older gentleman who informed me the glass cutter was broken and glass was out of stock. They told me to come back monday and there was nothing they could for me. I said that was unacceptable and spoke to the man who i spoke to on the phone. He told me right away they could help me. He called over greg and he helped me with a great attitude. The man who said the machine was broken visited greg in the glass cutting room to inform him the machine was broken but greg looked at it and informed the man it was indeed not broken. Greg was awesome and he knows what he is doing. The other two guys need to learn better communication and customer service. My first page experience started not so good but ended well. I had a Truck Rental booked for today, which I booked yesterday. It was for an 8' Flatbed. I found…read morea really good deal on a rooftop tent for my Jeep and I was so excited I found it at this price. They're about $2k after taxes and shipping and this one was $250. And I haven't found anything remotely close to that price. Only used a few times it's in great shape. Only problem was, it doesn't fit in the trunk, hence the truck rental. So I booked the truck for all of today, got the confirmation and everything. In the morning, I go to pick it up & I check my emails just to make sure I booked it for the location closest to me and not another location, and saw a new email from Home Depot with the subject line: "Your reserved item is out of stock.", followed up with "Your reservation for Sunday at 11am has been cancelled. WE'RE SORRY." sent at 9:30am. So 90 minutes before scheduled pickup. I go into the store & go to the Rental Desk, and I explain that I had a Truck Rental for 11am and that they cancelled my reservation an hour and a half prior. Their answer was, "We don't have those types of trucks for rental." In another scenario with a different set of circumstance, this answer would be totally acceptable. However, if the location doesn't have that type of vehicle, the website advices this with an error message and denies you from booking the reservation. But this was not the case for this vehicle, obviously, because I paid for and recieved confirmation for the reservation. So now, I have To cancel vacation reservations and plans, and lose out on non refundable deposits because Home Depot's IT department can't do a simple task. And sure, coding is hard for the average person, but that's their job. That's what corporations like Home Depot pay them the big bucks. And knowing a little bit about coding myself, that's not something difficult to do. They already have the function for other vehicle rental choices that aren't available at my location so they even already have the code to make it "inert" or put it in an "inactive state". I sent an email to corporate advising of what just happened. The one thing I will say is they were quick to respond. The unfortunate part was that is just an apology and that they understood my frustration. No remedy. No solution to the problem. I can't express how disappointing this was to cancel my vacation plans. As an investor, I am so thoroughly disappointed in Home Depot, being a $334/Share corporation bringing in over $40 Billion in revenue each quarter, and they can't even have a properly working website. Home Depot cut 800 corporate jobs on January 28, 2026. Either they trimmed too much fat in the IT department or failed to hire someone competent in replace of the people they fired to fatten their pockets. I hope Market Makers are actively shorting your stock.
