I want to preface this by saying I had a great experience the first time I came here in December, with Belle 10/10. My full review this time is specifically related to the older stylist who was not helpful at all in my experience. And honestly was very "salesly" and I only tried on one dress the entire appointment. So here goes... A Masterclass in Doing the Absolute Least... I showed up excited to wedding dress shop. I left wondering if I had accidentally interrupted someone's last shift before retirement. We called ahead to see if we could move our appointment earlier and were told, "Sorry, no availability." Totally fine--except when we walked in and the store was so empty it echoed. Eventually, a consultant appeared and asked what kind of dresses I liked. I described exactly what I was looking for and was promptly informed that they had nothing like that in the store, that they were fresh out of lace mermaid dresses. No offer to check. No alternative suggestions. Just a verbal shrug. Meanwhile, my mom--on a completely unrelated journey to the bathroom--managed to stumble upon MULTIPLE dresses in my size (bridal 4) that fot that description. Apparently the restroom route is more fruitful than asking the consultant whose job this is. The only dress I tried on? One I had already tried on a month ago--pulled by a previous stylist (shoutout to Belle, who was actually amazing and clearly carried the entire store on her back). This time, it was a size 6, and I was told it would require $1,000 in alterations to fit me. I am a bridal 4. The math is... confusing. The consultant then graciously pulled exactly one more dress for me. A size 12. She warned me it would be "swimming" on me, as if I hadn't already tried on several size 12 dresses before with zero issue. It seemed like she didn't want to clip me in a bigger dress. It was giving "I'm done for the day and I would like you to also be done." Overall vibe: I felt less like a bride shopping for her wedding dress and more like an inconvenience standing between someone and clocking out. If you're looking for attentive service, thoughtful styling, or even mild enthusiasm--keep walking. If you want to be told nothing exists while standing in a store full of dresses... congratulations, you've found the place. Would not return. Would not recommend. Would suggest the bathroom tour though--it's where the real inventory lives. read more

The dresses are fine, nothing fancy. It's what you'd expect at an outlet. But the main downside was the service we received. I didn't catch the lady who was helping us, but she was cold, unfriendly, and I don't think she cracked a smile once. I brought 3 people with me to try on the dresses and they were all unimpressed with the service received. We were rushed by the lady helping us and were in an out in less than 30 min and tried on about 6 dresses. They forwarded us to the actual Lily's Bridal shop which was a much better service experience. read more

The woman helping me first asked me my favorite style and size. Then she instructed that we search the racks for something that catches our eye! It was so much fun and the store had tons of dresses to choose from. I grabbed about 7 dresses. I fell in love with two of the dresses. They were a really great price and were so beautiful! Since this shop is an Outlet - it is a try on, buy and take home that day shop! Dresses are one of a kind - so if you see something you like you have to jump on it quickly! The shop is currently closed due to shelter-in-place mandate but I absolutely adored the sweet associate, Katrina, whom assisted me. She was very conscientious, incredibly helpful, patient, and friendly. There was no pressure tactics and she was genuinely interested in helping me make the right selection. A plus for the customer-service here. Another grade A for the selection of dresses. It took me going to other bridal shops to realize Lily's Bridal outlet is a gem. The dresses are $1500 or less when they retail for much more. For instance, now that I am learning more about wedding dress designers, one of the Maggie Sottero dress I tried on and really liked retailed for more than $2000 and was $999 there. My cheap behind did not get it and now I have the opposite of buyer's remorse. Again, I cannot emphasize enough how much I highly recommend future brides to pay at visit to this shop. I was worried about finding a dress because I'm not your average bride ... I waited until we were 5-6 months away to go looking lol. So I knew I had to basically find something off the rack. Which can be difficult for someone whose 5 foot and a size 2! I had manifested to the universe that this would be the place I would find my dress. Regardless I tried one other place and they were nice but wanted me to fit in something that was 6 times my size and over worn. However at Lily's they listened to me! I wasn't very specific which helped but knew it needed to be light weight as our wedding is in Colombia. I LOVE that they have everything divided in style PLUS the size. So it was quick to find things and I appreciate even MORE that they had allll of the dresses in clear bags. None were over worn or anything which someone like me would hope for. I had the most incredible experience with Vilma. She was patient, kind, and gave professional input. I am the worst when it comes to making decisions but she ensured we picked out a bunch of dresses in my size that we both liked. I honestly did not know what I wanted walking in there but she was encouraging while we tried different styles. I ended up buying the first dress I tried on. She was so kind to let me try on more to be sure. I think I went a little over my appointment time but she did not rush me at all, but instead communicated with all parties involved and we wrapped up the purchase. I LOVED every dress I tried on, and making a choice was so hard. I feel so great about my choice since Vilma showed me what it will look like with the alterations I wanted, and she suggested how to go about getting it the way I wanted. I also loved that I went home with a dress that day. I do not have to worry about crazy shipping times or delays. There was not a shortage of beautiful dresses. I had one idea for what I wanted in mind, but my consultant Katrina, encouraged me to try on other styles. I ended up loving one of them, and realizing i wanted that style. I left that day without purchasing anything but kept thinking about that one dress. I went shopping with my bridal party a few weeks later and found a different dress at another store and put a down payment down. But, i couldn't stop thinking about that dress! Before my final payment was due, I called Lily's just to ask if that dress i loved was still in stock. They responded immediately, found the dress and fifteen minutes later Katrina was helping me try it on. I knew it was the one and bought it. I feel like a lot of people mostly leave reviews when having a negative experience. I just wanted to post a positive review to give the recognition Lily's deserves. I went to another place and had such a terrible experience that I felt so discouraged. I think what made it such a nice experience here has to be the staff. I felt welcomed immediately upon arrival. However, I want to give a special thank you and shout out to Melissa, who personally helped us and went beyond her duties for us. Guys, make an appointment for places like this. If you don't, you might think it was a negative experience, but these ladies can only do so much for the time they are given with brides. Melissa was able to juggle two brides when scheduled with just one, and she gave us such good attention and picked out beautiful dresses that we never considered. She put us out of our comfort zone and we both went home with dresses today. Now we are returning dresses we had previously got from other places. She was a hype man for us and most importantly patient and kind to us. The prices here vary but nothing goes over $1500. read more

Since my review was deleted on google I will be reposting so that everyone knows the kind of experience you get at Lily's. HORRIBLE PLACE WITH HORRIBLE SERVICE! I came in the other day looking to get ideas for my wedding dress after wanting to come here since I was first engaged. I live right down the road and have wanted to come in since they were still at their colonial location but covid set things back. My mother in law was in town so it was supposed to be a special day for us. My own mom was killed in 2020 so she can't come with me like most daughters get to experience. While browsing a dress, an associate walked by and let me know, unprovoked, that I was much too fat for the dress I was looking at. Her words in a nutshell were "That dress is way to small for you, you'd never fit that. You need to look for something much bigger" it's a six". Now mind you, I was a size 6 prior to giving birth to my daughter a year ago. But that's immaterial. Another associate came to help shortly after that and I let them know about the experience and her take on things were "she could have said it better" or perhaps not call customers fat at al. The second associate did not ask what I was looking for simply asked my size and when I gave it to her she let me know that I was wrong and I needed to look for something 2 sizes bigger. She also never asked what style I wanted but I had explained in the beginning I was open to all styles as we were just trying to find what style I liked. She told us 3 times to go somewhere else if I wanted glits and glam, which I never said I wanted. The whole experience was horrible and left me mortified. I went in excited to find an idea of what I wanted and possibly find my dream dress and left feeling horrible about my body and big day. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I hope no bride ever is made to feel like I was while trying to find the dress for their special day. Amazing service and beautiful dress selection. Finding my dream dress seemed like a hassle until I came here. What's even better is that I was also able to get my accessories for my big day here as well. Tillie does her alterations in store and is an absolute God-send! I'm saying that, Without the slightest exaggeration. She knew EXACTLY what adjustments to make so that my gown fit me absolutely perfect! Every person I interacted with gave the best advice on every detail that I was unsure about. From the height of shoes I needed to how best to have my stylist to secure my veil for my hairstyle. I had found Lily's Bridal Outlet by googling some wedding dress places. I had already been to a couple different places to try on dresses and was getting discouraged. I made my appointment and headed out with my mom. At first I wasn't sure how this would go. 1.) They also have a regular salon so you might go to the wrong place first. (They are close to each other and it happens all the time so they are used to it) 2.) It is kind of run down looking. 3.) It May depend on who you get on how good your experience may be. I had Justine and I highly recommend her!!! 4.) If you do find a dress you have to kind of buy it right then and there since it's an outlet and no guarantee that it would still be there if you left. So be ready if you do find it to buy it. We walked in and apparently our appointment time was very full. (Found out one of the brides was in the wrong place so then it opened up some). Now they have spots for I believe 3 brides but where 2 fitting rooms are you kind of have to share the mirror. Which I was fine with especially since there was a very nice bride with just her mother also. It was nice to compare dresses and help each other know if the dress looked good or not so I didn't mind sharing the mirror. Again I had Justine who was very nice and made me feel comfortable right away and helped me in and out of dresses and talk through what I was liking or not liking. For those of you who check reviews before you patronize a business, know this: Lily's Outlet has two entrances. One is conveniently located facing Canton Street right in front of the closest parking spaces. One is around in the front of the building and faces busy Mills Avenue. For reasons unknown, the side door has a sign directing people to the front door along a sidewalk with an unmarked and unsigned grade. I know ... I fell and did serious dental damage 4 days before my daughter's wedding. I don't blame Lily's for the fall, but I do think they should welcome customers into their building in the most convenient manner ... not send them around the building along a busy street. read more

The woman who helped was wonderful, patient, kind, and praised her hourglass figure. It's so refreshing to find a place that praises women that actually have curves!! Alterations review: I heard about Tillie from another friend and she is amazing!! I did not buy my dress there, but took it to Tillie for the alterations. I'm so glad I did! She was very honest with me on what I needed and did not need. She helped me save money for unnecessary alterations and got my dress back to me super quick. I am picking up my actual wedding dress from my old alt. Lady and bringing it to Tillie to finish bc I trust her more than the other store my dress is at. Surprisingly great place to find a wedding dress off the rack! They have a huge selection and the people were very helpful. Justine helped me with my fitting and, after trying on several dresses, I wanted to give up. But then she found one I never thought I'll like....and voila! I found my dress!! Only problem was that it was too both on me, but Tilly is magical in her altering skills and made it like the dress was custom made for me. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Highly recommend this place. All dresses are under $1,000 (not orderable like the Lily Bridal Non-Outlet) and in great condition. The bridal consultant kim, was very rude, didn't help put the dress on like other places, she was dressed very unprofessional with crocs and her hair giant rolls on her head. I thought we were in the wrong store at first. She was very rude and kept saying there is no dresses under a thousand,this was supposed to be a great experience for a bride to be. She was so horrible we left and went to David's bridal. And found a great dress for under $700. read more

There is a huge selections of gowns here. And I was very excited to bring my daughter here. She flew in from Wisconsin to dress shop so I did recon before she arrived and this was one of my must see shops. Well boy o boy did I make a HUGE MISTAKE. We has an appt at 11:30. the "attendant" we were assigned behaved as though we were keeping her from something much more pressing-or perhaps she hates her job, but she was rude. We were instructed to go sit down and that she and the bride would be looking through the dresses alone. I informed her that the bride was not footing the bill and I went to the racks and started looking. We were allowed to pick out 3 gowns and then my daughter was sent to try on. She was told that they weren't allowed to use clips, yet the girl beside us was allowed to have clips on hers. Ok. Whatever. But then every time my daughter was ready to be trussed up, or was ready to hand out a dress she was no where to be found. We found dresses that we liked, but I'll be damned if I'm going to give 1k plus to people that are being nasty to my and my child. So although we were allotted 1.5 hours to try dresses we left after a little over 30 minutes with a very bad taste in our mouth. Perhaps it was a bad day. The lady that I spoke to when I initially looked at gowns before making my appt was very accommodating. But all in all I would not recommend going here because a wedding dress is too big of a purchase to leave to chance. read more
