They have the best gorditas in Laredo Tx. My mother in law took me today and it was the best decision ever!

Best tortas in town! And the gorditas are excellent. It's great to support locally owned family business. I highly recommend it.

Man. Oh man. Boy did we come on off day or what ?!?! First…read morethe address listed is not the actual address the restaurant is located at. It's moved into a shopping center close to the Arena. When we got there - there was a large table about 12-16 that looked like they'd been there awhile since their they all had drinks and orders where not taken while we were there. There was also another large table (10-12) that had left since it was evidenced by all the dirty plates and cups left behind. I hoped that it wasn't an omen for our experience to come. We sat at an available table that had extra glasses and unexplainable crumbs which were picked up. We waited for the rest of our party (2) for about 15 minutes and I noticed a couple of other tables filling up. I also noticed that there were no plates being delivered to the large table. Hmmmm. Red flag. We got our coffees while we waited. We then ordered- chilaquiles, 2 tacos, 2 huevos rancheros plates. While we wait for over an hour, I finally start seeing one and two plates being delivered to that large table. I thought - man we are in trouble. During this time at least one table walked out. And still people were coming and all waiting. And waiting and waiting. By the time we got our food it was close to an hour and a half, the chilaquiles were lukewarm at best and the tacos were served in reheated tortillas. I know those- it's when the flour tortilla ends up getting on the crispy side. Sent the chilaquiles back and did not reorder. How can you serve it to a customer when the cheese has been melted and they waited too long that the cheese cooled and congealed. We were patient but damnnnnnnn an hour and a half for a Mexican breakfast. Yikes! Maybe they didn't expect the large parties or maybe one of the cooks called in. But daaaaaanggg... waiting for almost an hour and a half for food.... not sure what to say about that.... please someone let me know if their turnaround times from order to delivery improves.

Great food! Great service! Amazing portions! Very affordable!…read more I was traveling with a group of about 30 people and I needed to find a place that was friendly with groups and that had good options under $15. Luckily I found this place on yelp and I couldn't have been more pleased. I made a reservation and I had to change the time, they had no problem with this and accommodated for us. When we got there, they had a table ready and welcomed us in a friendly fashion. They quickly came and took our orders and started handing out plates quick. The food was great! Several people got different plates since a lot of their options are under $15 and none of them had regrets. The portions were huge and I can honestly say the have the best fish tacos I have ever had. Hands down! You HAVE to try them!

Very disappointing experience I would not recommend this…read moreplace. My husband is out of town and happened to be near Mexico, so he was excited to try some authentic tacos. Unfortunately, his experience was anything but welcoming. He had a difficult time communicating with the employee on the intercom because of the language barrier. When he finally got someone who spoke English, they explained that the order came with four tacos. When he went to pay with Apple Pay, the employee took his phone and then closed the window without immediately returning it. My husband actually had to open the window himself to get his phone back. According to him, everyone looked surprised or confused by what happened. Because we have experienced identity theft in the past, this was an immediate red flag for him. When someone takes your phone while you're trying to pay and then closes the window without giving it back, that's not something you should have to wonder about. Instead of receiving an apology or having the situation handled professionally, he was given three tacos instead of four, with only beef and tortillas no onion, no cilantro, and no salsa. After checking his order, he had to ask for the missing toppings and finally received them. As a Latina myself, I find this entire experience incredibly disappointing. If you're serving customers in the United States, there should be an effort to communicate with them and provide the same quality of food and service regardless of whether they're Latino or American. My husband went there looking forward to authentic tacos and left feeling uncomfortable and poorly treated. Based on this experience, we will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place to our family, friends, or followers.

I heard about this place being a good place to go, and it's been there forever…read more I started off slow, (pictures would be good on the menu), so I got the crispy tacos with beans and rice, very good. BUT there are so many other things to try, I have been in Laredo for 4.5 years, and it's been hard to find a Mexican restaurant that reminds me of home (Arizona, California), this might just be the place!! Oh, and the prices are reasonable, and the Rocks Margaritas are very good too. I will be back.

There are bars on every window and a bit rundown down but the parking lot had a ton of cars. That speaks volumes! We were greeted and told we could sit anywhere, other than reserved spots since there was a band starting at 8pm. The band was a huge plus. They brought chips and salsa and we ordered some margaritas. Just a note, they don't do Cadillac. The were good, not great. Same with the Pina Colada. My husband ordered the crispy tacos and I the tres enchiladas with a salad. The salad was all iceberg lettuce with an interesting dressing with a tangy flair. The enchiladas were good but the beans dried out. My husband wasn't crazy about the tacos. We stayed for the band which consisted of one guy. Regardless, he was fun and did all genres of music. Overall, it was a great first night experience. Thanks Charlie! We enjoyed metting you too!

Golden Corral or Mexican? I decided, since I'm at the Mexican border, I gotta go with Mexican food…read more This is a local chain, and I've been to one of their other locations before. I think they were good (reviews for them are all nearly 4 stars). They're also relatively cheaper than many of the other Mexican restaurants in the area. I ordered the enchiladas suizas (chicken). The salsa tasted fresh, but it was made with diced jalapeños, so it had a kick. Did my best to avoid those. I wasn't too lucky half the time. Why is salsa in south Texas so freaking spicy? I just don't understand the desire to eat food that burns your mouth and creates an uncontrollable tearing of the eyes. ‍ my mama used to say if Mexican food didn't make you cry it wasn't good. And many people will tell you that hot, spicy food is supposed to release endorphins which make you feel good. I hope it doesn't give me bad indigestion tonight. most likely it's the salsa that will do it because of the tomatoes. Tomatoes are acidic and acidic foods cause acid reflux. And coffee and chocolate among other things. We got a list of things when Don was being treated for his severe Barrettes Esophagus.
