I really wanted to give a good review because the receptionist and the guy (Noah) who translate what I wanted to my technician were very cordial and attentive. The problem I see here is that it seems they assigned NEW and inexperienced technicians to new clients. I came to Saint Augustine for vacation and while I was here I needed to get a pedicure done, I figured this is FL, people probably do pedis all year round here (I live in the NE) how bad can this be, BOY I WAS WRONG! Not only my technician didn't understand what I was saying and we have to call one of her coworkers to assist her but also did a VERY POOR JOB IN THE PAINTING OF THE NAILS. My 8 year older could had done a better job. It looks blotchy and uneven and it wasn't even cheap $35 for a basic pedi, a bad pedi.. ‍ Never coming here again. I read the reviews before coming but everyone who gave 5 star review has been going there for ages, so I guess they only take care of the regulars?? I don't know but the owner should pay attention. We were in town for a family event. Lily's salon is family-owned and operated. The family is just awesome! My DIL had a pedi with "Mr. Lily "and Noah did her manicure, and Lily's brother did the BEST French mani ever on my natural nails. 10 days later my French mani still looks great - mind you, I was packing and unpacking, cooking, chasing after toddlers and attended a black-tie wedding. There is no denying that the owner Lily has no 'bedside manner'. She comes off rude - there is no dispute there. while I was getting my nails done, some woman walks in and right to the table and starts asking about getting HER nails done. Lily got up and spent the next 15 minutes taking care of her - even though there were other people working!!!What angers me yo NO end is that she charged me $87 for a regular, typical French manicure. My pedicure was done by a woman and she did a great job. The. I was adhered to Lily. She never answered a question. Very y friendly and rough. She broke off the Dip product from my nails. She could have e had them soaking during b the pedicure. And stopped to help a guy she was training for 1/2 hour and again for 15 minutes. Never even apologized or acknowledged my inconvenience. To top it all off, charged my $90! I will NEVER GO BACK THERE! She was touch, rude and mean spirited. I am not a Wimp but I refuse to be treated with disrespect when I am paying for a service. Miss Lily was so friendly and worked hard to fit my friend and me in despite not having an appointment- despite it being a busy time. Salon is nice and clean. All of the staff members were friendly. Several regulars came and went while I was there and they were treated like family by the Lily's Nails staff. Good prices too! They take credit card but prefer cash specifically for tipping if possible. I will certainly be coming back here for a fill in 2 weeks before returning home! Excellent service in relaxing atmosphere. The pricing is was comparable to other salons and I was able to get in without a wait.

I went in hoping for some pampering and pretty feet, but I got the complete opposite on both counts. My technician was rude, and treated my feet as if she was mad at them. She was very rough, ripping the skin off my toes, and I had to point out to her what she missed. She rushed the service and ignored me and my complaints the whole time. Was in St. Augustine for a day and needed my nails done badly!! I found this place...first let me say, hey actually take you at your "scheduled appointment time"! That right there, should've been an indication that my experience would be exceptional! The owners daughter (forgot to get her name ), was very precise in masking my request. I can tell that Ms. Lily takes extreme pride in the services provided; as she watched on as her daughter assisted me, giving her references of her training. That just made me feel extra well cared for by the master and her trainee! Sadly, I can't have them as my permanent nail techs...because I can't take them back with me to NC ! Don't waste your time or money here. My daughter and I went here today while on a family vacation. When having our pedicure my daughter asked the nail technician to not scrape her feet due to a recent running injury. He proceeded to speak loudly at her, telling her how bad her feet looked. Both of our pedicures looked rushed and the paint job was uneven. The worst experience was when I was taken to an older woman to perform my gel manicure. She never greeted me and instead sighed as if being inconvenienced. When she wanted me to move my fingers or arms, she grabbed them roughly and moved them herself instead of asking me to do so. She shaped my nails but left one pointy and the others oval. When I asked her to shape it, she sighed negatively. My gel was uneven and sloppy looking. She was planning to end the job without taking care of my cuticles. When she saw me looking at them, she grabbed my hands and proceeded to pull out oil and a clipping tool. She roughly tugged at my cuticles and caused one to bleed. When I became upset, she sighed negatively again and roughly put an ointment on it. At this point, I asked her not to continue. I was very concerned that it would happen again. She roughly put cuticle oil on my cuticles and then said, "You are finished." I asked her to please rub the oil in. She grabbed my hands and roughly rubbed in the oil while negatively saying, "You want me to rub in the oil for you?!" She then said, "You visiting here?" I said, "Yes, we are from California." She then said, "In California, you have to pay extra for cuticles." I told her "No" and that my nail technician takes care of my cuticles as part of the overall service. She looked at me and smirked. Then she said, "What's her ethnicity?" I didn't answer so she said, "If she's Vietnamese then she charged you extra!" I told her again that no one has ever charged separately for that part of the service. I ended the conversation. Such an odd point she was trying to make. This was a disappointing experience. My daughter and I were passed from person to person, techs were mostly unfriendly, pinky drew blood when filed too roughly, final coat was not applied on fingers until I asked for it. We went here in a pinch on vacation. The owner let us know it was an inconvenience, but took us anyway. He acted like it would take him a long time to do our nails. We were grateful. Our nails were done just as quickly or quicker than at home. I gave better than average tips because they made me feel like I was putting them behind with mine and my daughters business and I wanted our nails nice on vacation. Plus complaining about our nails. I was growing out acrylic and refusing to have my natural nails filled. I have great natural nails and wanted to converge without pain, cutting the acrylic down and blending. It can be done. I've done it, and my natural nails were almost grown out. My daughter only had gel polish. My nail technician was ok, my daughter had the male technician, maybe the boss? who was a putz. I had a feeling and should have left when he acted like he was doing us a favor. He didn't seem busy after he quickly polished my daughters nails. Both of our polish chipped the next day on 4 fingers or more each. Which made us annoyed the rest of our vacation. The salon is cleaner than the one at home, but to pay the amount they charge on top of my great tip? I paid 158.00. For basically polish changes. No luxury hand massages or anything. My daughters was more expensive than mine? Didn't make sense. But, we were on vacation. They looked fair when we left. I wouldn't go here even as a last resort. Very full of themselves for no good reason other than location. I wish I would've saved my money and left our nails the way they were because they looked just as bad or worse the day after. We've decided to never get our nails done again!!. We can watch movies at home and do a far better job without inconveniencing ourselves or anyone else. What should have been a great experience from the reviews left us looking at our chipped nail polish day after day feeling embarrassed when we had nice events to go to in Savannah. My daughter was trying to chip her polish off yesterday 3 weeks later and I quote, " funny how this won't come off, but the edges chipped the day after". Just know they may nod and laugh. Make u feel like they're doing you a favor. They thought I complained about my local salon?!!! Our polish was up to the tips from our local salon 2 weeks earlier. We just wanted a color change.
