Family owned and Lily is amazing. Horrible Food‼ 1st experience I ordered a cheese steak stromboli. When I cut it the grease ooosed out of it like it was a school science volcano project. When I called to inform them of my disapproval. I was given every excuse in the book. Then they said that's how we make them and refused to give me a refund or exchange the stromboli. 2nd dining experience I ordered a buffalo chicken salad. They cut 1 tomato in 4 like a orange, gave me 1 egg, XL pieces of over cooked chicken with barely any sauce, and all the lettuce a family of rabbits could eat. All the extras I added were dismissed but I was charged for them. I had my coworker who placed the orders call first she was given loads of excuses after they admitted their mistakes. Still no apology, exchange or refund. I called back because it was my lunch that was ruined. I was quoted another total, given a bunch of excuses and still no apology, refund or exchange. Formally Nimo's pizza, Lilly's serves your typical pizzeria fare; including pasta, sandwiches, salads, wings and more. They are the only non-corporate owned national chain that offers delivery in the area (for an additional fee). We especially love their pizza because the crust is firm, crisp and delicious. Their cheese is real (it's more cheese than oil!), so the orange drip other local pizza shops have is minimal here. Their sandwiches are pretty good too. The only Achilles heel about this place is timing. When an order is placed and they say 10 minutes, leave your house about 20 minutes later because they tend to get backed up and you end up waiting in the restaurant for sometime. Although there is no public wifi, there is a large screen TV while you wait. Their delivery service is fairly quick, we tried it a handful of times, but pickup is still the quickest. Their Monday special is two large cheese pizzas for $18, this is great for the area as the portion sizes of each slice is big and the taste... One off-menu item they have are garlic knots. This place is amazing. My favorite was the cheesesteak. The meat had so much flavor... it was seasoned so well. The cheese they use is defiantly not "cheap" as it had an amazing flavor on its own. The bread was soft, yet didn't get soggy! That was the winner for me. The pizza was amazing. The sauce is very flavorful. Again, the cheese they use is great. The wings were meaty. The fries were so good. The poppers had a great spice. Defiantly my go to spot from now on. No longer will I need to drive to Philly to get my cheesesteak fix. This place is AWESOME!!! The food is always very good and the servings are real generous. The only downside is that when they tell you your food will be ready in 20 minutes and you go over there to pick it up 9 times out of 10 you find yourself standing around still waiting for it to be finished. Sooo incredibly annoying on delivery and take out. Ordered stuffed shells and chicken parm at 6:37pm for delivery and it's now 8:16pm and it's still NOT HERE. We called at 8pm to ask where it was and it seemed as though they forgot and said "oh a couple of minutes". The food is good, but not worth such an insanely long wait. Judging based upon being a local cook my whole life this is best pizza, hoagie and cheesesteak in thorndale without a doubt (i've had them all ALOT). Cheesesteak is massive and meat was cooked to perfection, the order was made just as asked with extra mushrooms & fried onion on it just like a classic philly cheesesteak. There is already mozarella put into the meat and the onions come diced very nice addition to make it all hold together in the roll. I personally ordered the cheese wiz sauce on the side to top my cheesesteak off it was well worth it to. Wings were amazing with the homemade lilys sauce they do fresh in the pan on the stove top. Its a really unique twist on mild sauce and is one of its own to me as a sauce cant compare it to another, so good though. Very meaty wings NOT frozen, all prepped fresh and no doubt one of the BEST deals around for wings. Mom loved the lily's salad, it had shrimp, chicken and eggs above a beautiful bed of fresh greens. Presentation was out of this world it shows they really care. When this place first changed its name to Lily's it was pretty fantastic as far as pizza shops using all frozen stuff from SAMs club / costco goes. However things have drastically changed, delivery times are 1.5 hours and I live half a mile away on the same road the restaurant is on. Since the delivery times have been so horrid we decided to just give them another few tries doing pickup. Every time we are told it will be ready in 15-20 minutes, I'll wait 30 mins before leaving my house and I still have to wait 10-15 minutes for my food when I arrive. Pizzas take a couple minutes or 10 max to bake, everything else is frozen bulk bought crap just thrown into a fryer for a few minutes. Never an explanation or apology as to why everything takes so long, our money will be spent elsewhere even though this is the closest restaurant to our house. read more
