Passing through and finally decided to stop in at Pizza Mia. Seating area is spacious, comfortable, and most of all - very clean. Nice pizza shop atmosphere. There is also a nice outdoor deck out in the back Ordered an Italian hoagie with homemade chips suggested by the owner Shadi, who is fully engaged with his customers. We stopped at this local, casual pizza place for a quick bite. It's located in a vintage building close to a busy intersection that it shares with another business. Once you enter the driveway, there is one handicap parking spot next to it while the ramp to get on the front porch is on the opposite side, probably something they could not avoid due to the age of the building. All other parking is down a steep hill so to get in the place you either walk the hill or take two flights of stairs in the back up to the store level. At the top of the stairs, is a deck with outdoor dining. Pizza here was good, thin crust and a bit oily. Cheesesteaks are pretty generous with decent beef and plenty of onion. I prefer a bit more cheese but that's a personal preference. Pizza by the slice including Sicilian slices also were available. Diners have a choice of fountain drinks or bottles of Coke products. Booth benches line the long wall parallel to the counter with table and chairs. Two large TVs were broadcasting the same show plus the music playing in the prep area made it a bit noisy. My friends and I ordered delivery from this establishment. We ordered just regular cheese and pepperoni pizza. The delivery came promptly but to our surprise all the pizzas were crushed to one side. Picture attached are after us trying to fix it. When calling the establishment, they just expressed remorse and said "that's not how they operate". Then they said they would pick the pizza back up and deliver new ones but at this point all of my friends were so hungry and didn't want to wait another 45 minutes. Any good establishment would have offered a refund or discount due to damaged goods but no accommodations for the inconvenience was offered. read more

Was hungry for some pizza and wanted to try this place and ordered from their menu Primavera pizza and some jalapeño poppers. The restaurant is located at the intersection of horshoepike and Hopewell rd/Ereceville rd. As you enter, the parking is on the rear side of the restaurant. They have nice seating inside, probably 6 booths and then outside deck a couple of tables, overall nice inside and what you can expect in a pizzeria. You can eat side and ambiance is quite good. The people working there are definitely passionate, and the service is super fast. The pizza was ready when we went there, we tried and everyone in the family liked it, ingredients tasted good, crust was little hard otherwise good pizza. Jalapeño poppers was perfectly done and very good taste. Cheese could have been less but tasty. I will try this place in a few weeks and then post more. Try this place !!! read more

I sometimes prefer ordering this way since they'll be able to tell you immediately if they're out of something, you can be sure they're open, and you won't need to pay 30% more like you do with the big delivery apps. First time we ordered from them, because you have to walk up a lot of steps & & we are elderly & very difficult to pull out into traffic. They do deliver, but you never know how long that will take, we already had to wait 3 mins before picking up. After my husband picked it up & brought it home, we found out that they put onions on it! OK, please let me preface this comment by acknowledging the fact that this is a new pizza place. So, there are bound to be issues and growing pains. That being said we tried it for the first time last week and we were disappointed. Decided to keep it simple on the first try and get takeout pizza. We figured that was a safe bet since Pizza is in their name! Unfortunately not so good. The people are nice and the place looks good inside. The pizza itself was not good, bland with a strange almost premade tasting crust. Ouch, sorry! I think we will give them a few weeks and try again, hopefully they've worked out the kinks in their pizza, There are lots of pizza places around as everyone knows so I hope they step up their game to compete with everyone else. This review is for their service alone and nothing else. I've tried three times to order from this place, and failed. Two separate Saturdays I've called to order, and the phone just rang and rang. Now this last time, I tried to order a large plain pizza, and have it delivered. Seems like a pretty standard order. The response I got was, "umm I don't think we can deliver just one pizza." No other explanations than "they were very busy" was given. Cool. So they deliver, but not really. They deliver, only if you're having a party. They deliver, only if you're feeding a family of ten. They deliver, but only if they're not busy. This place may be the bee's knees. Their pizza may rival Frank Pepe's. I wouldn't know. What I do know, is that there are close to ten other pizza joints within a short drive of this place that all make reasonably good pizza. I'd suggest trying one of them, where I'm sure ordering a pizza won't feel like a sisyphean task. read more

I asked for a delivery for two separate residences. They took both addresses we confirmed both addresses twice. Said not a problem. They only made one delivery not two. When my relative told me both were delivered there I was ok with that. Not a problem even though it was Pizza Mia's mistake. Called them an explained what happened. I said not to contact my family because there was a death in the family and I didn't want them to be bothered. They promised they wouldn't do that. The driver called my family because the restaurant wanted them to go get the pizza and deliver it to it's second location. When I called them after finding that out and they did the exact opposite of what I asked them to do. They blew it off and kept repeating everyone makes mistakes. I agreed but they were specifically told not to bother the greving family. I was told That's not a big deal. That's not an excuse. They then tried to tell me this was all my fault. Went in with low expectations (no reason) and was pleasantly surprised! Seafood pizza, primavera and broccoli rabe pizzas were all delicious. The dough was good, but not A+. I give the crust a B+. First, I called probably 20 + times. After waiting 2 hours I finally got my food and they gave me the wrong order. I tried to call back and I couldn't get through. So I tried back an hour later, only to be hung up on. Not only are their prices extremely high, but their cheese seems to be a cheap cheddar/mozz blend and no one in my house ate their crust. My family loves pizza crust and they didn't like it. Its very comparable to Papa Johns or Pizza Hut. Also I must say its the worst location. No parking, you have to walk up a hill to get into the restaurant and meanwhile, its January, its cold and icy out, and very dangerous when walking up a hill or steps. Went there knowing that the owner used to own Joey's pizza and have heard some good (and some bad) things about this place, but thought to try it out myself. First of all, keep in mind, they are not italian. So if you are used to a good italian sauce, do not think you will get it here. they serve a sweet sauce on their pizza and their "Authentic" pastas. Nothing what i thought i would be getting. Secondly, my family loves pizza crust.... well they didn't eat it this time. The dough tasted old and the cheese was not a real mozzarella. I read through all the comments and I just want to let people know what the experience is like today....they always answer the phone. I've never been put on hold, and when they tell me delivery will take 40 minutes, it's actually less than 30 minutes, so they are prompt. Their food is great. I live a mile from this place. It is un assuming and maybe a small hassle to get in and out, but well worth it. Pizzas are great with fresh ingredients. Cheesesteaks are huge. Burgers are so much better than fast food. I'm very happy Pizza Mia is in the neighborhood. read more
