We journeyed to Thorndale for steak sandwiches, which Joey's does exceptionally well, and it did not disappoint! They use a seeded roll, and they are perfect. The meat to roll ratio is spot on, and it's just a great sandwich!!! This time we also got a margherita pizza, and it was SPECTACULAR!!! This was by far the best pizza we've had in the region. We prefer a thin, crisp crust... and this pie was perfection!!! The restaurant is basic and no-frills - it's not a place you go for the decorations, and that's because the food is the star! We were looking for a new pizza place and we decided to try Joey's pizza, looked at pictures on yelp and pizza looked really good. Walked in very pleasant people. Very clean. They have small menu which is great (pizza and cheese steaks .Order a large pie half pepperoni and onion rings. While waiting I saw them making cheese steaks and boy do they look great! We got our pizza back home and pizza was just how I like it! Tasted great! Onion rings were good. You can also dine in. Will definitely be back. This will be my go to place. read more

The new roll is as good as advertised. I feel like they need to do more with the meat. It wasn't overly tender and it seemed under seasoned. I love the pizza here when it's not too well done. My better half is not crazy about the pizza so he ordered a hoagie and a third party ordered a cheesesteak. Well, the hoagies here are delicious. I just tried Joey's Pizza for the first time. Their Pizza is absolutely fantastic. Great recipe, sauce and finished to a perfect char on the crust right before there is some fresh grated cheese. The menu is small but also include hoagies, cheesesteaks, and salads. The place is light and modern, much nicer than your average pizza joint. Today we got a plain cheese pizza, a white pizza AND a beef ribeye cheesesteak with cooper sharp cheese and fried onions. All three were delicious. Joey's pizza doesn't seem like much from the Highway sitting in the lonely shopping center, but the food is so on point! They re-did their menu over the previous years and really upped their game. They have solid thin crust pizza, with a good red sauce. I am a New Yorker, so I am very particular with my pizza. The real star of the show for me though was the cheesesteak. Soft roll, tons of meat covered in delicious melted cheese - what more could you ask for!? My husband and I were really impressed and felt that Joey's rivals many of the big Philly names. I think they are definitely the best cheesesteak in Chester county and I'm always excited to order from here for my weekly cheat meal. Speer has renovated the place and it looks great. New seeded Liscio's roll, Levan Bros meat and cooper sharp cheese. I love a Liscio's roll but you have to be ready for this roll. It is their high end roll and has a thicker crust. Love Levan Bros meat. I got a cheesesteak with fried onions and mushrooms. I would have liked a touch more cheese. I love the upgrades but I would absolutely love to see a caramelized onion, sauteed mushroom and less oil on the cheesesteak. read more

I used Door Dash and good arrived within 22 minutes, amazing. Food was fresh and hot and looked terrific. So my wife has ordered from here but I didn't particularly enjoy the pepperoni pizza but mostly because I don't understand toppings. Italian hoagie: generous portion, plenty of meat, but I personally like it soaked in oil and vinegar in a sense. This was fairly dry, but easy fix at home. Most of it was ham which may just have been what was left by 8 pm. I prefer Primo or Jersey Mikes, even Wawa over this, would not recommend. Cheesesteak: with whiz, which I loved. Don't know why it's so darn hard to find. I don't think they have onions period. I asked for it because in the menu I saw it clearly say no onions. Regardless I added my own at home. And salt. Definitely needed salt, otherwise I would order it again. Onion rings: spot on, like Burger King, can't complain, not too greasy, good portion. Cheese pizza: in an attempt to find New York pizza outside of New York everywhere I go I'm usually disappointed. There are places west of King of Prussia that has better pizza but this is decent. I will order again if I'm getting other stuff. Biggest complaint is it's too thin. It says thin in the menu but I just assumed it's either thin, deep dish, and brick oven. Though the business name is Joey's Pizza, I implore you to try their cheesesteaks, as well as their pizza. The good here is good, possibly the best cheesesteak in Chester County. Who would have thought you could find such a good cheesesteak roughly forty or so miles (give or take) from Philadelphia. The staff is friendly and the good is good. He could pick up the entire pie by both sides and place it in the box. How's that for a bend test? Get the cheese pizza, do not load up your pizza with toppings. Simplicity is best when you have this level of quality ingredients. Also, do yourself a favor and eat a slice in the parking lot before you bounce. You'll thank me later. Joey's has become a mainstay in our family since we moved to the area. We had been unsuccessfully searching for a good local pizza option, and then tried Joey's which blew the competition away by leaps and bounds. Not only is their pizza excellent, but their cheesesteaks and burgers are as well. It's hard to choose between the beef cheesesteak and the buffalo chicken, but I will say I've never had such a moist chicken cheesesteak as Joey's. The owners are some of nicest guys you could meet, but I'll be damned if they don't make one of the meanest cheesesteaks. The meat is juicy, tender, well seasoned, and cooked to order; the roll is plush, fresh, and exhibits superior chew; and the cheese is gooey and oh so ample. The only thing this was missing is onions and that's only because I forgot to request them. I have no doubt they would have been equally delicious. Listen, I don't claim to be an expert in cheesesteaks, but as a native Philadelphian, I've eaten more than my fair share. That said, I think this is better than the likes of Delco's, Pat's, Geno's, Larry's, Cleaver's, or Dalessandro's. I wouldn't compare it to places like Mama's Pizzeria, Gilben's Bakery or Woodrow's Sandwich Shop because they are so different in style and unique in their cheese blend or bread. Truth be told, the only cheesesteaks I've had in recent memory which are both similar in style and higher in quality are John's Roast Pork and Angelo's. Which puts Joey's in some extremely rarified air. When you take into account that they also happen to serve what I consider the best pizza in the entire region (including Philadelphia), I'd submit that Joey's is one of the very best overall pizzerias in the entire Delaware Valley. OMG! Great cheese pie. The dough is flavorful and crisps up phenomenally. Sauce and cheese blend proportions and flavor profile create a perfect pie. Over a 30 minute drive for me so I'm calling it the 20# pie - will be back as a reward once I shed 20 pounds :-) I dream of this and the days I don't it pops up in my FB feed.
