    Jamaican Chicken Salad Wrap
    Jeff M.

This is a sandwich shop with a pretty extensive menu! This review mostly focuses on the food and service aspects. I saw several reviews that mentioned the Jamaican Chicken Salad wrap so I decided to give it a go. The verdict? It was quite good! I like more spice but I eat spicy food a lot so I have a high tolerance for it. That being said, sure that they could spice it up but I never asked because I wanted to try it the way they normally serve it first. I also read some previous reviews that mentioned the soups so I had to try one! I opted for the White Bean and Chicken soup and it was fabulous! In fact, it's one of the best soups I have ever tasted! It was perfectly heated too! Nicely done! Cheers!

    Butternut soup

Let's start with Terrance. He was funny and welcoming and the perfect host We arrived as they were closing, and he graciously invited us in. He made us feel welcome and helped us with our lunch choices The butternut soup was so good We got one tuna salad sandwich and one Ruben. One side was a fruit cup. This was homemade with papaya and pineapple, and it was terrific. When the sandwich came out, one was wrapped. He said he was not sure how hungry we were. Which turned out to be perfect. I ate the second half watching the sunset

    Double Decker Club

Had the Double Decker Club here with Ham, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and Mayo on multigrain bread that's toasted. Came with pasta salad. It's a good change up for the usual Morganton scene. You go into the counter, place an order, and it comes out in about 10 minutes. Nice spot in downtown Morganton

    Chicken salad croissant

Their hours are only 11 AM to 2 PM, but let me tell you, it's worth it! Homemade tomato, basil soup and we also had their traditional chicken salad croissant. The croissant was toasted and warm. Everything about the experience was delicious. Sometimes you have to wait a bit but I promise the weight is worth it.

We passed through Morganton, NC on our way back from a week in Blowing Rock. Looking for a place to stop and eat we found Limbertwig Cafe on Yelp. Wow, if I lived there I would be tempted to eat here everyday. First of all, the menu selection alone is amazing, and the actual food even better! The Chef/owner? Was so kind and personable. He even sent us over two complimentary bowls of soup to try. They were so delicious that we bought a quart of each one to take home with us. I ordered the Turkey Reuben, and my husband got the Classic Reuben. Both were cooked just right...delicious!! The restaurant itself is simple but perfect. As an artist I particularly enjoyed seeing the art on the walls. The Limbertwig is a clean, cozy place that you will leave with a full stomach and a big smile on your face.

Appalachia Wrap with Brie, turkey, spinach, tomato

The address listed is 120 N Sterling but they're actually located at 104 Union St, right around the corner. My boyfriend and I are in town staying at a little cabin, and decided to venture into town to have lunch and walk around, lucky for us we found Limbertwig! Limbertwig Cafe is a little local cafe specializing in sandwiches and wraps. They've got an extensive menu and everything seems to be made from scratch. They had two soups and a dessert menu as well. Each sandwich is served with your choice or fruit, chips or pasta salad. If you'd prefer, you can have half a sandwich with a cup of soup. Each sandwich & wrap is served in either a whole or half size. We had the gourmet chicken salad on a croissant- creamy chicken salad with mandarin oranges, pineapple and lettuce. The chicken salad was creamy and an nice, even consistency. The fruit was on top and the lettuce on bottom, and the croissant was toasted perfectly. We also tried the Appalachia wrap- melted Swiss and Brie with spinach, shaved turkey, tomato and usually a dill/horsey sauce that they had just run out of. I told them I like cranberry but that I would take whatever they thought was good, and they put cranberry relish on the sandwich and then gave me their sesame ginger sauce on the side. The sauce was so good!! Almost like a honey mustard with sesame, I ended up dipping the chips in it too. The tomato soup was creamy and smooth, seasoned perfectly. The best part of lunch though was the Jamaican Jerk chicken salad sandwich. It was served on the same buttery, toasted croissant with lettuce and avocado. The chicken salad was creamy and super flavorful, with a spiced mango chutney. It was probably the best chicken salad I've ever had in my life, and I am obsessed with chicken salad. It was so remarkable that we've already decide to stop by on our way out of town and have another one. The couple who own the place are sweet and helpful. They seemed to know everyone who walked through the door. Check them out!! You won't be disappointed!

    Side of pasta salad

We decided to try a new place and this place had good reviews. Walked in at 11:40. Greeted with a friendly greeting. Ordered at 11:50. Got our food at 12:35 only after going up to check on our food and asking for it to go because we had to leave. We only ordered a half of a Ruben sandwich with pasta salad on the side and a Hawaiian chicken wrap. I would bet the chicken salad was premade and the pasta salad premade. So should not have taken 45 mins to prepare our food. Food was fine. Nothing I need to go back for. Disappointed with the half sandwich. It was described as being bigger than Arby's. Not true. Restaurant was clean. Bathroom was decent. No paper towels in the bathroom though.

The fact that our wonderful waitress went out of her way to correct a mere one-dollar error--without waiting for it to be discovered later--speaks volumes about her character. Even though she seemed pleasantly busy (or perhaps she's simply one of those delightful overachievers who takes genuine pride in her work), she still chose to do the right thing with a smile. It made me chuckle in the best way and turned an already lovely meal into something truly memorable. The food was perfect, the service was warm and thoughtful, and the entire experience left me feeling genuinely appreciated. Thank you, dear waitress, for your refreshing honesty and kind heart. Waitress was nice, cheerful and attentive (thank goodness because after the hostess I was worried). Food came out quickly and was delicious. They hand pat the burgers we had which is a huge plus with me. Fries were good. That salad - spring salad I believe had the best tasting dressing....oh my lalalala!
