Prompt service response. Time to finish job poor. Part needed is never in stock. Have now waited eight (8) business days for part to arrive. I think part is on back order from Lennox. Only time I get an update is when I call them. Technicians are good, however office staff never follow up with me. read more

We called what we thought was an honest, local company. First they said they were 95% sure the coils on our 4-year-old a/c unit were broken. They then quoted us a $4,000 - $5,800 repair cost without ever having run a diagnostic on the unit. Then they tried to upsell us a new a/c unit and told us our insulation also needed to be done completely at a cost of $10,000. We also had to deal with one very rude service technician and a sales person who, when told we would think about things, became pushy and tried to insist that we let him sell us other options. We called in another HVAC specialist with very high ratings. The diagnostic was completed within an hour. No coil problems. No need for a new unit. We paid $350 and our unit is fixed. Limcan are scammers. Don't walk, run from this company. read more

My mother called these pirates for her annual furnace maintenance. 10 minutes in buddy advised us that our air exchanger was compromised, He quoted $2200 for the part plus labour. Wasn't sure if the part would even be available, no doubt setting me up for a new furnace. I told him to put it back the way it was as it was working perfectly fine. He then Red tagged it. I called an independent hvac guy he advised me against replacing exchanger as itvis very labour's intensive. Long story short don't let these people in your house. read more

Company is a cheat. They want to suck as much money as they can. First they tell their already customers they owe them free furnace inspection. Then their fraud old technecian comes and after looking here and there tells you O your furnace is finished, sorry I am going to shut it off and put red tag. Scaring you so you do whatever he wants you to do, pay for new furnace or pay them to fix something which you don't need to fix. Pathetic is the word for them. read more

Paid a technician to come and diagnose why our AC wasn't working. The technician performed all necessary tests and determined it could either be the control board or the blower motor. He said he had to get a special tool to make the final diagnosis to determine whether it in fact was the blower motor. After performing his test, he assured me that nothing was wrong with the blower and that it was definitely the control board. He ordered the board and we waited 6 days for the technician to come back to replace the board. The board was replaced and was told that it's definitely not the board but it's actually the blower motor. We have now been without AC for 10 days. If the first technician got the diagnosis correct the first time we wouldn't be roasting in our 30 degree house during this current Heat Warning. Will definitely call another service company after this fiasco. It shouldn't take days to get parts for routine problems such as blower motors and control boards. These items should be in stock at all times and technicians should he properly trained to do thorough diagnostic checks. Very disappointed with Limcan's service. read more

Ted Ooms ( service technician) arrived punctually, was very professional and found the problem with our air conditioner right away. He had the part needed for the repair in his truck and had our AC up in running very quickly. Ted performed diagnostic tests and all looks good. He was clean and has a great knowledge of his trade. Had furnace quit an called service for a tech to come out. Was there that evening and seemed to fix the problem. He suggested that I needed the high limit sensor for $356. This is a $20 part. I originally gave them a good review on their website. Heat went out again that evening. 2nd tech came over and had it running again and suggested an additional $1037 in parts and repairs. Heat went off again 10 min. after he left. Next day tech came back and diagnosed that it was the blower.. replacement was $3500. In the meantime the first tech had called and made an apt. with a "Service Advisor" who quoted me a price of $8400 +GST to replace the furnace. I got two other quotes to replace the furnace and the lowest one came in at $5200+GST for the same Lenox unit. Local HVAC company came over to give me quote and took a look at my furnace while he was here and had it going in 5 min. with a Philips screw driver.[no charge] The blower does not need to be replaced. I had been without heat for 2 1/2 days and the temp in the house was 58 degrees. In addition to the quote on the furnace I asked for price on a Heat Pump. Limcans quote came in about $2500 higher [out of pocket] after rebate than the two other quotes I got. Best advice is to get a second and third quote. This company sees every service call as an opportunity to recommend over priced repairs and/or a new over priced unit. I would have paid over $5000 more for a furnace and heat pump from Limcan. read more

If you want a good advice, never use that company. Had them coming aftern I receive a tag from Enbridge for leakages on Tankless Water heater and furnace. They cam check and could not find the leakages. I talked to Enbridge technician that told me that I do have leakages but if Limcam cleared the Tags it was my choice to fixx it or not. I had another company coming and they did find the leakages. O. Top of it. Limca tag me for the water heater vent that actually is at the right distance from the gas meter as certified from Enbridge. Talk about paying for NO SERVICE, did I mentioned they are more expensive than most? read more

They were courteous, clean and did a great job explaining what they did. Have dealt with this company for years with our previous furnace. Saw the add at Costco called them waited 20 minutes to talk to someone and was told the person I needed to talk to was busy and would call be back at 2. 4 pm no call so I called them again. 25 minutes on hold this time and then they disconnected me while waiting to talk to someone called again and waited another twenty minutes and then gave up. Would not give this company a dollar of my money. SHAME ON YOU COSTCO FOR PARTNERING WITH THIS COMPANY. read more

Enbridge shut our gas off at the end of May 2022 as we had a gas leak in the house. We called Limcan because they have 24hr services and Costco advertised them. We were told from the call centre it would be fixed the same day the first gentleman came out. He informed us he could only do a leak test and was not equipped to fix it. That cost us $158...to test for a leak that Enbridge had already discovered and tested for. This first guy told us the next guy would come and repair it under Level 1 ($324) OR Level 2 ($533) of the options for repair. but when we got the bill it was Level 1 + Level 2. I have been calling Limcan since June 3/22 to be compensated. Next step is the paper and the Better Business Bureau to complain. They are sneaky and deceiving. Trickery. read more

I will start by saying that I do recommend the service techs, and the techs that install the AC or Furnace units. They are knowledgeable and professional and do a wonderful job. I do not however recommend the sales team or management. We have been nothing but hassled and lied to by both sales and management! If you're thinking on a new unit from them, I would have to say definity rethink that decision. read more

Maybe I should write two reviews, but I'll do it in one since it was the same incident that leads me to my final decision. Lets start positive, then the negative then finish with the positive. I made the call because my Tankless blew a fit and wet up my basement, it was the end of the day on Saturday when I made the call, ask them to come out. They made an exception got someone out to the house to asses the situation. The phone call was pleasant, the guy they send out was pleasant. The erie feeling started with the guy who assess the tank, poor customer service, does not seem to know what he's doing and basically gets annoyed when asked questions. So he found the broken piece and told me it could be fixed, sure fix vs new, who wouldn't we went with fix, wrong part came, send for the right part, put it in tank wouldn't work, now it needs a motherboard, which cost more money, question will it work after a motherboard replacement - no guarantees, at this point I would be in the hole over $2500 without any guarantee of a working Tankless water heater. So I said in your assessment you should have given me all my options so that I could have made an inform decision, whether or not to waste time fixing something that cannot be fixed, he was really annoyed now. By This time I was already six days without hot water. So I told them I'm not paying for the repair, because given adequate info I wouldn't have made that choice. What happened next, well take took back the part from the broken unit and agree to replace the tank at the quoted price they gave me a few days b4, and waive the repair fee. The next day, the new unit showed up at 8 am impress, the installer had a trainee with him, but together they work flawlessly in installing my new unit, I stood by and watch them work - not to criticised but to see how they handle all the intricate detail, which they did not seem to mind and answer any question I had for them. They cleaned up after themselves which I'm a stifler for, and seal up the exhaust holes nicely. The installer took the time to test all his gas and water connections to make sure there is no leaks. The after call follow up was good, both from sales guy and customer service. I had few questions after, which they were able to get me an answer for which satisfied my curiosity. They will however loose 1 star for not having all departments on par. I called them because I'm a Costco member and I saw their booth all the time while checking out. I strongly believe Costco wouldn't hurt their customers or their bottom line by partnering with services, that causes more harm than good. I will write other reviews on maintenance-warranty and how the unit holds up over time. For now they are in my good graces, and I hope they stay that way. read more

I would give zero stars if I could! What a terrible company. Paid over a hundred dollars just to have someone look at the furnace. They took almost a day to tell me I needed a certain part replaced. And they said it wouldn't arrive for 6 days. I had no heat! Also kept telling me I needed to pay for a furnace cleaning or part would not be covered under warranty, which was a lie. Hired another company who got the part within 3 hours and installed same day for half the price these guys quoted. Stay away from this company - they are just awful. read more

Just spent $99 + tax to have these clowns come and quote me a price of $718 dollars + tax to install a bbq gas line from my existing supply about 20ft. Although I'm an idiot for agreeing to pay for the quote, this is the poorest company I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. read more

Our 20 year old A/C decided to give up the ghost this summer. We called for a repair tech and he was on site within 2 hours. After spending time and resources trying to repair the unit, the bad news was given... we would need a new compressor and the cost to repair a 20 year unit was questionable. A sales consultant visit was scheduled for later that day. The consultant spent about 2 hours explaining our various options after studying the house environment. Considering that our furnaces was also 20 years old, we elected to get one of the options which included a full package deal of A/C, furnace, humidifier, new thermostat and supporting equipment. Two days later two service techs were on the doorstep to install all the new equipment. They did a great job in installing and cleaning up the environment after the job was complete. read more
