This was my first time at Limestone Therapeutic Massage. The staff were very kind and welcoming, the energy was very positive and relaxing in the waiting area. I had an appointment with Sho and it was a wonderful session. Sho was very knowledgeable and we had a nice discussion about what my intention was for the massage session prior to starting. I loved her style! It felt like she not only hit surface muscle tension but had a great technique for helping deeper tissue tension release. As a dancer and therapist, my hips and shoulders are often in need of release and I really liked how attentive Sho was to those areas and gave a wonderful release through the shoulders while gently guiding my arm in a circular motion....it was very different from massages I have had in the past in the best kind of way. I really felt her energy and intention to make sure I had the best session. The massage supported the whole body connection head to toe and Sho does a great job highlighting that connection both verbally at times and just with how she transitions throughout the session. She was attentive, took time to check in to see how I was feeling and left time for questions. I left feeling very relaxed, grounded and connected to my body. It was a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to future sessions with Sho. read more

I was diagnosed with primary lymphedema nearly 2 years ago and needed help in doing manual lymph drainage since I've had surgery on both of my hands. Unlike most massage offices, Limestone Therapeutic Massage has a therapist, Michelle, who is trained in lymphatic drainage massage at the Spine Center Office in Newark. Michelle is empathetic to my areas of special discomfort and always asks me if there are areas she needs to concentrate on more than others. I appreciate her attention to my comfort level and I always feel great after my massage. I see Michelle every week for 90 minutes and I always feel better after my massage. I recommend Limestone Therapeutic Massage because their massage therapists really care. They have a wide variety of special training that can be helpful from athletic sports massage to medical issues like I have. Massage is great for stress relief, too! read more

My first experience at Limestone Therapeutic Massage was a great feeling , I have back problems ( scoliosis ) and the massage made me feel much better . Today i am a repeat client for the past 5 years , not only my back but also carpel tunnel in both of my hands , after the rejuventating massage my body and muscels were relaxed, definetly made me feel better, today i am free of carpel tunnel. Limestone Therapeutic Massage is located by the Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware in a nice professional building with plenty of parking. The lobby and massage rooms are neat, clean and well appointed, but the BEST part is the massage. I had a deep tissue massage with special focus on my calf muscles which I had injured years before. I could actually feel the knots disappear from Jennifer's skilled technique. As I was lying on the table I was thinking to myself "Man, this is great. I'm coming back next month!" My wife had an appointment at the same time with Camille and was just as thrilled. Gregg was in the lobby and was very nice also. Can't wait to do it again! I have been going here for years. They were smart, and offered some short, on-site massages at my place of work. And Frank looked out for me. I will never forget his advice, "Look, you take care of everyone and everything. Don't help me. Just relax." Once they no longer serviced my organization, I made an appointment with Frank in their original location. It's in a strip mall (that location is still there) and I wondered when I first went "How good can this be." Well, VERY GOOD. Over the years, they opened another location I now go there, and I still see Frank. He's very professional, open and friendly. I always get deep-tissue massage, which isn't for everyone. She LISTENS to what I tell her and implements it perfectly. She checks in on me during the massage to assess pressure to ensure the appropriate amount is being administered. My mother was in a car accident quite some time ago, and she was referred to Limestone Therapeutic Massage. After a short period of treatment, she was able to move with considerably less pain and her praise of the facility and therapists did not go unnoticed by our family (her praise is hard to earn!). I have been coming here for many years. Recently I had my second massage with Margo. I have been to Limestone Therapeutic Massage a few times before - always last minute appointments and they have always been great. Today was probably the best massage I have ever received. Rene was amazing - I was nervous because this was going to be my first massage done by a male. Rene was nothing but professional- I felt extremely comfortable and in complete control of my massage. He knew his stuff- he named every muscle, showed me where they connected and spoke on why the different areas may have been tighter than others. I appreciate that Limestone takes the health and safety of their staff and clients very seriously, which makes me feel comfortable about getting massages during the pandemic. The facility was always clean but they have taken extra precautions, such as temperature taking, sanitizer stations, health questions, plexiglas at the reception area, and reducing the number of people in the waiting room so clients need to call upon arrival. They are adding extra time between appointments for cleaning which means fewer available appointment times, but I appreciate that they are taking a "safety first" approach instead of money first & safety later. read more

There was 4 of us that went together to get a massage. One of the girls had been before and recommended that we all go together, because she had such a great experience. Amazing!!! All of us came out saying that we had the best therapist. For me especially, I have had many massages. However, I was having a lot of knee pain and my therapist left the room and got an ice pack to go on my knee!!! I have never had that happen before. I won't say the experience is without some pain, but it's a GOOD pain. He is very knowledable and has been a major factor in my ability to continue to run multiple marathons as a healthy runner. I had a great first experience with Limestone Therapeutic Massage. I booked a Pre-Natal massage and was scheduled with technician Janielle Lobban. She provided a full one hour massage in a comfortable, clean and professional setting. I have been working in Salon and Day Spas for over 10 years and I have to say this was the first time I've ever truly fallen asleep during a massage.
