Main dining area in on your left when you walk in. I got seated and looked at the menu. My nephew told me about this place and told me to get the dry pot, so checked the place out while visiting EL. I looked at the menu and for the dry pot, you need to select a min. of seven items from the menu. If doing dry pot, let the staff know, as there's a separate menu for it. I went with med. spice, added: squid x 2, rice noodles x 2, shrimp x 2, beef brisket x 2, pork belly x 2, baby bokchoy x 1, chinese cabbage x 1, egg plant x 1, dry tofu x 2, & enoki mushroom x 1 Yes, added a lot and it's because the menu was not helpful. Lot of the items are singular, couldn't tell if "Squid" meant 1 or 1 serving. If it was 1 serving, how many squids came in a serving? As I wasn't sure, some of them I ended up ordering two. IE: Shrimp, I got 2 orders, there were 9 or 10 shrimps... had I know 1 order was equal to 5 shrimps, I would have ordered just 1. I wish they would update their menu to reflect the topping items so the customers know how many comes in a order. My bill came out to $70, yeah, it can get expensive! It took some time to get the food... but because I ordered lot of items, the food that came out was good for 5 people :) It was good, loved the medium spice and definitely hit the spot. Oh and yes, had leftover and took it home. I thought I was going a good job of eating, but barely made dent in the plate. I brought the leftovers home and had two more meals out of it. If you are in EL area, definitely visit the place and if you go, go with friends to try other offerings. If you are solo diner and ordering dry pot, only order one item of each from the list and 7 items from the list will be plenty for one person. Three stars for now. read more

A very quiet restaurant -- which is excellent for having a conversation with the person you're dining with! The food is interesting and inexpensive compared to other nice Asian restaurants in the area and the menu is diverse. I get the chicken curry with bok choy and absolutely love the pickled radishes (I could get a take out order of just those!). This will continue to be one of my favorite places to go. read more

I'm surprised more people don't eat here - it could be the hidden location next to International Market and a laundromat. I do see a lot of takeout orders going out, but usually you can easily get a seat and the food is prepared quickly. Have tried maybe 10-12 different dishes and all of them are good in their own way. Some favorites include the Spicy fish filet soup (a large bowl you can share), shredded pork with dry bean curd, stir fry string bean (a classic), and then the string bean with ground pork - (green beans are diced into small pieces). You really can't go wrong, so it's a matter of finding your favorites. The servers are extremely helpful and almost always know the menu very well. You can get American-style dishes such as Beef Broccoli and General Tso, but I would recommend branching out - haven't been disappointed with any menu item yet! First time trying this darling restaurant (hidden gem) tucked away in a strip mall. The space is really cool and clean with unique light fixtures and comfortable spaces. A beautiful bar is front and center when you walk in. Love the sparkly top! The staff was very friendly and helpful with questions. It was surprisingly empty for a Friday night at dinner time but more people started to arrive after we were seated. Plenty of room. No waiting. Limit is a decent place for Chinese. We've been visiting here for years, even back when they were "Limit Pool and Karaoke". They've since reinvented themselves as a restaurant first, with karaoke on the side (and no more pool tables). Even in the brave new COVID world, their pricing is reasonable -- there are many other restaurants I cannot say the same for. Our favorite dishes are probably: * 辣子鸡 (spicy fried chicken) * 麻辣酱大骨 (spicy ribs) And their 麻辣香锅 / 麻辣烫 (spicy pot / spicy soup) are respectable.
