We recently moved to the area from the west coast and were super stoked to see a nearby Thai place. That quickly turned to disappointment. Our iced thai teas were pink (???), watery and bland. Our pad see ew was drowning in flavorless wet sauce and soggy vegetables and noodles, and oh my god the "sesame chicken"... it was also pink, not cooked with any sesame flavor with a few sesame seeds sprinkled on top. I have had a lot of Thai food over the years and this was hands down the worst. I know maybe I shouldn't expect much in Iowa, but I can't imagine how this place even stays in business with food this horrible. My wife couldn't even finish it. Normally I'd give a place a second chance just to see if it was a fluke, but this was so horrible I'm not willing to take the risk. What a disappointment. I have no idea how this place has 4+ stars. Did the owners change recently or something? How do you mess up Thai iced tea? read more

While traveling to Dubuque, I had lunch here and was so incredibly impressed. Nice atmosphere, friendly service, wide variety menu and terrific food! By far the best hot and sour soup I've had at any price. I had the Kung Paige fried rice and it was loaded with chicken and fresh veggies. Full of flavor. Highly recommend. read more

Great experience. The waiter was completely on the ball, and the food was excellent. I think what I liked the most is that the food was very fresh tasting, and they could tone down the spicy bite of the curry. I really like curry (Panang is my favorite), but I'm 'half the man I used to be' when it comes to my tolerance for spicy stuff, so having the option to get it 'wimp-style' is great. read more

I love the stir fry dishes, especially the ones with mushrooms and/or asparagus. The drinks are good and they are willing to accommodate 8 people at a nice big round table in the back. If this place was closer to my house, I'd go there very often. read more

A very pleasant surprise! I love Thai food and was really excited to see an option in this area when my boyfriend and I drove past last week. I had high hopes and they were definitely met! The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere and would be suitable for any group or ages. We had the crispy lettuce wraps as an appetizer and when it came out we were a little taken aback as it was a half a head of lettuce on one plate and the chicken mixture on another. Cutting up the lettuce and making the wraps seemed odd at first but totally didn't matter after we tasted it...they were awesome! If you don't mind a little food DIY then I highly recommend. For the main courses I ordered the spicy basil chicken (noodle dish) and my boyfriend ordered the Korean ribs. I have had spicy basil dish many many times at several different Thai restaurants and this definitely stood up to the competition. Not the best I've ever had but still very good and satisfying. My boyfriend really liked the ribs, and this was his first time trying Thai food. The prices were appropriate and the service was very friendly. We will be back! read more

By far, Lina's was the best lunch out I've had in awhile. The first thing to impress me was the room, the decor, and the ambience. It's just unexpected for a little strip mall, in my view. The lunch menu, all items being $7.95-9.95, is extensive, and categorized in four groups: stir-fry, noodle dishes, fried rice, and making/rolls. I ordered the Combo fried rice which had chicken shrimp, beef and pork. I just can't resist the Combo choices. My friend had a noodle dish with vegetables shrimp and fresh basil and cilantro. We imbibed on iced tea. Both dishes were ample portions, not shy with meat/seafood, and brimming with flavors. My fried rice had that requisite charred wok taste, which one only gets with fried rice. The service was very polite and gracious, and our meals were delivered timely. I only wish I lived (or worked) closer, because I could easily become a regular. About $14.00 per person with tax and tip. read more

Wonderful food, service, and people. I walked in at 9 and it was obvious that they were closing/closed. They saw me and insisted on cooking for me. I was a party of 1 and they went to this effort. One of the waiters also remembered that I had brought my mother to this place for supper one night a few weeks ago. He told me to say hi to her. This type of service is unique and appreciated. I sadly did not discover this place until right before I moved away from Dubuque. With this being one of my first thai food experiences I did not really know what to expect. All of the food that we got was amazing, delicious, and fresh. The tofu was prepared to perfection. Large menu and accommodating to customizations - everything we ordered was made correctly and was delicious. Only disappointment was no crab rangoon. If you are a fan of Thai, you must eat here. The Yellow Curry fried rice was exquisite. 3 heat level was just about right but 4/5 might have nailed it for just a bit more kick to the sinuses.
