Just got off the phone on a call with the Lincare Regional Billing office over Lincare rejecting claims for my breathing equipment. Was told by Mary that I needed to adjust my tone. I admit I was frustrated because I've been given the run around and threatened with collection efforts when I knew that I didn't owe a bill. I pay my bills and am respectful of others. I can't say enough about how helpful and and accommodating, Gerald and his co-oworkers in Florence, KY are! We needed larger O2 tanks, lines and a new Oxygenator machine to help my mother travel to a warmer climate to recover. Gerald and his people, got us the new larger tanks immediately, and at 6pm on a Friday evening, brought us a new enhanced high flow machine. Who does that?! Great costumer service and care! Simply the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Most companies dealing with senior citizens are so responsive and helpful - not Lin Care!!! This business seems a bit paranoid. We had a question about a walker that we purchased last week. The seat was not adjusted upon delivery. We wanted to be sure we had everything in the correct place. I called asking for a photo of proper placement the manager said they do not have photos on line, they can't take a photo because they do not have email. They asked us to bring in the walker but my sister is providing round the clock help for my mom. The company employees have been disrespectful, rude and possess no customer skills. Today I stopped in Lincare in Florence in response to a phone call taken by my wife concerning my Cpap. She was told that I may be out of compliance with Medicare and I should set up a 3 way call with Lincare and my insurance provider. I called my provider before visiting LIncare today and they did not receive an answer at the local office but the call was transferred to a call center. My provider assured me the they will continue to pay for my supplies. My stopping to the business was to gain formation about my Medicare compliance. I had been to my sleep specialist two times since obtaining my C pap machine. I asked for the letter from the insurance company about my compliance and was told they did not have one but had received a report and were unable to produce validation. I was told that my choices were to obtain a report of a Doctor visit or they would charge me for the total cost of the machine or they would take it away. I informed them that I had already visited my Dr.s two times since obtaining the machine. I had already scheduled another appointment on the 23 of January the same day I visited their office. I asked the employee to determine if they had a record of a November visit to my Dr. she left for a moment and another person came to me and showed me the compliance form I signed that stated I needed to visit my Dr. after 31 days of obtaining the machine. My first appointment was 30 days after receiving the machine. They insisted the time frame had to be 31 days not 30. Again I asked them if they have documentation about a November visit and they did not answer. At that point, the conversation became interesting and one of the ladies asked me if I was making a threat. I never raised my voice to anyone at all. She said she did not like my tone and the way I was talking to her. I told her for the THIRD TIME THAT I HAD TALKED TO MY PROVIDER and that all was in order. Then she told me to leave. Turned her back on me and I told her I had more questions, she ignored me and began to talk with another customer. These folks need training in customer relations. Also my insurance provider told me they had issues with Lincare in the past. I told them that I would be using social media to let people know about the lack of customer at which point she became very defensive and told me she did not care about what was said on social media. This place is AWFUL. I have been trying to get a mailing label from them (2 attempts, working on 3rd). NO ONE answers the phone. I dialed 3 times yesterday (12/3/18) and all you get is terrible jazz hold music. Total time on hold was 1-1/2 HOURS. Yes, HOURS!!! Called their main number; same thing. Called local store... Guess what? SAME! If they've caused themselves to go out of business, turn off the phone. read more

This is really a terrible group of people dealing with your health care. Our insurance, Aetna Medicare with State Teachers told me Lincare was a participating provider. In September 2017 I left several messages with Lincare's answering service for someone to call me for my husband to become a new patient and to make sure we could get the only mask my husband will use, the Nasal Aire II. Finally on 9-22-2017, Teresa from Lincare called and said yes, we can get the Nasal Aire II mask and Cpap supplies from them. She stated they need sleep studies, chart notes, demographics, all sent from the sleep care provider. She stated when they received this info, someone would contact me. The sleep care provider immediately sent all information requested by Lincare,. On 10-9-2017 when I still had not heard from Lincare, I called them, spoke with Steve, Lincare's Center Manager and he informed me they have not had a contract for several years for the Nasal Aire II for Cpap, just for oxygen. I was floored and when I questioned this, he stated he had been there for years and he knew what he was talking about. This was the end of our discussion. Neither of us mentioned authorization. ( I didn't even know it could be requested) I never asked him to place any order, he did not even know what supplies we needed at that time. He never said he would do anything. This was the end of my contact with Lincare. (or so I thought) All of my calls to Lincare, the sleep provider and all the work the sleep provider had to do was in vain because I was given the wrong information by Teresa. I proceeded to find another home care provider to service us and go thru all the steps again. On 10-23-2017, I was absolutely stunned when Tracy, therapist from Lincare called to state they had the Nasal Aire II mask in their office, that Steve had gotten authorization. She stated this as if I knew he was going to. I told her what Steve had told me she stated 'Do you want the mask or not?' I informed her we were not due to get another mask until the middle of November, asked if we could also get other Cpap supplies from them she said she could not guarantee that and asked rudely again 'Do you want the mask or not?' I told her the mask was not due yet, other supplies were but we couldn't go with a company that we could not continue to get supplies from. She was extremely rude and stated again 'Do you want the mask or not?' I tried to call Steve at Lincare to see if he had any further information on my getting supplies in the future, but he refused to speak with me even tho I asked repeatedly to speak with him. I could hear him in the background telling the receptionist what to say and that was 'Do you want the mask or not?' I am appalled that a large company as Lincare could employee an office of callous, unfeeling, rude employees as Florence Kentucky has. My husband and I are in our 70s and our medical issues are of paramount importance to us. read more
