I have no business or need to go there, except for one reason; my sister can only find a particular sensitive skin cleanser that she insists on for her children through them and because she does not want to pay shipping charges. So being the kind person that I am, once a year, I go to Hocks to pick up a years supply of this cleanser for her. She makes all the arrangements, I just do as I am told. I had no idea that they had opened up a new store. The new one has every possible apparatus, etc that you can imagine using for at-home use while recovering from surgery, etc. The clerk working could not find my order. I was annoyed to death. Apparently, no instructions were left for the staff, and whoever handled my sister's order was not available and could not be reached. I was told that the store and the website were separate entities though they were housed in the same building. The clerk had no idea where to find my order. Driving 30 minutes out of our way did not make me happy nor did it please my already irritated husband. An hour later, after already passing the Indiana border, the clerk calls to tell me that she located my order and did I want to come back and pick it up? Sure, how about sending it to me and waiving the shipping fees? No way in hell would I double back. Lucky for my sister she agreed.

I can't stress enough how difficult this was for my grandmother and the rest of my family. We had her move in with us but we were overwhelmed with all the things we'd need to buy/have on hand in order to care for her, not to mention learning how to physically care for her. To be honest we didn't know what we were doing but we just wanted to make her as comfortable as possible while she was with us. We went to med mart to buy some things and we were so fortunate to meet Abby. She was wonderful and helped us to decide on what to buy, including a bed. We had a regular twin bed for my grandma so we hadn't planned on buying a medical bed, but it honestly made a world of difference. Having my grandmother lay flat on her back all day and night was extremely uncomfortable for her, and the bed we bought solved all those problems. Being able to put the rails up was also a huge help because we didn't have to worry about her rolling out of bed. Overall I'm just so thankful we trusted what the sales woman suggested.

I have had continuous problems with their billing. They indicate they sent a bill and it was never…read morereceived. Most recently they sent an invoice that was three years old and said they were going to send it to collections. No contact in over 2 years and I never received an invoice. I had paid other bills after the date of service. The invoices were not accurate on the payments and caused a lot of confusion. The service was good except they were comparatively very expensive to other providers. The billing and the communication is not good.

Also, I had phoned the office to get a balance on my bill, was given an amount and it was paid. Then I get a statement a few months later showing a previous balance that was dated before I had made the phone call to the office to pay my outstanding balance. I get information in the mail that lists the equipment--cost/insurance pending and my portion of the fees. There are a lot of things on these forms that are blacked out. Hmmm....what is that all about. When I would call to order supplies, I would be told I couldn't order anything because I had an outstanding balance (that I was unaware of). I think the staff has very poor customer service skills and the communication is lacking as well. Of course, this is just my experience with Central Oxygen, but, I would not recommend them to any of my family or friends.

The brand was Golden a high quality scooter. Especially known for their comfort. We have a van fitted with a lift.
