Rarely do I say this, especially about contractors but I wish I could give MORE than 5 stars. He was willing to zoom me to see the project at hand since my schedule didn't align with his well. He gave me a quote within 10 minutes and scheduled me for a few days later. He was actually EARLY to my house, and friendly. UPDATE: After things seemed off to a good start, the execution of the quoted repairs did not meet our expectations! We primarily wanted a number of the doors in our new house adjusted so they would all close properly and not stick. While some have been fixed, others still don't close fully or still stick. The quote also included replacing two of the interior doors that has not been done. When approached about the unfinished work, we were told they would not be replacing any doors. As a result, we have asked for a quote from another contractor to finish the work we had requested. As such, I have to lower my rating. read more

I got in contact with Joe because I needed a new fence installed and not only did he give me a fair price, but Joe and his crew were able to come out about a week and a half after I had contacted him when every other fence company wanted to schedule me out a month to two months. I had asked Joe if he could put in a dog run for my wife and I since we have three dogs and he said it would be no problem. Our house in Michigan needed some time critical and potentially expensive repairs, and I was out of town. I called a bunch of contractors to get quotes. Many didn't return my calls, some did not appear very professional, some were unwilling to commit to a quote, and others quoted very high prices. Joe was an exception to the rule. He was super professional, went to the house to check on things, gave sensible suggestions, gave a very reasonable fixed priced quote in writing (using a professional online quoting system), showed up on time with the team a week later, finished everything on time including clean up, sent photos as proof of work, accepted payment only after the job was satisfactorily done, and accepted multiple modern ways of payment (credit card, bank transfer, Venmo, etc). I almost cannot believe someone so thorough and professional can be so reasonably priced. I highly recommend him. I know for a fact that I will be calling Joe the next time any work needs to be done for my house. Although I had removed and replaced two garbage disposals under my sink the past few years, I hurt my back and thought it best to have someone else do the job. I got in touch with Joe about a fence repair. I have a very old cedar fence, and part of it blew down in the recent wind storm. He gave me a quote over the phone, set up a date and time to meet, confirmed the day before, and showed up on time. He was pleasant and friendly, he worked quickly, he was respectful of my space, and he got the job done more quickly than he thought he would. Because it was a quick repair for him, he took $100 off the quoted price! He then took the time to talk with me about how much a new fence would cost and what materials could be used. My last question for him was about a gate that had come loose. I asked for an estimate, hoping to set up an appointment at a later date. Instead, he fixed the gate right there for no extra cost. Great service! We had a list of things we needed done around the house, and frankly we just aren't very handy. Its been surprisingly stressful to have a list of small repairs just grow around the house and we needed someone versatile who could problem solve some things. Joe came out and did an estimate for several small projects that needed to be done. He did a great job communicating what we needed, even suggested we handle one of the items ourselves if we felt up to it. In the end, Joe did some caulking in our tub, replaced several light fixtures (including picking new ones out), some patching to our ceiling where he removed some inset lighting, some rewiring for a switch, removed a stump in the yard, and drilled through our wall to install an outdoor electric outlet. We will definitely use Joe again for a small remodeling project we have down the road and highly recommend. read more

I contacted Joe to replace some crown molding in my living room. He was really great - he was very flexible schedule-wise, and he did an absolutely amazing job. Often people take short-cuts with crown molding and attach smaller sections so that it's easier for them. This maximizes the chance that the sections will get out of alignment, and it creates more seams. Joe was very careful to cut the sections so that they stretched the length of each wall, with as few seams as possible. When he was done, he vacuumed up absolutely everything, even reaching underneath the radiators to make sure all dust was taken care of. He worked carefully but quickly and even checked to see if noise he was about to make was going to disturb my work phone calls. I strongly recommend him. read more
