I was so disappointed by my experience at this salon that I had to leave a review. Just upon walking in, the fumes are almost unbearable because there is no air circulation. They told me to pick out a color and I could already tell by the brands they carry that this would not be a long- lasting gel manicure. Then, the manicurist put lotion on my hands as the first step in the process! By the time I noticed what was happening, it was already too late. My nails were chipping off a day later and completely off in a week. I am new to the area and I went here because they seemed to have the most flexible hours and they allow walk-ins. Linda's Nails on St. Michael's, is the best nail salon in Santa Fe. My wife and I have tried the Linda's nails on Cerrillos. Nothing to race about. We tried the Linda's nails on Zafarano. Terrible!!!! Rude, dirty, unprofessional. Linda's nails on St. Michael's is a gem. Always clean, friendly. I downloaded Google translate just to be able to tell the staff just how great they are. First of all my mother has been a long time customer. She is in her 90's and is comfortable going to the places she is familiar with. I sense that they do not like working with elderly people. Last time she went they said they were too busy, call for an appointment. Today, which happens to be a Sunday, I went in to make an appointment. They told me they were going to be short handed and they could make an appointment for next Saturday! No appointments for 6 days! The owner/manager would not even lift her head to answer me. They are often understaffed and take too many customers at one time. We have been there for hours getting a simple mani/pedi, no gel, no acrylics. No more Linda's. read more

In town for a girls weekend so naturally manis and pedis were on the agenda. While the price was right, you get what you pay for. The pedicures were much better than the manicure, to start. My main issue with the manicure is that the tech seemed completely distracted however somehow my manicure took longer than everyone else's. My nails were cut and filed so far down they looked like nubs and my polish didn't reach the edges even of the small nails. My companions had similar issues. Trying to review Lindas Nails off St.Michaels Dr!!! Where do I even start besides I should have read the reviews. DO NOT GO TO THIS LINDAS NAILS!!!!!!!!!!! We like Lindas off Zafarano and made the mistake of thinking this was related, let me just say I hope not! A manicure and gel pedicure that takes 25 minutes should not cost $60 especially if it looks like a five-year-old did it. We made an appointment for today to avoid being rushed yet my mother was still "tag teamed" To have her out of the chair in 30 minutes. When we brought up our dissatisfaction to the owner she said after we arrived it got busy and she needed the chair. She argued, threw attitude and got upset after we asked her to fix it. She had another lady half a** clean it up and proceeded to kick my mom out of that chair, moving her purse to the register while she was washing her hands to make room for someone else yet again. Horrible service and a horrible job. This was supposed to be relaxing and nice for my mom after her mother's passing not being her to tears. AGAIN DONT GO TO THIS LINDAS! I've been told that this is the original Linda's Nails in Santa Fe. I walked in on a Monday, late morning, was seated right away for my pedi, then had a mani. The man who saw me was very friendly, thoughtful, and professional. Nail color options were extensive, though did not appear the best quality. My feet still had some dry skin when I examined them later. The place was well ventilated, and the front door was open. A great value for just under $30 with tax. I will definitely return, although I will bring my own polish, as I did this time. read more

If I could give this salon zero stars I would. The service here is awful. My mother went in to get a manicure with gel French tips. After a couple days of wearing it, the white polish turned brown. She assumed that the polish was probably just old, so she went in to get it painted over with a darker color. When she went back, the man who did her nails told her the polish turned brown because she was dirty, and he would only cover the whole nail with a dark color. Another employee filled my mother's request. I have never heard of an employee being so rude to a customer. Worst pedicure in my 35 years! First, the lady allowed the footbath to overflow, soaking the floor, plugs for the massage chairs, and also my rolled up pants. Not even an acknowledgement of her mistake, let alone an apology. Then she used cuticle cutters to ply the gel polish off my toes, instead of the gentle and normal method which utilizes a file and acetone. The entire staff prefers the dusty and dirty dremmel power tool to work on dry skin-a given in the desert and when I passed, she looked at me with disgust. A regular polish pedicure lasted a whopping 17 minutes, including the water clean up, only to result in a spotty, sloppy, bubbled finish. Last, my pedicurist escorted me to the drying station with the curt command to pay now! After charging my card, she insisted I add an extra $5 to the bill because SHE REMOVED MY POLISH. In what universe does this even happen?!?! I've gotten pedicures for most of my life and NEVER been charged for polish removal, unless that was the only service requested!! I did, however, pay her ridiculous additional fee, and excluded a tip. One guess how that went over! read more

Have been to other nail salons in santa fe... this one tops them all. It doesn't have the fanciest decor and could even be called cluttered but I'm not taking away a star for that. It's clean, the chairs are nice,and the employees are friendly. I liked that our mani pedis were not rushed in the chairs like some places. We were moved to the nail tables giving our toes plenty of dry time. read more

The nail salon was cluttered and felt dirty. I get a mani-pedi on a regular basis to relax and feel good but I could not relax at Linda's. It was a slow afternoon, and the majority of the employees were lounging around on their cell phone or eating. One gal in particular had her stocking feet on an arm of one of the chairs and the other propped on one of the nail tables. The staff is friendly but the work is mediocre. First of all, she got polish ALL OVER. Then, I had to ask for another coat of polish because it was clearly patchy. When I asked for jewels she glued it on then I had to ask again for her to put a top coat in which every other nail tech I've been to does. When it came to the clear top coat she literally didn't cover the whole nail therefore even the clear polish was very patchy. They jump around so much I was waiting a long time. I came in Saturday January 16th 2021 at the Zafarano location to get my nails done. The result I loved it but the technician put too many coats on one of my fingers and the next day which is today, Sunday, I went to get it fixed and they proceeded to tell me to come back tomorrow which I then explained that I shouldn't have to come back the next day when it's only one nail that needed to be fixed. Both the male and female technicians in the shop were arguing with me about it with customers in the shop and I told them I would wait, they instantly got me in the fix the nail. The female technician did not take the polish off my one nail that needed to be fixed and just put another coat on the nail which made my left index finger darker than my other nails. When I asked for that to be fixed, she rushed fixing that nail, only put one coat on and did even put the top coat on my full nail. Such a terrible experience and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone again. I also would like to get my money back for such a terrible experience. read more

Horrible manicures for myself and 2 others. Rushed and sloppy. The worst of the three was done by the distracted manager who can't focus for longer than a minute. They act like they have a salon of customers waiting so as to rush a manicure to about 10 minutes start to finish. The polish is old and rough and not smooth for any of the manicures. My mother-in-law and i wanted to have a girls day. Go get our hair cut go get our nails done and go out to eat. We made a 4:00 appointment went in and was seated. The look of the shop is pretty poor. It was freezing cold and the place looks like its been open for a long time without any repairs. We sat in our chairs and had our feet soaking. Just as we were finnished with our soak and scrub she drained the water from our feet soakerz and water leaked from the pipes all over the cords that power our chairs. I told my mother in law to take her feet out of the water and told a worker there was water leaking. Tgey threw a few rags down and called it a day. Next we had our manicure they had a ton of polish to choose from but what they didnt tell us was that all of them are $60 to use. I had long nails i like them long and i figured it would be good for her to work with. She shaved them down and they were uneven and jaggid. She didnt even paint them rite. They came out sloppy and poor. When it came time to pay our bill togeather was over $120. When a mani-pedi is only $27 they explained the polish that is there is 30 for each set of feet and 30 for each set of hands because it lasts longer. That was the only polish they offered us. If we had known that we wouldnt have gotten it or even come here. We didnt have enough money for dinner so we just went home our nails look like crap and now were broke. I stopped in for a simple manicure with no polish. The station where I sat had a dirty towel on which I was supposed to place my hands. The nail file had been used many times before. At that point, I should have walked out. The nail tech dug so deep into one of my nails with a file that my finger started to bleed. I had to ask her to put some disinfectant on the nail. When I paid my bill, I got a dirty look because I did not leave a tip. I told her that she had hurt me, but I did not get even an apology. read more
