Dr. Narvaez was a true, literal lifesaver for my sister. Sister was in a rehab facility and was there 2-3 days. She had a video visit with Dr. Narvaez, who, heard her symptoms, & when the nursing staff failed to answer sis's call button, told her to call 911. Thank goodness!!! 3 days in ICU and now, much improved... Expect her to have a recovery, albeit, extended now, BUT, this weekend I'm soooo grateful she pulled thru!!! Linda has some impressive reviews on Healthgrades, so I was looking forward to meeting her and switching to her as a PCP. She answered a lot of my questions, and if she did not know about a hormone question I had, I was graciously referred to a specialist. I really liked her honesty, patience, personality, and sense of humor made me feel really comfortable for my first visit. I'm glad I made the switch to Linda for PCP, because my previous doctor assumed I was young and healthy, and would fast track our annual visits, but I would also rely on the data rather than a simple number (my age) to justify my health. I will say some of these comments on Yelp talk about the front desk, but my experience was more of the check out desk, who seemed unnecessarily grumpy that morning. There was a prescription that wasn't send to a pharmacy, and I tried to ask the front desk about it, but she snapped at me and said to ask the pharmacy (with attitude). Next time I could do better and stand on my ground more firmly, but as this review is for Linda Narvaez and not for the front desk/ check out person, I am personally rating Linda as 5 stars. read more

I have never had such a bad experience with a provider's office in my life. The doctor herself seemed nice, but I was never called back with the results of my tests and when I called in for them two weeks later I was given very vague notes. I was told that I would need to schedule another visit if I wanted to get any clarification on what the provider was suggesting as a result of my labs. I also received a declination from my insurance for one of the tests ordered. I called the provider's office for support since it was being deemed as not medically necessary. They indicated it was not their problem and that I again would need to schedule an appointment for any assistance. I was weary about this office in the first place. The waiting room was much dirtier than I would have expected, but I gave it a chance because of all the good reviews online on yelp and on the carrier website. I just can't imagine how they maintain such great reviews given the experience. read more

Her office and staff are incredibly warm and inviting, offering a safe place for all of your health care needs. Prior to having PPO insurance I had HMO with Kaiser. That insurance was great and I would get taken care of, but I literally never saw the same doctor twice. Every time I would go in for a doctors visit they would start a new chart and it would be a new doctor telling me I have a different problem. After doing my research I found Dr. Narvaez and I couldn't be happier. She is a great Dr. and very respectful. When you go in to meet with her you feel zero pressure because your comfort level is in a good place. As long as they take my insurance I will be coming here. Dr. Linda was great and very friendly but she forgot to run one the test for me which she promised. I did enjoy my session with her but I wished she didn't forget. Also, her staffs were not very nice. They seemed to carry attitudes and everyone seemed to be stressed out or unhappy working there. Customer service was not good and when the doctor promised me a hormone level test along with my checkup, there wasn't one and I was told I have to go back to draw my blood one more time and get tested. There was no apology but the "we screw up and you suck it up" kind of attidute. Poor administration and customer service. With so many doctors on the westside to choose from, I will choose someone else for my annual next year. DR. NARVAEZ listens!! I love a doctor who will listen to me and not just assume they know my body better than I do myself. Dr. Narvaez is a good listener especially when I've done all my research on my condition. Instead of a follow-up after follow-up she gave me two prescriptions - one to use first and after two weeks if it didn't take then try the next one. most doctors will try to capitalize on my really good PPO insurance with some nonsense mumbo jumbo and have me come in over and over again so they can get the office visit payment. Trust me, I've been there! Dr. Narvaez is not like that, she's to the point, and gives great referrals. She was my back up/second chair doctor. Now that my first chair doctor has closed their offices in Culver City that bumps Dr. Narvaez up to first chair and my Orthodox Jewish doctor in Santa Monica (who was my third chair) into second place. I need a new doctor in the third chair. I do this just in case my first chair doctor has no immediate appointments and my second chair doctor is in surgery or on holiday. I went to see Dr. Narvaez on 02/07/2022. The front staff wasn't very friendly or kind; no idea why. I was already having anxiety going to the doctor's from horrible past experiences with US doctors. The first 10 minutes with the doctor in the room were OK; she came off very dry and rough from the moment she walked in (no idea why since we had never met before!). She gradually began to warm up and be more gracious towards me after realizing how nervous and uncomfortable I was being there. Overall, by the time I left, it felt like an OK experience. Before leaving and very cleaning in my appointment with the doctor, I had requested a required letter I needed for work regarding my current health status; if a patient gives permission to a doctor then they can provide such info to your employer FYI. After going back and forth via email with her staff (again not friendly or helpful), one of her employees called me out of nowhere, I told her immediately I was in the middle of work and couldn't speak; nevertheless the doctor got on the phone and began literally speaking to me as if I was a child. It was the rudest, coldest and most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a doctor. It ended with Dr. Narvaez hanging up on me after saying "whatever". It was the most surreal experience ever and I wish it upon no one. I even asked her while on the call why she was speaking to me with that tone of voice because I was in such shock from the experience. Now of course I don't know this doctor personally and don't wish her unwell in any means since who knows what is going on in her personal life (I imagine something for her to be this way!?!) however unfortunately and wholeheartedly, I do not recommend anyone going in to see her AT ALL. read more

This office is the absolute worst! They don't care about you at all! I went in after my family has seen her for years with a rash that was inexplicable. She came in to see me with a full on hazmat suit and told me just to go to the hospital emergency room. She seemed freaked out and told me that I might die from sepsis and I should get to the hospital asap! She never called me to follow up to see how I was doing or what the outcome was! She told my daughter with hypothyroidism to have lots of iodine which is the absolute opposite of what you should do! I honestly hate doctors, hospitals, etc. It's just NOT my ideal place to be. I only see Dr. Narvaez for the yearly stuff and because she's a woman and she is someone who can relate. She's calm and takes the time to talk to you (genuinely TALK to you). If you're looking for a great doctor, she's the one. ALTHOUGH, I can't say the same for the nurse who checks your vital signs (she gets 1.5 stars). I would LOVE to say that Dr. Navaraez is such a great doctor by far. I have been to her office once and she treated me well. However, prior to making the appointment for my first visit the employees there were awful with their customer service skills ( a lot of attitude). I did not yelp at that time because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Today 8/23/17 I have an appt. at 11:30 a.m. BUT I was never called to confirm or simply remind me as we all have a busy schedule and lives. The only way I confirmed my appt. was by calling today to ask about it. One woman stated that she had called me and left me a voice mail yesterday which I never received. The office number on my phone is saved with the doctors name and I DO NOT have a missed call from them. Due to my job I am unable to leave for this appointment, therefore, I am being charged a $25 fee for cancelling this appointment I am missing. Better confirmation structure and employees with better attitude would benefit this office. read more

The 2 stars is ONLY for Dr. Narvaez, who is every bit as amazing as everyone says she is. She is a 5-star doctor in my opinion. I love her and wish I could continue to see her but oh my gosh the STAFF!!! I've never been spoken to so rudely by anyone who works at a medical office, and I'm still in shock 30 minutes later. I was cut off while speaking, never given the chance to explain myself, instead given the exact same sentence in a condescending tone over and over. Next I was told I should go to urgent care for my immediate need for blood pressure RX refill since I couldn't make it to the office in the 2 open slots available and then, she hung up on me! That doesn't help a patient with high blood pressure. So off to urgent care I go first thing in the morning and never again am I calling this office back. Dr. Narvaez, I will miss being your patient. You have an amazing way with patients and a beautiful spirit. I have had nothing but good experiences at your office. I've been going to Dr. Linda Narvaez for about 15 years! She is absolutely the best. Not only is she adorable and sweet, she is extremely intelligent and knowledgeable. She knows when something is off and when to refer to some great specialists. I have some fairly unusual medical issues that had it not been for Dr. Narvaez's extreme diligence and thoroughness would have continued to do undetected for a long time. 3.5 stars. Dr Narvaez is very nice, and there is rarely much of a wait to see her when you do have an appointment. She's the best PCP I've found in Los Angeles. But... However, I am not entirely happy with her practice. It can be hard to get an appointment. She does not call with lab results as promised, so you must follow up. I have been charged for multiple lab tests through her office that were unnecessary or should have been coded as preventative care. Her office staff is not at all friendly or helpful over the phone regarding prescriptions and test results. Overall there's a feeling like you are out of sight, out of mind once you walk out the door. Dr. Narvaez is a great doctor. She is kind and seems like she cares a lot about her patients. I cannot say the same, however, for her staff. The regular front desk woman is very nice and helpful when I check in. The rest of her staff seems like they don't care about you, what is wrong with you, your day, your life, the things you might need to do, etc. So basically I wait for ages in the waiting room, wait for ages in the exam room, and generally wait for ages whenever I need to talk to someone. Today was the first time that someone actually helped me, but seeing that I've been a patient of hers for over 2 years, it doesn't say much. I found Linda on Yelp! because I had great general practitioners growing up, so when I moved to LA it was super important. Linda is one of the best I have had, so friendly and genuinely cares. She makes all exams go by quickly, and cracks jokes during them, which I like! Sometimes doctors are so stiff and not personable, not Dr. Narvaez! Her staff are also very nice, I was nervous about having my blood drawn and they were happy to try and make me feel at ease the best they could. I also like that they remember me! After moving away from my family's doctor (who was a pediatrician anyway), I picked Dr. Narvaez solely on location and insurance coverage, but I lucked out because she's great. She's usually more over-cautious about anything I come in with because she's had a lot of experience with very sick patients and wants to be sure, so I usually end up with either a referral to a specialist and instructions to get an x-ray or blood work. I started going to Dr. Narvaez last year, based on a friend's high recommendations. Dr. Narvaez is a good listener, and takes my concerns seriously. She is clear about what she thinks is the likely cause of symptoms, but also explains possible other causes and favors testing to rule out more serious conditions. This gives me much better peace of mind than other doctors I've seen who seemed rushed and dismissive of concerns. On top of that, Dr. Narvaez has a very pleasant demeanor and a good sense of humor, so she removes a little tension in what could be very stressful situations. I am so disappointed and upset right now. This doctor has just refused to see me after being a patient for years. I was upset and crying one day on the phone because I was so sick and the girl on the phone refused to ask Dr Narvaez if she would call in a prescription. All I did was ask her to ask. She said no and that I'd need an appointment. I ended up treating myself. I later made a point to visit their office in person to apologize face to face for getting upset. They said it was ok. I called today and was informed that Dr. Narvaez will no longer be seeing me "because of my attitude", what?? I then said that I'd need a copy of my chart and was informed that there would be a charge for the copies. I don't think they should be able to charge me when they are refusing to see me and forcing me to find another doctor. If they do this, I will have no choice to report them to the medical board. A sick patient gets upset and cries ONE time, takes the time to drive over and personally apologize and this is the treatment they get? This is very unfair and unprofessional. Btw, the girl that refused to ask the doctor and started this whole thing was so rude to me that day and that is why I got upset. She's like a robot and had no care for the patient calling. I'm very sad and disappointed about this entire situation :( Update to my above review: 4/25/18 If you read Dr. Narvaez's replies to the few reviews she selectively bothered to answer you will see a specific tone in her replies. Very defensive and actually a bit rude. I guess she doesn't have the time to reply to my review since I posted it long ago. I'd like to also warn that if you have anything other than basic needs from a doctor then do not see Dr. Narvaez. She continually wanted to just tell me I was depressed and prescribed me antidepressants. I didn't need them, I needed a medical diagnosis, not a phychological one.
