New Puerto Rican restaurant in Geneva. I only ordered a couple things from their appetizer menu but both things were good. The bacalaitos were a fish/dough fry and was outstanding. As a business they still have a few wrinkles to iron out but I'm sure they will get better with time. They have a lot of fruit themed dishes on their menu. I look forward to combining my here again and trying more of their menu. Just so you know, they don't have their liquor license yet.

I live right on top of a 'Mexican' restaurant and every time I go there it's due to sheer…read moredesperation for lack of good Mexican food in CNY. Every time I lament the fact I spent money to eat there... I had read that this was a good one on the 'Where Syracuse Eats' Facebook page, which can be a pit of snakes at times. I decided to bookmark it, as a 'just in case' I was ever passing through Waterloo. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical when my mom and I walked in around 5:30-5:45 p.m. and not a soul was in the place. Apparently, people in Waterloo eat dinner around 6 p.m. so the place was popping as we were eating and then leaving. My mom is a vegetarian so we shared the vegetarian combo D plate. I ate the tostaguac and she had the enchilada, and we shared the rice. I normally find the rice at Mexican restaurants to be underwhelming, even at my favorite spot in Detroit. This was delicious and I ate it! (There may have been some debate on who should get the last few bites of rice!) I also ordered a side of their hot salsa. I think this was $2 but it was so good and so worth it. The regular salsa was fine but not spicy at all. Service was fast once we decided what to order. No pictures because I was too excited by an actual Mexican place within a reasonable distance from me! Skip the places in Syracuse and come to La Fiesta Brava!

We waited for over 20 minutes before we left. To their defense, they were totally overwhelmed. should've been their biggest moneymaker of the year Cinco de Mayo and they failed miserably. I'll never go back there. Was never really impressed with their food anyways this is no shape or form of authentic Mexican food. The ambience has much to be desired as well. It was a filthy dump.

It was very nice; we were able to have a decent conversation with dinner and that made for a wonderful experience. The service was prompt but unobtrusive. Portions are sized well but not huge. I did see some people taking home some white boxes. We shared our starter, entrée and dessert and finished it all. We started with Smoked Trout Dip served with house made potato chips. The ratio of chips to dip looked off but it was perfect. Personally, I thought the dip was under seasoned and light on the trout. The Chef came to our table to discuss his cuisine and we both left with our own opinions intact. The Featured - Friday Fish was the best Bouillabaisse I have tasted in years. It was the Friday Special and it was indeed special. The Bourbon Apple Crisp was to die for. If I had known, it was so good we would have ordered two portions instead of splitting one. The parking lot on the property is very small, but street parking is available.

The new space feels like a nice refresh, but they've kept what people love about it. The Ranchero sauce is a standout--really flavorful and easily my favorite thing on the menu. I also appreciate that the food consistently comes out quickly, even when it's busy. The staff has always been friendly in my experience, and servers Dina and Maya are great. I also really enjoyed the bartenders working this past Tuesday. Overall, it's become a reliable go-to spot in town for a quick, satisfying meal, and I'm glad to see it continuing to improve in the new location.

Rice and beans were dry as well!!! The chips and salsa were not good as well as the salsa was just chopped tomatoes and onions with very lil to no flavor!!!! We brought our 7 pound Pomeranian and were told that it was a health violation to have her in a chair, so I kept her on my lap while sitting outside... Needless to say...I have NO idea why there are good reviews for this place as we thought it was horrible!!! I'd prefer Taco Bell vs $89 bill at Viva!!!
