It is always good no matter what time of day. I had the queso birria tacos and loved them.

I will get to the point and try to save you a little time. If you are traveling west on Route 66…read moreand looking for Mexican food, don't eat here. After finishing your meal, you will say, as I did, "I have had much better." Oklahoma has some damn good small town Mexican restaurants; this is not one of them. In Vinta there are two other Mexican restaurants. Check the reviews and see what you think. If you don't mind driving a few more miles, stop in Chelsea. If you are headed south on 69, the first good Mexican restaurant is in Chouteau. There, that is all you need to know. If you are bored, here is the rest of the review. My wife cashed in her chips early. She pushed the chips and salsa away and said, "I don't care for the salsa at all." It is just tomato sauce, too much garlic and a little cilantro. The Picante was the same only it had a little bite from chili pepper. I ordered a relleno and tamale, the #43 Combo. My wife had some kind of a burrito. Neither plate of food was bad. The tamale had chili on it which was good. The relleno was average. The burrito my wife had was filled with Chopped steak, beans and guacamole, rolled in a large flour tortilla, all covered with yellow queso. What was really good about this burrito was the portion of steak in relation to the other fillings. There was a good serving of steak in it. No rice filler and the beans were not overloaded either. Both plates came with rice and beans. The restaurant is very large, with a well-worn interior and typical Oklahoma small town Mexican restaurant grungy restrooms. The service was adequate. And then there is the credit card fee! Overall, a 3-star rating which means; OK, but I won't be back and wouldn't recommend it to a friend.

As a native of Central California I was so skeptical of any Mexican restaurant out of my state, and…read moreI was prepared to criticize, but I was so impressed with the quality and freshness of everything we ordered! I ordered Camerónes a la Diabla and the sauce had a darker color than expected, with an excellent spice level and an additional smokiness. I assume it was made in-house, but now it has me questioning every other time I've ordered this dish back home; have I ever tasted a house-made salsa in other restaurants before, or is this the first time?? My partner ordered chicken mole enchiladas and just like the diabla salsa, the mole was complex and balanced-- a good sign that extra time and effort went into them! There were other areas where Mexican restaurants sometimes cut corners, such as not using fresh lime in a margarita, but this place put in the effort to do it right! I hope this place continues to expand, because the unique branded and carved furniture must have cost a fortune, but it was a lovely way to distinguish this restaurant without looking kitschy and filling a building with junk. There seems to be a LOT of space as well-- probably a great place to have a party! I'm so glad this place is here in Cushing, and I'll definitely come back when I can.

It is basically enchiladas with your selected meat covered in molé instead of enchilada sauce. It was so so good! They were busy busy but we still got excellent service. By the way the dish comes with rice but there was no problem substituting refried beans.
