I had an appointment on 8/7/26 to have my air conditioner serviced because it was blowing out hot air. Per my receipt it stated that it was recharged and they had added Freon which cost me $338.39. It worked for one day, and started blowing out hot air the following day. I took it back to Lindsay Buick this morning and told Daniel, the service advisor what happened and he basically dismissed me saying that I was charged for diagnostic because I need a A/C condenser. I go to check my payoff amount from time to time through the myGMC app - the moment I do, I get blasted / bombarded with your scripted CRM spam emails, your scripted CRM text messages, your scripted voice messages from Morgan of their BDC department. Morgan, if you actually paid attention to the notes you supposedly put onto my account the previous time you did this, none of this would be happening. The first time she did it, I understand but politely asked her to please stop; it happened a second time and wanted to blame it on "system errors" and that she would be sure to put notes into the system not to contact me anymore. Well, guess what everyone, I checked my pay off last night at 7:03pm EST last night, and within 2-4 minutes later, the text messages, emails, and phone calls started YET again for the 3rd time. I've been more than polite asking not to be bothered and you still can't seem to comprehend so here's this public message, STOP CALLING ME Morgan (I truly hope this public request of mine will finally break through your incompetence). Each time this continues on your behalf, you're merely leaving footprints and a paper trail to better this case. Riddle me this, why would I want to continue to do business with a company when their BDC department can't respect a person's (previous customer's) simple request? This speaks volume and goes to show you truly don't care about your customers. I've now asked twice prior to this most recent encounter, and yet you still bother me! When a person checks their payoff and you immediately contact them, is that not borderline stalking? When a customer asks twice not to be bothered anymore and they go to check their payoff and you contact me again for the 3rd time; does that not constitute as harassment? Complaint about Deceptive Sales Practices at Lindsay Buick GMC Today, I found myself in an AWFUL situation that strongly resembles fraud and deceptive business practices. On March 28, 2025, I called Lindsay Buick GMC to discuss purchasing a Buick Envista (VIN: KL47LBEP5SB103388). They confirmed the price and sent me an offer. I informed them that my wife was busy today, but I could come in and leave a deposit, and we would return together tomorrow. Michelle told me that they don't accept deposits, and we agreed that I would come in to purchase the car at 11:00 AM that same day. On March 29, 2025, at 8:11 AM, I received a text message from the dealer confirming the appointment, and I replied that I would be there to pick up the car, possibly even earlier. I arrived at 9:30 AM, filled out the test-drive form for the vehicle with VIN KL47LBEP5SB103388, and Michelle took me to the car. After the test drive, we started processing the paperwork. However, when Michelle presented the documents for signing, I noticed that the price had been changed from $24,785 to $26,625. I asked to see the car again, and I discovered that the vehicle had been swapped for another one (VIN KL47LBEPOSB131020) without any notification. When I asked what was going on, Michelle went silent and then said that my car had been sold earlier that morning. I immediately doubted this, as I had received a confirmation text from them at 8:11 AM, and I arrived at 9:30 AM. Later, the sales manager admitted that they had sold the car the day before. From that moment, the situation took on the form of outright fraud. They lied to me and intentionally misled me to get me and my family to come in. They provided paperwork for a test drive on a car that had already been sold and falsely claimed it was still available. When I asked how they could have sold my car, the sales manager replied, "It's our car, and it's your fault you didn't leave a deposit." This contradicted Michelle's statement the day before, where she assured me that a deposit was not necessary despite my repeated offers to provide one. I asked them to honor the original price for the car, but they refused, stating that money was more important to them than their reputation. Selling the car to another customer the day before, then contacting me to deceive me into coming in, presenting paperwork for a car that had already been sold, and trying to get me to sign new documents with an increased price -- this is fraud under federal and Ohio state laws. This is a tactic aimed at exploiting trusting customers who believe car dealerships, but know this: DECEPTION OCCURS AT EVERY STEP in this dealership. I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), the Ohio Attorney General's office, and the Governor of Ohio, providing all evidence for an investigation. I will take screenshots of my review, and if you try to remove it, I will repost it along with those screenshots. I urge senior management to investigate this horrifying situation and take appropriate action. Legal Aspects: * Fraud: Under Section 18 U.S.C. § 1341 (Federal Mail Fraud Statute), fraud is a federal offense when fraudulent schemes use postal or telecommunications services. Additionally, the Ohio Penal Code (Ohio, Section 2913.01) criminalizes theft, fraud, and other deceptive practices. * Deceptive Practices: Under Ohio's Consumer Sales Practices Act (Ohio, Section 1345.02), businesses are prohibited from engaging in deceptive or unfair practices when conducting transactions with consumers. The dealership's actions may violate these provisions if they deliberately misled me about the availability or price of the car. * Breach of Contract: If a contract was made with specific terms, such as an agreed-upon price for the car, and the dealership altered those terms without proper notification or consent, it may be a breach of contract under Ohio state laws. read more

I had to put in two complaints to the GM Manufacturer because the body shop couldn't or wouldn't figure out what parts to order. It wasn't a question of money because my auto insurer paid them. It wasn't a matter of the deductible because I was asked not to pay until they could get the parts. I waited more than 2 months calling every couple of weeks to get a status. When I called the parts department on the 2nd month I talked to a nice person who said, we never ordered any parts for your car. I am fortunate to have another vehicle but would have be out money for a rental car for three months if I didn't have another car. At this point, he says 'oh, I see the order now. We will track the parts package and it looks like they will arrive Sept 6th. Well, guess what no parts arrived. I called again. This time I get to speak with a rude person in the parts department who said they didn't have time to deal with my problems. I asked to speak with the GM. I was told no. I called back and he said why are you calling back. He then hung up on me. Finally, only after a call from the GM manufacturer to Lindsay, I get a call that the parts miraculously arrived. I Uber to the Dealership only to find out they didn't have the parts. Unbelievable!! Do not buy cars at this dealership and most importantly do not go to their service or body part shop. read more

If I could give them a zero I would like many others have mentioned. I knew when I took the car in that it needed a thermostat. I looked on the internet for the reasonable cost to replace this part and the results were between $400 to $600. Lindsay's price was over $1900. read more

Bought a Yukon Denali last month and the service was nothing short of perfect from start to finish. Went to several other GMC dealerships in and around Columbus and nothing even compared to the experience I had a Lindsay. Would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a vehicle. read more

Service dept. is a joke. Poor communication. I decided not to have them fix the car. I brought it in because after 30 minutes or so it developed a miss. When I picked it up it was running very rough and there were two warning lights on that were not on when I brought it in. Half of the the time when you call the service dept. phone number you get the sales dept. Then when sales transfers you to service you get voice mail. If they tell you they'll call you at a certain time, expect to wait an hour or more after that time. It's an absolute clown show. read more

I had been shopping for a new vehicle for about 2 weeks before visiting Lindsay Buick GMC, so I had talked to my fair share of salespeople by that point. Mark Rosen was very down to earth, and didn't push me into anything. The one thing I really liked is he provided me with the Carfax report when I first got there, which no one else had done. Even with the buying process, it was all pretty smooth. The only reason I didn't give five stars is it took a little long to get into the finance manager. Being a 3x GMC leasee, I figured when my lease-end was approaching the sales team would do their due diligence, and make a good effort to keep me as a repeat customer. Weak, low-effort attempt at the Sandoval dealership. After sending ridiculously high-priced quotes my way for a new lease, (several months before my lease ended), I decided to wait to contact them about a month before it was to end to see what kind of deal we could work out. My usual sales contact (Glen) was on leave. They couldn't meet my numbers (after multiple attempts to speak to someone about getting to a reasonable number, no one wanted to move outside the box..plus the guys at this place are extremely lazy - don't ask them to get up out of their chairs and interrupt their conversation) - so OK.. I'll just find a deal elsewhere. The biggest problem came after I turned it in & the ridiculous charges. I called in to sales to complain and the first thing they do is hit you with the "3rd party" that's responsible for the post-turn-in inspection and the fees I was charged...and not them. In case anyone wants a small lesson on how monster businesses get over on the little guys, check out how frequently these 3rd parties can almost always manage to look the other way when you're renewing your lease, but when you turn it in - poof! - there's a problem. They'll tell you stories about how they do this so there aren't conflicts, but it's a washover story that sounds great when thinking about compliance, but in the end, just doesn't match up. Won't be back, Sandoval... & Will be sure to explain why to anyone looking to buy. read more

Called for Service Appt 5 times...put on hold, sometimes with a very rude and impolite " hold please" and no one ever picked up. Initial reception was very very quick and professional but from there "all downhill ". Very surprised as Sandavol is usually on top of their Service efforts. I guess I'll need to call another day...when Service answering personnel want to work! read more

What a disappointing experience. Two months after I purchased the car, the ABS light came on and my car started clicking. I found out the brakes were installed improperly and it ended up costing me $1200 to fix. I was told multiple times that Lindsay Buick GMC had a "42 point inspection" but it was clearly ineffective because they missed this. Perhaps it was the 43rd point. That or they installed them improperly themselves. Regardless, this was their fault. And when I called, I spoke with Patrick Ryan and he was anything but helpful. I do not recommend working with him or Jack Cain, the person who sold me the car. Two thumbs down. read more

Had an appointment & was greeted by Kelly as soon as I walked in. She was amazing. Asked me what type of car I wanted and didn't try to pressure me into getting something more expensive. She even worked with me to get my monthly payment down along with my interest rate. One thing that always is terrible about going to the dealership is the fact that you can spend 5-6 hours there. Not a Lindsay Buick I was in & out in the vehicle I wanted within 2.5 hours. I took it to another shop instead of going back for another round and I got a long list of issues, including zip ties used to secure a fog light, misaligned parts, and missing brackets. Initially I brought my car to Sandoval after a wreck that destroyed my front bumper. When I drove it off the lot, the turn signals and headlights weren't working. I brought it back so they could fix their mistake, and the lights worked again, but there was a rattling sound in the car remaining that concerned me, and not soon after my bumper started sagging again. When I took it to a new shop, I got the list of details of what they did wrong which is still developing. Truly sounds like a hack job. I am warning people to avoid them. read more

This is my 2nd experience with the service department. My first experience several months ago was fine. However, this experience is disappointing, at the very least. My 1 star rating is due to this: 1000$ plus repair that took 2 days, and upon picking up the car the same issue occurred after driving only 3 miles. I called the service department and was told to bring it in mid-morning. I heard nothing and did a check in call that afternoon (4 hours later). I was told that they were waiting for the engine to cool down and hadn't looked at it yet. The next day, I called again and was told one of the parts used in the repair had failed and they would replace it. It should be ready the following day by 12pm. 1:00 the following afternoon, I had heard nothing, so I called to see if the car was completed. I was told it was apart and would take time to put back together...the engine was still apart and being Saturday, it should be ready Monday. It is now Monday and they failed to call and are now closed. The lack of communication is frustrating. Being without a car with no apparent urgency on the part of the service department is a very negative experience. I spent a lot of money and entrusted them to repair my vehicle correctly and in a timely manner. So far, it has been 6 days total and no working car. I am fair and understanding, but a phone call or or offer of a rental car would have gone a long way to prevent this review. read more

Unfortunately the worst car buying experience I have ever had. Not only were the salespeople unprofessional, but they also lied to us many times throughout the entire experience. It saddens me to know many first time car buyers might easily buy into this. Scheduled an appointment had my pre approval with me and knew what car I wanted if after test driving it was good. The salesman I scheduled with was too busy to deal with me but did come over to give me a 10 minute talk about how they will only do the finance with my pre approval but the finance lady ran a credit check with another finance company. I specifically told them to not run my credit with anyone but my pre approval. Don't trust the finance manager. read more

My family and I entered the dealership "just looking." Derrick was friendly, professional and (without hesitation) incredibly knowledgeable about all of the new vehicles we asked about. We looked at a few vehicles and then went down the road to a Chevy dealer a block away. There was no pressure, even when we left to check out another dealership. We promptly returned to this dealership. First impressions are everything, and we were impressed by Derrick and the dealership overall. The owner even introduced himself and was genuinely pleasant. Needless to say, we left with a new Buick Encore and a happy son. We have purchased/leased over 10 new vehicles and I can say this was one of the most pleasant and hassle free transactions ever. I was just starting to put out feelers on our next car lease last week (current lease isn't up for 4 months!) and this weekend my husband and I ended up going home with our new 2016 Enclave! This is thanks to the incredible team at Sandoval Buick GMC. It started with emails and phone calls from Robin, incredible deal making with GM Mark and ended up with Derrick taking excellent care of us yesterday as we went about test driving and finally leasing our new car. I felt like we were in excellent hands the entire time and never felt rushed, pushed or prodded in any way. The only reason this review gets 2 stars is because Ashley in the service department was very helpful. She greeted me as soon as I got there, kept me abreast of all that was going on with my vehicle from the beginning when I got there until the end, called me to let me know each step as the team worked on my vehicle, and was very polite. However, I was brought home via shuttle service when I dropped my vehicle off. The older Caucasian gentleman was not very sociable not saying hello, how are you, nothing except "where do you wanna go?". When I explained to him that my address was not registered he made the assumption that I lived in the projects by saying "Well, I know most of the areas of town but I don't know the projects". Not one time did I mention living in a project area and actually had not yet mentioned which area I lived in before he cut me off and made that comment. I actually stated that my home was a newly built home and that the address was not yet showing up on GPS. He ignored what I said and assumed, most likely because I am African American, that I lived in the projects then made that statement. I had to explain to him that I do not live in the projects then led him to my housing development. I was very displeased, shaken, disturbed, angry, and offended! I immediately called Buick when I got into my home and talked to the Service Manager who continued to apologize and stated that he would have a conversation with the driver and his counterparts to address the situation as they do not tolerate that type of behavior, that is not what they are about, etc... I was told that 1. My service would be looked at in order to compensate me somehow that way and 2. That I would receive a call later to discuss the handling of the situation with the driver. I have not received a call from this Service Manager or anyone else to date and that was 5 days ago. I also did not receive any discount on my bill which was actually the least of my worries. I believe that the apologies were to "deal" with me for the moment and that nothing was handled within their office. I am very disappointed and continue to be VERY offended. read more

I came in on July 8, 2020 to test drive a car. I took it into a mechanic as part of my test drive because I was literally ready to purchase it if everything checked out, but the mechanic tells me that the left rear caliper is locked up and the brakes are burnt. He warns me to take it straight back to the dealership because it is not safe. Sure enough, I take it straight back and there is LITERALLY SMOKE POURING OUT FROM BEHIND THE TIRE. I tell the salesman, give him a copy of the form from the mechanic to prove what is wrong with it, and they straight up tell me they are not willing to fix the issue and they will continue to allow people to test drive the car. The brakes are burnt and were pouring out smoke after a 3 minute drive back to the dealership. If I had decided to test drive it before taking it to a mechanic, the brakes could have given out while I was on the highway. They are willing to take that risk with my life and the lives of anyone that test drives it after me because they just can not be bothered to make sure their cars are safe to drive. read more

Worst experience ever. I had an accident and brought the car there to the bodyshop. I bring the car and after a few days they say is done. Pick up the car go home and i notice they havent change all the broken parts. Call them and they say ohh sorry bring it in again let us order the parts and it passes almoust a week and my ac wasnt working either so I call and is funny as I called the parts just arrived so I bring the car back and after a week they say your car is ready to go we just need some stuff from insurance bla bla bla. It passes another week nobody calls or anything so I decide to call whats happening with my car is it ready and they are ohh yes yuo can come pick it up so they sent the shuttle, I go there and sure enough the ac doesnt work so another lost day for me. And then I tell them since you picked me up from home now please send me back and then the shuttle is not there anymore... Such a hussle. I would never recommend anybody to go there.
