They truly care about all their clients. The staff is always nice and welcoming. There are several different vets that work there, but if it's not urgent we like to see Dr. Hare. Rami and Cocoa do not like vet visits and become very anxious, but they have been able to warm up to Dr. Hare because he will get down to their level in the exam room and is very calm. We have trusted Amici with not only routine services, but they handled Cocoa's spay and recently Rami had to have a dental procedure. The took great care, took the appropriate labs, monitored them, and gave us many updates. They aren't the cheapest priced vet, but the quality of care and service greatly makes up for it. My dog Petrie (Pug, 8 years old) was suddenly vomiting blood and also had it in his stool. I was panicked, because in the 8 years I've had him, I've never seen him sick like that. I rushed him to an emergency vet even though B street is his primary care vet. The emergency vet had us wait for two hours just to hand us a pamphlet of where else we should go (in all fairness I'm sure there was more emergent medical issues going on there that they had to tend to first, and I was going to be on a long list of waits) but B street was at capacity that day and after I told them the issue they squeezed us in. They even gave us a private waiting room where the air conditioning worked better to wait in because my pug is a brachycephalic breed which usually do not do well in hot environments. During the first visit Dr. Olsen was very helpful and comforting to Petrie. She went over all the issues she thought it could be, all while petting my dog and making us feel comfortable. After labs/tests came back she explained everything in detail and very thoroughly about probiotics/antibiotics. Unfortunately I had to bring him back a few days later because his itching got worse (I'd assume unrelated to the first visit, he's just always had allergies) but he had a scratched so much overnight he had a horrible hotspot the next day. They told me I could come in the next day without hesitation and no appointment. The Doctor that saw him that day was Dr. Elena. She was just as professional and compassionate. She gave me tips and tricks on how to treat the itching better, and put him on a few more antibiotics after they shaved and cleaned the hotspot. I received two follow up emails reiterating treatment and what we spoke about in person. Not automated, real person to person emails. I really appreciated that. Petrie is doing much better thanks to these amazing women! Of course along side their brilliant team of techs and receptionists. The whole operation is so dialed in and kind!! Can't sing their praises enough.

The staff themselves were very friendly -- upbeat, bubbly, and kind -- which definitely helps the experience. I was referred here by the rescue, so I came in for two vaccines. Even though the wait was long, everything went smoothly, and I got a call a few hours later to pick up my pup. While this is not a review on the vet that is currently practicing at this office it's a review of…read moreultimately how things were handled and initial treatment of my dog. I took my dog here 11 years ago now for spay surgery. While recovery went well and no complications at the time occured I discovered 10 years later after she had an additional abdominal surgery for a tumor on her liver by another vet that surgical gauze had been left from a previous surgery- the only previous surgery she's ever had was her spay. Because of the left foreign matter in her abdomen her body -luckily- encapsuled the gauze which then adheared to multiple organs. To the extent that when we removed it during her recent liver tumor surgery a portion of her intestions and pancreas needed to be removed as well and everything sent for biopsy. While I'm thankful this is the "worst" that happened because of this negligence- the alternative was her going into sepsis and dying. So I guess pick your poison? When I contacted the office to report - essentially malpractice- initially I was left to feel ignored. My information was taken and I was told the owner of the practice (same owner as when the initial surgery was completed) would phone me back. After a couple follow up calls the office manager (not vet owner as requested) called me back to get my info and story. I eventually was put in contact with the owner Dr Dio. He listened and apologized and then informed me that vet was no longer there. But not why. Nor would he provide their license number so I could report this to the vet board. Ultimately after explaining the situation and asking for reimbursement of the additional 1600$ spent on the additional surgery and biopsy because the mass was unknown. He offered me free vet treatment at his office. (Y'all almost killed my dog? Why would I go back there for treatment??) When I expressed that wasn't satisfactory he then offered a refund for the initial surgery...$300. I again expressed this isn't what I good enough for the problem that occured. He left the phone call that he would discuss with his office manager and get back to me- surprise surprise- they never contacted me again. Once again- this is not a review on the current Dr pearson- I've worked with her at other vet offices in the past and she's wonderful. But this is reflection on how the owner Dr Dio handles situations that occur with vets under his practice.

I've heard about some Veterinarians who tend to pad their bills with extra services and items, but until this visit I hadn't really experienced it. We brought our older (and basically healthy) dog in today because she was sick on Thursday (vomiting food & water). She felt better on Friday and today, but we brought her in anyway to get checked out. Cue the huge bill! The original estimate on the high side was $1300, and we had them lower that estimate by a few $100 by removing a couple of services including xrays. Then after she'd been there for a few hours, they indicated that she needed more tests to the tune of nearly $1000. We had them do most of them, but not all. As I'm writing this on Sunday, Cali is feeling much better, she's now on a low-fat diet, and the tests that they did all turned out negative. (We're still waiting on the results of the urinalysis.) Thank goodness, but jeez... They also negatively impacted my bank account. I'm glad my dog is feeling better, and she's worth any cost honestly, but I sincerely feel that some of things they did were not necessary, and didn't need to be done this time, or could have been pushed forward and a determination about their necessity could've been made after we made some changes and monitored her. It is what it is at this point, but I just suggest that you pay close attention to the estimates and bills at this Vet Hospital, and knowing your pet, make the right decisions for them, whatever they may be. Until now, we hadn't had any major issues. Today, we had an appointment specifically for the rabies and parvo vaccines. After we got home, our dog vomited five times in a row. We called the clinic, and they had us come back in, where he was given two more injections to address the side effects. While on the way back, I reviewed the invoice and noticed that four vaccines had been administered, not just the two we had scheduled. When I asked why this wasn't communicated, the response was, "Next time, clarify which vaccines you want when you check in." I had already done that. The appointment was booked for two specific vaccines, and I clearly mentioned both at check-in. I was then told they automatically give all due vaccines unless otherwise instructed. If that's their policy, it was never clearly explained to me and I plan to review our past vaccination records to verify the vaccines were actually due. To top it off, we were charged $82 for the extra shots to counter the side effects caused by their lack of communication, bringing the total cost of today's visit to over $300. This visit left us feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. Lack of transparency, poor communication, and a refusal to take ownership of mistakes cost them our trust and our continued business.

I initially brought my cat to this office for allergy-related issues, including constant itching and frequent hairballs from over-grooming. While the appointment itself was acceptable, the exam did not feel thorough for a first visit. The doctor spent more time discussing his experience than asking detailed questions or performing a comprehensive examination of my cat. Despite this, I followed his recommendation to start a steroid course, hopeful it would help her symptoms. Unfortunately, obtaining the prescription was extremely frustrating. I had to call the office daily for an entire week just to receive the medication. Each time I called, I felt like I was inconveniencing the staff, even though the delay was entirely on their end. I was repeatedly reassured that the pharmacy would contact me within a couple of days, which never happened. At one point, I was told the staff member who handles prescriptions was out of the office and that the prescription had not been submitted at all. Later, the office claimed the delay was the pharmacy's fault and they would follow up with them. However, when the pharmacy finally contacted me after that call, they confirmed the prescription had only been placed the day before which contradicted what the office told me. After finally receiving the medication over a week after the visit, my cat struggled with the liquid formulation. I again called the office daily for another week seeking guidance or an alternative option with no response. Eventually, the veterinarian called and assured me the office would look into a different formulation and call me back with a solution. I never received a follow-up, a solution, or any further communication. At that point, I sought care elsewhere, where my cat received prompt and attentive treatment. What upset me most was not just the delays, but the lack of follow-through and communication. It felt as though my concerns and my cat's well-being were not a priority. read more

my hand was forced when it came time to finding a new vet (my prior one is in Oregon and then decided she was going to move her practice to Idaho, so def won't be making special trips for her). She was incredible and I was sad to say goodbye. After searching, I came across Lindsey Vet Care and all the positive reviews. My pup needed a check up, teeth eval and vaccination update so off we went. The good: - Dr. Lindsey is a peach. What a sweet, knowledgeable vet. He answered my questions and was a pleasure to speak with . - The techs. My dog was very nervous since this was her first time there (new smells, new people, being prodded, etc.). They were patient and very kind with her. - The care she got was great, as far as I could tell. They gave her complimentary "laughing gas" to calm her during her blood draw and a pheromone plug in for our home to help with her anxiety. She's neurotic; what can I say? Sweet as pie but a nut job for sure. The not-so-good: - Their front desk gal is a bit...icy. She eventually warmed up by the time I was checking out, but upon arrival, she offered no smiles, no welcomes, etc. My emails when scheduling were equally as aloof. There was another girl there with her that was much friendlier. - Pricing. This is probably because my former vet was in a more rural area, but I wasn't expecting to walk out of there spending almost $300 for a check up, simple vaccine and blood draw. I'm actually not sure why there was a blood draw, but I should have asked more questions, so that's on me. Talking about a small tooth removal was $500 when I was used to paying $200. You get the gist. Probably pricier if I was closer to downtown or in that general area, so I imagine these prices are fair and inline with San Diego costs. Overall, I was pleased with the level of care that my dog received, which when all is said and done, is really all I can ask for. Happy to have found this place. read more

Drive carefully because people tend to speed through it. And there's alwayssssss construction on the side streets so it's a little tricky to get in and out of it. The front has some seating areas and a bunch of different products (mostly food for dogs and cats) you can buy. The front desk is there and usually have 1 maybe 2 people coming in and out, checking folders, greeting people or checking people out. I usually spend about 10 maybe 15 minutes waiting after my appointment time started to be seen. I come for flee meds and/or a quick check up for my dog. The vets and workers are super chill and always seem to remember my dog which is nice. They are gentle and usually ask me for support to keep my dog, who's super scared of everyone, calm as they give shots / do their check ups. The vet rooms are pretty boring. One chair. Nothing on the walls. A computer and a desk for the vets. 4 stars for how quick and easy it is and for the friendliness of the staff. But honestly the last few comments before me atconcerning and I'll be rethinking if this is a place I want to go to in the future

This place isn't our primary Vet, but we have heard a lot of good reviews about this place getting their dogs cleaned with no issues. They do open a little bit later than other Vet so I was able to take her after work on the weekday. I'm writing this review after at least two weeks the surgery, just in case my dog had any issue, but she haven't had any issue and her recovery was very minimal. We had the initial consultation with the vet, and Dr. Diamond was very knowledgeable. After the conversation with him, I was confident that my dog was going to be in a great care. I do have to say the place itself is pretty outdated compared to all their Vet we go to, but as long as they were able to do the job, I didn't really care. There are plenty of parking spaces and there are plenty of grass area where I can actually walk my dog before the appointment. They were able to get us in fairly quickly for teeth cleaning, and I want to say the price of this was significantly lower than any other vet that I have taken my dog for teeth cleaning. This place is very busy because the two times that I was there we had to wait a quite a bit. I would have to say that is the only downside but the price, the Dr , and the people that works there were all very polite and knowledgeable. I would come back here.

The thought of having my 4-year-old, 10.6 pound fur-baby undergo surgery to repair a luxating patella was a bit nerve-wracking for me. I did A LOT of research to find a veterinary surgeon who I could feel confident was the right choice. My search focused on credentials, experience, expertise, outcomes, and the entire patient and family experience. My findings kept leading me back to Dr. Farrell and his team at AOSSD/Blue Sky. I read all of the Yelp reviews --approximately 20 at that time and all but one was 5-star -- and I read enough of the 180-plus Google reviews at that time -- all 180-plus were five stars -- that I felt confident in bringing Izzy to Dr. Farrell at least for a consultation. Dr. Farrell and his team are everything I was hoping to find and more. They are genuinely passionate about helping their furry patients live their best lives, strive for great outcomes, communicate clearly and transparently throughout the process, care about creating a positive experience for their patients and patients' families, they are kind and they have heart. I was blown away by how they handled a life-or-death situation that was unfolding with a different patient during our consultation. When it became critical for the other patient to immediately go to a different nearby facility for a specialized service not provided at AOSSD, Dr. Farrell sent two staff members to go with the patient and their family to facilitate the patient's admission. OMG. Who does that??? That was when I knew with 100% certainty that Izzy would be in the right hands. My confidence was well-placed. Izzy's surgery was successful, and he's well on the way to a full recovery. Thank you Dr. Farrell, Tina, Tori, Chris and the rest of the AOSSD team! You are the best!

In most cases, these puppies don't survive, but not this one! With Dr. Hani's care, Mattie is now 7 months old! The staff is great, very competent. They are kind and gentle with all pets. My only request would be that, as other clinics do, if your pet is due for a checkup or vaccine, that they give you a call. But that's it. Everything else is great. Support a local vet!

We've been bringing our dogs to this vet for almost four years. Both were neutered here and…read moreregularly visit two to three times a year for vaccines and tests. Until now, we hadn't had any major issues. Today, we had an appointment specifically for the rabies and parvo vaccines. After we got home, our dog vomited five times in a row. We called the clinic, and they had us come back in, where he was given two more injections to address the side effects. While on the way back, I reviewed the invoice and noticed that four vaccines had been administered, not just the two we had scheduled. When I asked why this wasn't communicated, the response was, "Next time, clarify which vaccines you want when you check in." I had already done that. The appointment was booked for two specific vaccines, and I clearly mentioned both at check-in. I was then told they automatically give all due vaccines unless otherwise instructed. If that's their policy, it was never clearly explained to me and I plan to review our past vaccination records to verify the vaccines were actually due. To top it off, we were charged $82 for the extra shots to counter the side effects caused by their lack of communication, bringing the total cost of today's visit to over $300. This visit left us feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. Lack of transparency, poor communication, and a refusal to take ownership of mistakes cost them our trust and our continued business.

This Veterinary Hospital is within walking distance from home, and they have been helpful with my…read morepup's routine care over the last several years. I've heard about some Veterinarians who tend to pad their bills with extra services and items, but until this visit I hadn't really experienced it. We brought our older (and basically healthy) dog in today because she was sick on Thursday (vomiting food & water). She felt better on Friday and today, but we brought her in anyway to get checked out. Cue the huge bill! The original estimate on the high side was $1300, and we had them lower that estimate by a few $100 by removing a couple of services including xrays. Then after she'd been there for a few hours, they indicated that she needed more tests to the tune of nearly $1000. We had them do most of them, but not all. As I'm writing this on Sunday, Cali is feeling much better, she's now on a low-fat diet, and the tests that they did all turned out negative. (We're still waiting on the results of the urinalysis.) Thank goodness, but jeez... They also negatively impacted my bank account. I'm glad my dog is feeling better, and she's worth any cost honestly, but I sincerely feel that some of things they did were not necessary, and didn't need to be done this time, or could have been pushed forward and a determination about their necessity could've been made after we made some changes and monitored her. It is what it is at this point, but I just suggest that you pay close attention to the estimates and bills at this Vet Hospital, and knowing your pet, make the right decisions for them, whatever they may be.
