I visited your barbershop yesterday morning and requested a simple haircut: trim the sides and blend/fade it into the top. This is a basic service expected from any professional barbershop. Unfortunately, the person who attended to me did not blend the cut at all. When I pointed it out and asked for it to be corrected, he told me that I should "go to a barber" because he couldn't do it -- which was both unprofessional and confusing, considering I was already at a barbershop. A few hours later, I called to see if someone could fix the cut, and I was told to come back on Tuesday -- several days later -- which was not a reasonable solution given the poor quality of service I had just received. I ultimately had to go to another salon to have the haircut corrected. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I will not be returning. I hope you take this feedback seriously and ensure your staff are properly trained to deliver the basic services your shop advertises. read more

Don't go here if you're a woman. This man doesn't know how to cut a woman's hair. I asked for a healthy trim, he was originally going to do half an inch and I said he could do a little more if it needed. He ended up cutting almost 3 inches off my hair. He doesn't ask the standard questions like "which side do you part your hair on", or "how do you normally style your hair?" As women we know these are all important when it comes to a proper cut. Any who... I came in with long hair face framing and he cut the face framing too thick and short and now the style looks extremely dated and disjointed. He didn't understand why I was upset. I knew he's not the person that would be able to fix this mess, so I just shut up and left. Mind you when he was about to blow dry my hair I had to ask him to add in a heat protectant. The package I purchased included a deep conditioner and I never received that in my service. I will not return and I hope other women think twice before coming here. In response to what the owner said. I'm insecure and change my mind??? I don't think so. I asked for a trim to clean up the dead ends and you butchered my hair. The front looks like a mullet or like a 5 year old took a scissors and cut the bits in front. This is extremely disjointed, not even the same length on both sides and anyone that understands face framing would never cut hair straight across like this. I didn't ask for layers, I asked for it to blend with the rest of my hair, but it was clear that concept was foreign to you which is why I left. Terrific little salon. Jose Abdo is a gifted stylist. He works with efficiency and a good eye for the correct style for the client. I liked everything about my salon visit. The studio is understated and calm. This was a gem of a find and Jose Abdo was such a pleasure to work with. He is a fine stylist who makes sure of what kind of cut you want before he begins styling. The product has changed which is not Omar's fault but when I called him three days later asking him to touch up two pieces of my hair close to my ears as that did not work at all- he refused immediately and continued to repeat no retouches. I've sent many customers to him and will make sure to let them know the rude attitude in response to my very fair request seeing as it did not work in certain places. She told me it's for a hair cut only and if I want blowout to find it on Groupon she doesn't have just a blowout on Groupon. Omar is absolutely fantastic!! I am so stoked to have finally found my new local hairdresser! Hooray!!! So I found him by buying a Groupon for $60, which included "highlights, deep conditioning and style" - I live in West Hollywood so that price seemed way too good to be true and in the end, it was, but not by much!! When I got there he told me that the Groupon price only covered partial highlights (even though it said "Highlights" and I thought I would get a full), but he said that full highlights would be only be an extra $40 (which is actually not that much more for a full given how incredibly thick my hair is) and then I told him I wanted to add a cut as well, which he said would also be an extra $40 (and I requested a very complicated labor-intensive style cut too!) So I ended up paying a total of $140 (before tip) for the complete works!! And I am sooooo satisfied with everything- the color looks super light blonde and totally natural at the same time which is freaking awesome!!! And the cut is beyond cool!! When I went into the salon my hair was all one length and it went all the way down to my boobs. I had always kept this same boring ass style since I was a teen, but after developing dreads during the pandemic (due to lack of maintenance), on top of getting dumped by the love of my life who I was with for over a decade, I decided to go for a haircut that was totally crazy and unlike anything I'd ever gotten before!! (I know, I know, soooo played out and pathetic) so I told him I wanted a shoulder length bob, but with texture and layers and even a bit of an A line, plus side swept bangs! I told him how terrified I was that it would look like a boring old lady bob from the 50s. Lol! I definitely did NOT want anything like that!! My desired look was so tricky and unique that I literally couldn't even find a pic of some random celebrity in google images who had the look I was going for - so I was really REALLY putting a shit ton of trust into this stranger's hands!! Like for real!!! But despite this being my first time going to him AND requesting a super tricky style cut, it ended up turning out crazy cool unique and fun!!! And it definitely looks nothing like what I feared it could have looked like! I have gone to him about 4 times and usually get a haircut with layers and he blow dries and curls my hair it afterward. Don't waste your time with this place. Made an appointment for 1, was running a little late so I called them at 1:05 (literally 5 mins), to tell them I'd be there shortly. He was so rude to me. Then when I got there after driving 30 mins (with gas at $7 a gallon) he tells me he can't do my hair bc it's a lot of hair and he needs more time. Pretty sure that could've been resolved if he asked me about my hair when I booked the appointment but ok! Not to mention I have thin damaged blonde hair that is shoulder length. This is an updated review for the Brazilian blowout with Omar. Leaving the salon my hair felt incredible but a couple days later when I showered my hair felt so dry and crunchy like if it had gotten burned. It also smelled like burnt chemicals no matter the product I used. I looked up the steps to a Brazilian treatment and I saw that the last steps had completely been omitted!!! I did not get a wash after the straightening and I did not get the conditioning cream - no wonder my hair felt like I burned it. The ends looks very unhealthy now and it takes me forever to shower because I have to drown my hair in conditioner to get the dry tangles out. I won't be coming back here after all. read more

Omar is sweet, but... if you are going for color and have previously colored hair and find that he is rushing, ask that things be slowed down. Before I get into it, I'll also say that the Groupon I purchased included a blowout w/ styling. Omar dried my hair to a straight length, and that was it. I could feel he was agitated at me and he did not ask me once how I liked to wear it or how I wanted it styled. It was styled very Rachel from Friends and/or Texas real estate agent.... Anyway, the meat of it is I got a trim this morning elsewhere because I sadly didn't vibe with Omar and have been looking for a new regular hair person, which I shared previously with Omar. I loved this woman. Anyway, she asked me if I had two different people do my hair color. I said, recently? Yes. I LOVED my old stylists's work but he said that MeToo survivors were all lying, Strike 1. Then told me he's an anti-vaxxer. Strike 2 just couldn't be ignored. Anyway, he was very talented and it took me a long time to find him, but I have my moral standards. So I tell the stylist that Omar did my hair in October. She said "Yes, I see. It's two completely different colors and it's not blended." I said, yeah. It's definitely chunkier highlights, more like what I was getting growing up in the early 2000's in my small town. And I said, maybe he just put too much hair in a foil and left it just too long to sit? And she said, "Maybe. What it seems like to me is that he was rushing." And y'all! HE WAS RUSHING! So, so, SO FAST! So much so that he told me I was really lucky his next client cancelled on him and gave me a lot of grief about it. I felt really bad because I do have thick hair. So of course, I paid extra for that and I tipped a very appropriate 80% because I felt so badly, but now... I'm kind of upset. My stylist this morning showed me a photo of the hair color after she gave me a cut and.... it's worse than I thought. She also told me his color job was clearly bleach. My previous, talented, yet problematic stylist told me he didn't use bleach because it's bad for the hair and not as natural looking. I realized all at once that the reason my hair has been so so SO TANGLED and dry since October was the bleach. I haven't had block, bleach highlights since my early twenties. My hair is my best physical feature and it's important to me to only get it colored every 6 months as not to damage it, and I might have to go get this fixed like, now. Just really upsetting. He's a nice guy and you can get the work cheap through Groupon. But, it sounds like he should charge more and spend more time.... Because this ain't it. read more

This review is purely based on overall client experience and results of careless work. The images linked here are final results after 2 visits to Omar. My hair simply needed a root touch up with toner and highlights from the root. He not only over processed my hair and manually left me with uneven orange chunks of different shades of of damaged blonde hair. I decided to call him as request a correction of his work. He told me himself over the phone that I am a "difficult" person and he would give me a refund. Which okay I agree should have taken up. But since he damaged my color I needed him to address how he would fix it and I wanted the process to Stay consistent. He never apologized for wasting my time. For hurting my hair and neglected to tell me he was unable to give me desired results. I messaged him with these photos of his work and he responded that I should've taken a refund. because it's essentially my fault my hair had a bad result . I'm very disappointed in how he handled this situation and felt compelled to provide my review and photographs of his work unfiltered. Further more he simply didn't listen to me or make any effort to treat my hair with any respect. Sadly I'm now having to write a negative review of. I need to update my review based on Omar response. Results don't lie and my hair quality is questionable . As a "professional"???? What professionalism is it to tell client she's not honest? He said nothing about what can be achievable . Clearly delivering unpredictable results is completely unprofessional and inexcusable especially when you're a business owner. My mistake for giving someone a chance to correct their own work. I bought a Groupon for a full head of highlights, a deep conditioning mask, and a blow dry. When I showed up today, the guy told me that I have too much hair, and refused to do it. He told me Groupon would refund me. That's really not the point: I took time out of my day to come to my hair appointment, only to be turned away. He told me I should read the fine print. Since I was already there, I offered for him to not blow dry my hair, and not do the conditioning, but still give me the highlights. So I offered for him to do only one out of the three services for the same price. He still said no and turned me away. Do not waste your time here.
