Our beach fence installation was a total failure not securing both side on our property, Cedar Fence: Cracked posts at base, split black molded posts installed. Aluminum Fence " We work with the land we are given" what a joke. Terrible and overpriced. PVC Fence Did NOT install fence where we wanted it leaving a gap. Automated Gate disaster - Dogs are our priority as I mentioned and they made us a custom18ft. gate leaving a very large gap underneath . The gap was big enough for a large 75lbs+ dogs to easily escape, never mind smaller dogs. The road out front is high traffic and dangerous but that didn't matter. " It's perfect" Tom (Sales Rep) Tom lacks candor. Also, WE FOUND THE WIRING INSIDE THE CONTROL BOX TO BE TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. NO DOUBT THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR ISSUE IN THE FUTURE after the 1 year warranty expired. It was set up to fail. Inferior products such as the intercom call box was installed without a camera, The cheapest unit possible. Also, unauthorized "service code" was programmed into our system and we were not told about it. They programmed a code into our call box without our knowledge. Craftsman Fence had a back door key to your property if we didn't discover it. Shady.

The other gate is a utility gate, opens to 10 feet with no center pole, so it cannot self latch. John told me it wouldn't be a problem to just put a lock on it and tell the inspector it is only used for accessing equipment, boats, etc. The inspector did not pass the gate, said it needs to swing only one way and self close. I spoke to both Stacy and John, I was told he knew what it needed and would be out by the end of the week. That is the last I heard from him. I can't get them to answer the phone. I've been ghosted. I know he was annoyed by having to come back, and I have no issue paying him for additional work, but I'm not the one who makes the Town rules. I've been told by other trades people that a lock on the gate hasn't passed since the 80s. It's unfortunate, I have no issue with the work that he did, he just didn't want to help out I guess. So I am back to square one, my pool is still not up to code and I have to find someone else. I would not recommend them.

However, I did not expect the level of workmanship and lack of professionalism that I experienced. Before any work had even begun, he contacted me asking for the second half of the payment before arriving at the job. He told me he needed the money because multiple family members were dying. Wanting to be understanding, I tried to work with him. I paid half of the total cost upfront as agreed. Then, on the day the materials were delivered, I found out the supplier had not been paid. Because the materials were already at my house, I felt pressured to pay the remaining balance so the supplier could be paid and the delivery could proceed. The job site was left a complete mess, with old materials and debris left at my home. The patio is still unfinished more than two months later, and the quality of the work that was completed has been extremely disappointing. Some of the pavers are already coming apart, which is unacceptable after such a short time. Communication has been nonexistent. My calls and messages have gone unanswered, and I have had no reliable way to get in touch to have the remaining work completed or the issues addressed. Overall, I paid for a finished patio but was left with an incomplete project, poor workmanship, and no customer support. I gave him every opportunity to make things right, but after months of waiting with no communication, I can no longer recommend his services. If you're considering hiring him, I strongly encourage you to think twice based on my experience.
