Overall, I have absolutely loved living at Linea. The property feels safe, luxurious, and well maintained, and the amenities are incredible. It truly feels like a 10/10 place to live. My one major frustration has been the Amazon package locker/mailroom situation. The lockers have consistently not opened for me, and almost every time I receive a package, I've had to ask the concierge team to manually help me access it. I've had packages stuck for days, and there are even some I still haven't been able to retrieve. From speaking with other residents, it seems to be hit or miss. Some have never had an issue, while others have had the same nightmare experience I have. I was even told I may want to get a P.O. box, which is pretty frustrating considering the cost and quality of the property. I'm surprised a more reliable system hasn't been implemented, especially since this seems to affect quite a few residents. Definitely something to be aware of if you receive a lot of packages! That being said, I want to make it very clear that none of these issues are the fault of the concierge or front desk team. In fact, they have gone above and beyond to help me every single time. Luke was my leasing agent and was incredible throughout the entire process. He is extremely responsive, always willing to help, and genuinely cares about making sure residents are taken care of. He is an extremely valuable part of the team. Darrius, Michael, and Hannah at the concierge/front desk also deserve special recognition. Darrius has helped me countless times with the package situation and is always willing to go out of his way to help, even carrying things to my car with me. He is genuinely one of the kindest and most helpful people I have ever come across. Michael is just as wonderful, always incredibly kind and willing to help. He even carried very heavy packages all the way to my front door after they were mistakenly delivered elsewhere. Hannah is an absolute sweetheart and has been so helpful and kind anytime I've had a question or issue. The maintenance team has also been helpful and responsive. The staff here truly make the property what it is, and I can't say enough good things about them. All in all, I would highly recommend Linea. It's a beautiful property, I feel very safe here, the amenities are fantastic, and the people who work here are exceptional. The package locker/mailroom system is definitely a major issue that I hope management addresses, but outside of that, Linea has been a 10/10 experience for me. read more

The front desk and leasing office is AWFUL and POORLY ORGANIZED for a luxury level department like this. Me and my girlfriend have decided to move to this area recently and we wanted to check this apartment out. It is a bit pricy and we expected professional and friendly attitude from its staff. We booked the appointment on their website and they did not send us any kind of confirmation(not email, not text), so we booked two slots (4pm and 5pm) as a double safety. Their staff called us at 4:05 and we confirmed we will show up before 5pm for the showing. We arrived at 4:50, the front desk staff told us there is no one can show us the units, and there is no way we can see any units today. We drove 40 minutes thru traffic with a previous call from their staff telling us we will have a tour, arrived right on time and ended up seeing nothing. If you are looking for an apartment at this price range I am sure there are better organized company on the market who knows how to solve a problem instead of just saying no. Btw, the train is right by the side of this building and it is annoyingly loud. read more

I absolutely love Linea Apartments. The community is luxurious, beautifully maintained, and offers outstanding amenities. The clubhouse is exceptional, with complimentary coffee, two beautiful pools, and a relaxing jacuzzi. The location is another major advantage--it's only about 6 miles from UCLA and conveniently situated at the intersection of I-10 and I-405, making it easy to get around Los Angeles. Linea has been an amazing place to live thus far. Amenities are top notch, gym is outstanding with everything you could need including squat rack and Olympic bar which can be hard to find. Rooftop with amazing sunset views on top of a tall building and a rooftop pool as well! On top of that, location is great..grocery is walking distance (Smart and final) and any other grocery you could want are within 10 mins driving. Lots of eateries walking distance too along Pico or Sawtelle. Maintenance has been very response to requests and special shout out to Luke at the leasing office who has been amazing in welcoming us and really taking the time to check in and ensure our transition here has been as comfortable as possible. read more

We've been really happy living here so far! The amenities have been one of our favorite parts of the building. We've been loving the pool and rooftop, and the gym has everything you need for a great workout. The location is also hard to beat. There are several restaurants within walking distance, and there's even a great coffee shop right in the building. You can pretty much get everything you need either at the complex or within a five-minute walk, which has made day-to-day life so convenient. Another huge plus has been the maintenance team. They've been incredibly attentive, responsive, and helpful whenever we've needed anything. read more

Desiree gave me a wonderful tour. The main feature that drew me to Linea is the gorgeous rooftop view of sunset. Desiree, Luke and Andrew in the Leasing office supported my move in and getting acquainted with the community and amenities. Hannah, Tamara and Chris help me with deliveries, carts, printing and all my many questions. Will and Security have assisted me the few times I've accidentally locked myself out the first week. They keep us safe and sound. The engineering team have answered my appliance and other requests for repairs quickly. Plus Luis is a big Dodger fan like me! The apartment itself had a few blemishes like nicks in the flooring and dents on the stove that I wish had been changed out freshly before I moved in, yet other than that I am very happy in my new home. read more

I had a missing package due to a technical issue with the Amazon lockers and he made sure to fix the issue, retrieve the package, and hand deliver it to my door. This is just one example of the many times he's been helpful and gone above and beyond. Not to mention he's always happy to see our dog, Nala, when we walk by. Lived here 4 years--first 3 were great. The last year has been a completely different experience, largely due to management, specifically Leticia. When I escalated concerns to her manager, the situation was suddenly described very differently than what had actually been reported over months. Huge accountability issue with the BUILDING MANAGER, so you won't have luck if you have issues here. Example: my AC was broken for days and my unit reached over 90° (confirmed by maintenance). Instead of addressing that, I was told it was "in the 70s outside," which completely ignores the actual conditions inside the unit. Same pattern with noise complaints repeated, documented issues that somehow get minimized or reframed when escalated. "We ran the times you reported and they were not home" Ok so I'm just making it up then! Tamara and Hannah at the front desk have been great and far more helpful than management. read more

I rarely write reviews, but my experience here has been beyond frustrating from day one. I was commuting from Orange County to Los Angeles for work and needed to move in ASAP. The application process took three weeks to complete, despite multiple emails and calls. Communication was incredibly inconsistent -- agents frequently sent out-of-office replies for 4-5 days at a time, and there appears to be little to no reliable on-site support. When I was finally approved, I was rushed to move in -- but on move-in day, my keys didn't work. While carrying boxes, I had to go up and down the elevator 5-6 times trying to figure it out. It took about 1.5 to 2 hours to resolve -- on MOVE-IN DAY. There was no on-site staff available to help. Thankfully, 24-hour security stepped in, otherwise we would have had to wait for off-site maintenance. When I finally got inside, the apartment reeked of bleach, and the sink was fully leaking. No one told me where my assigned parking spot was, so the night of move-in I had to park in a random spot and hope I wouldn't get towed. I didn't actually find out where my real parking space was until days later after following up myself -- and it's located near the opposite building. To make matters worse, my keys stopped working again days later. Security had to let me in and warned me that if I left again after hours, I'd be locked out until leasing returned the next morning (9am-5pm). I had to leave belongings in my car overnight because I thought I'd be able to come back for them. The next day, I discovered the thermostat didn't even turn on -- the apartment was hot and the AC wasn't functioning. It's been one issue after another, and I haven't even been here a week. This has felt completely unprofessional and disorganized. It does not seem like units are properly inspected before move-in, and there is no reliable on-site staff when problems arise. If you're considering touring or applying, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Save yourself the stress. read more

I stopped by this property and had a very poor experience with woman working the front desk. She was unnecessarily rude to me, dismissive, and seemed more interested in exerting authority than helping. While I was in the lobby waiting for the a resident, I noticed she interacted with other guests the same way. It created an unwelcoming atmosphere and reflected poorly on the building. Guest-facing staff should be courteous and professional, and that was definitely not the case here. read more

The Linea is a very beautiful and peaceful building with a friendly staff for the most part and usually more than willing to assist. They have plenty of great amenities on the property (especially the rooftop cabanas) & the BBQ's placed all around the community areas are also awesome. However, I do wish I had been more aware of the maintenance situation before signing my lease. I've had ongoing issues with my unit since move-in, and unfortunately the response and repair times have been very veryy slow. I do understand there are many residents here, but there just doesn't seem to be enough maintenance support to keep up with requests in a timely manner. For example, it has been nearly three months since I've been able to use the shower in my master bathroom. Additionally, one of the repairs (a sprinkler cap) was temporarily "fixed" with black electrical tape, which is not ideal in terms of functionality or appearance. While I do believe the maintenance team is doing the best they can, the turnaround time is difficult to overlook. It's an otherwise lovely building, but the ongoing and unresolved maintenance issues make it hard to consider renewing the lease. read more

I had the Best Experience living at Linea for almost 5 years. I'd like to thank Luke , Desirea, Leticia, Jason and my boy Daniel (maintenance manager). Along with the whole concierge team . Adrain , Yamene and Moses were exceptional. The best team. The only reason that I moved was because of Andrew. He is the leasing manager there at Linea. My fourth year renewing my lease Luke, who has always been super professional and really amazing offered me a $1500 concession due to me renewing my lease so many times. I was super grateful for it and it had been approved by a manager named Christina, who is no longer there. Andrew heard about it and was upset right away and told me that I could not have the concession. Luke worked hard to get me the concession still and was able to get a $750 consession for me .Andrew was visibly upset but allowed it. He then took the $750 out of my deposit, which was stated on my new lease. I told him that my deposit amount was incorrect and he told me that I was wrong and that it would not be changed. I told him that I had renewed my lease several times and had all of them available with the same deposit amount that I had moved in with. He had deducted $750 from my deposit. He did not want to make any corrections so I had to go to management. Leticia and Desiree were amazing and corrected his wrongs and apologized. I am so grateful for those two. Can you imagine paying a deposit to move in and because you get a special fee deducted from your rent for renewing your lease a 4th time , it being stolen from your deposit. What Andrew did was unbelievable and super unprofessional. I'm not sure what I ever did to him to make him dislike me and to do such a spiteful thing, but it was undeserving. Again, things were corrected but I chose not to renew my lease after that. I am very grateful for my time at Linea. The apartments are beautiful and the maintenance team are super amazing and really take great care of you. I've had a great experience living at Linea. Great amenities and amazing location if you want to take advantage of public transportation. Train station and bus stop is just a few steps away. E line is just 4 stops to Santa Monica and also accessible to go to DTLA. Numerous buses, including the 6 and 6R that you can take to go to UCLA or the 17 to go the VA. Parking is extra, but guest parking is always ample. Great gym, pool, and outdoor space. Free coffee and sparkling water in the community lounge. Maintenance items are promptly addressed. Luke has been great to work with for our 2 leases. Can't recommend him enough if you have any housing needs and questions. read more

If I could, I would give Linea a 4.5/5 star rating, due to a few hiccups with the rent price, traffic, and responsiveness to my noise complaints, but I will round my rating to 5 starts. Here is a breakdown of my 1-year tenancy at Linea. Location: Linea is located right next to the 405 freeway, a major artery that connects Ventura County to LA Country. While this may be convenient, the traffic around Linea is frustrating, especially with major streets like Sawtelle, Pico, and Sepulveda (also, the Sawtelle/Pico intersection is the worst intersection designed, and I seriously hope things get better in the future). I would highly recommend avoiding this intersection at all costs (especially at peak traffic hours) and use alternative routes such as Exposition, Sepulveda, and Gateway or else you will be sitting at that intersection for 15+ minutes (sometimes 20+ minutes if there are ambulances or police cars with sirens). Linea is also located near the 10 freeway, Metrolink, and bus stops! Linea is also located near grocery stores (Trader Joe's, Ralphs, and Smart and Final), and is near some great restaurants. Staff/Leasing Office: The concierge and maintenance crew take really good care of the facility (e.g., biyearly window cleanings, immediately addressing problems with elevators and garage gates, yearly lint dryer cleaning). The Leasing Office is really helpful at addressing questions as well (I commend Luke for his support during my move-in and move-out). My only minor complaint was that I filled out a noise complaint for my upstairs neighbor, and I never heard a follow-up response from the concierge team, but by then, I was already set on moving on from Linea and never went through with following up with them on the issue. Amenities: The pools and gym are very well maintained! Open-space seating and grills for gatherings are also kept very clean. Unit: I rented a studio, which was in great shape during my move-in. There was plenty of cabinet and closet space to store my belongings. There is also an air circulator in all units that recirculates air throughout the building. My only complaint might be the refrigerator that I had, because it was pretty noisy at night. Cost: Linea can be considered a "luxury apartment complex," which is why the rent prices are on the higher end. I did find it somewhat deceiving that the rent does not include costs for other fees (e.g., utilities, Internet, trash, parking, and amenities). The costs definitely are roughly $200-300 on top of the monthly rent. In my opinion, if you are a 1st time renter, it is worth it if you get the first month of rent-free option, but if you plan to renew, I am not sure if the option is available, so you may be paying $3200/month instead of the $2900/month that was advertised. Parking: The parking structure is ventilated well (kudos to whoever came up with the design of the parking structure not being fully underground!) and kept very clean! The only issue is that the parking structure is somewhat of a maze and has very tight corners. Just make sure to drive carefully and pay close attention to the mirrors. The guest parking lot can be better organized. I wish Linea came up with a way to reserve spots on their website beforehand without having to go directly to concierge to fill out forms. That way we can reserve spots ahead of time. Homeless (yes we are talking about it): The 405 underpass on Pico/Sawtelle is home to a homeless encampment that has (fortunately) been getting better with more police involvement. However, before I left, it appeared the homeless migrated to the 405 underpass on Sepulveda. The homeless issue will never go away outside of Linea, and it makes it difficult to walk outside of Linea. But I will say that I have never encountered a single homeless person entering Linea's premises, so Linea is a safe place to live. Once again, I commend the Linea team and will truly miss being here. I am still waiting on things like my security deposit, and will update if there are any hiccups with that. read more

Terrible move in experience, they knew we were driving after work from Orange county to west Los Angeles they close at 6 and doors were locked at 5:50 and look at us through the glass like we had a problem one guy wouldn't even look up and barly let us in. Gave us keys that didn't work 4 times, we sat in front of our unit for over an hour finally they figured out the lock wasn't reset from the old tenant, and we susposed to move in the day before. we finally get in the unit it smells like bleach and the kitchen sink is leaking water. They have no onsite to help with keys or repair wanted us to wait a 2 hours for the off cite guy to come from the valley. They didn't give us any instructions no parking spot number nothing just unacceptable. If you're promoting this great living experience at Linea you might want to live up to it. You can not take people money and not deliver. read more

I lived here for a year. Would not recommend. Guest parking is a nightmare. Navigating the building is a headache, even going down to grab your mail becomes very annoying. You can't get ANYWHERE in the building without a FOB (which are limited to 1 per person named on the lease - keep that in mind as you read the rest of this review.) This FOB ordeal is a nightmare for both guests and residents. Good luck having friends come over / convincing them to return. If they're lucky enough to secure parking, figure out the parking permit procedures, and then deal with the often rude and overwhelmed front desk, then you'll have the privilege of trying to explain to them where they can meet you on the fourth floor so you can escort them to a second set of elevators and then FOB them up to your unit. No, they cannot access your floor without you. You need to go down every time. I chose this apartment because I wanted to have people over constantly. Great pool, great location, seemed perfect. But no one wanted to deal with parking, let alone the rest of the headache. Cars are also constantly stopped in front of Sepulveda to pick / drop off people, blocking entrances / exits, causing traffic, and making it really hard to pull in / out of the building. Their most ridiculous, outrageous policy: if you accidentally leave your FOB in your apartment , your door will automatically lock you out. If this happens after 7pm, they'll charge you $150 to create a temporary FOB for you to immediately return. Why charge? Front desk just goes in the back for less than 5 minutes to update an RFID chip. What costs are they incurring? Why not allow residents to have more than 1 FOB to help avoid this + all the other issues above? Or why not install locks that can be opened by our phones, like any other modern building? I've had to sleep at friends' places multiple time just to avoid this. It is infuriating. I've seen the community manager respond to another comment by saying that these policies help create a safe space for everyone. Believe me, arbitrarily charging residents $150 just to get back into their own apartment is not doing anything but giving Linea another excuse to take your money. Homeless people love to hang around outside 24/7. And when I say 24/7, I really mean 24/7. They leave trash everywhere, graffiti the walls, and it literally smells like piss. Apparently there was a shooting here before. I was not here for that. But my car (and other residents' cars) was broken into the night of this year's Super Bowl. They stole everything inside. No cameras in the parking lot to see how they got in. And the roof of the garage once leaked some crazy liquid on my windshield that required professional detailing to remove. The amenities are nice but not nice enough to justify how high the rent is. Also, 1 out of their 4 buildings are dedicated to senior citizens. They do not advertise this. A quarter of the tenants are elderly. Most other tenants are foreign exchange students. The front desk are generally not friendly and don't give 2 shits about getting to know you. Honestly, some of them seem pretty weird. But Andrew in leasing was great - he's a good guy and I feel like he should get some praise. If you're going to live alone, never leave the complex, and actually use the amenities daily - then this might be a good spot for you so long as you can *easily* afford it. Otherwise, I'd avoid. read more
