I'd like to start off by saying they had an amazing selection, of clothes, trinkets and furniture. Unlike other vintage stores, this one felt inviting and clean, both upstairs and downstairs were well kept and seemingly updated constantly. Everything was priced fairly, and some great steals where there. Now what makes this place give stars is the level of service and honesty hospitality they give. I wanted to buy a camera but was unsure because of the risk that came with buying old electronics. But all the workers pitched in and helped me see if it still worked, we tried cables, batteries, lenses, cleaning and so on and so forth. Overall they went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable buying it, when they could've just let me walk out with a faulty camera. They even gifted me batteries for it. I attempted to shop at this antique store but was stopped at the entrance and told I had to check in my purse before entering. That alone is an unreasonable request--but what made it worse was the blatant inconsistency. While I was being told this was "store policy," I could clearly see two other customers inside the store carrying purses similar in size to mine. So let's be honest--this was not a policy being applied equally. It was selective enforcement, and that's unacceptable. I am not handing my personal belongings over to a stranger just to browse a store. If a business is concerned about theft, there are far more professional and respectful ways to address it--security cameras, adequate staffing, or bag checks upon exit. Asking customers to surrender their belongings at the door shows a lack of trust and poor judgment. And if you're going to have a policy, it must be applied consistently to every single customer. Anything less raises serious concerns. I chose to leave immediately. A business that treats customers this way does not deserve my time or money. read more

This is in response to the owners reply: Just to clarify for anyone reading: I never asked for the policy to be changed. I simply declined to hand over my purse. Many people carry important items that they cannot just leave with strangers or lock in a car, work materials, medication, and in some cases even legally protected items. You never know someone's situation, and it's unreasonable to demand that. We were 100% calm cool and collected the entire time. Yes, my husband said "f*** that, let's go," but that was directed at me as we were leaving, not at staff. We were already walking out when employees continued shouting at us, which is what escalated things. The claim that I was offered a "stadium-sized" bag is false. What I was actually given was a tiny clear child-sized bag that couldn't even hold the basics like a wallet and phone. What really happened is that multiple staff members, including the owner, ganged up on us with hostility instead of professionalism. On top of that, the area outside the shop had homeless people hanging around, which only reinforced why leaving a nice purse visible in a parked car there didn't feel safe. I stand by my original review. The policy is inconsistent, the way it was enforced was unprofessional, and the treatment of customers was unnecessarily hostile. read more

Don't bring your business here. If you are female and your purse to them looks too big they will try and make you check it in or keep your purse in your car. Even if there are other females there with purses the same size. The gentleman in the front checking people in doesn't care. The worker male and was there April 4th at 2:20pm. Some women have expensive purses and do not want to check them in with all their personal belongings in it. It's rude when you see 5 other females with purses right in front of you and you are the one stopped while they are shopping and not allowed in. When the worker was asked about the other purses all he said was that bag is bigger. It was an average size purse. That establishment doesn't trust customers with their purses then customers shouldn't trust that establishment. We were planning on making purchase there but unfortunately we will never be back. Stopped by Pomona to see the Antique shops. Antique Mart looked promising from the outside. The building is an older 3 Story, with an inviting look. Once inside, the mood changed quickly. The shop looked dark and dusty. It looks like there was lights that followed the halls, that were taken out. Those are desperately needed. The dark and dingy hallways are a turn off. When I reached the end of the first hallway, there was a display case at the end, that was soo dark, it was hard to see the merchandise inside. I should not have to walk around with a flashlight to see the merchandise. The shop has additional floors, which I did not bother to see. I wish the shop could spruce up a bit and add lighting that is desperately needed. read more

My best friend and I love love love antiques. We were in town from Long Beach to go to The Great Junk Hunt at the fairplex. It was fun but we felt the need to keep the party going. We Googled Antiques and we came across Antique Row and people were talking crap on the online reviews but we decided to go anyways. So happy we did! This store is a gem! I loved it before knowing they are a family owned small business and now I know that I love it even more. The staff/owners are incredibly helpful, sooo sweet and I felt completely welcomed- which I don't always feel upon entering most antique stores. I scored with my purchases too! When I used to live in Pomona I would run past this place a lot. A few years back this area had a row of antique shops you could visit for the afternoon. Nowadays this area is moreso a ghost town, with a few antique stores left and some random niche businesses and insignificant stores here and there. Parking is fine, it's by a college so be weary of parking signs. There are a few places you can park for free depending on the day of the week, and neighborhood parking is always an option (lock your doors and make sure NOTHING is in view). They also have pay to park areas. This is one of the few remaining antique shops on the block and it's pretty darn huge. It has three floors (I believe the bottom floor is furniture). It appears that each section is renting out by a different collector. Most of the time I find that the items in there are overpriced, not by a crazy amount, but still overpriced for the most part. I understand that's not the store's fault though. Even if you're not looking to buy anything in particular, it's an awesome place to browse. It's especially a great place to bring another person to. It's just so entertaining! Heads up: no backpacks or large bags of any kind are allowed. I imagine somebody ruined that privilege for the rest of us. They were super accommodating and offered me something to hold my belongings. I'd come back! read more

Please start piping some old music to go with the antique vibe. I have been going to this place since the 90s and it used to be so pleasant. I went in one day recently and the speakers throughout the whole place was screaming this modern music. I literally couldn't think and I left. I'm not a picky person, but it was weirdly uncomfortable. The music was too loud. I am loyal so I won't give a bad star review, but just hoping to have some quiet and cool ol' music piped through. Meh. Big giant antique meh. Yes, this place is MASSIVE ( like three stories) but after ten minutes here you'll realize that all the things in the stalls looks the same because all the things in the stalls are the same. Okay, not *all* the things are the same but the majority of stalls that are hidden in the back of the store or downstairs ( which there are actually some good deals) I definitely spotted some really neat stuff at some of the stalls here but there was something about this particular store that seemed so soulless that I did not want to purchase anything here. It's funny because many of the items here were actually a lot older than the stuff that I spotted at other stores but there was something about the monstrosity and the sheer volume of products in the store that really turned me off. Like many of the other antique shops on antique row the stuff here is overpriced but unlike many of the other stores on antique row this store this store lacks charm, character, customer service or anything that makes me want to drop dollas here. If you have boundless energy and are looking for a one stop shopping experience on Antique Row I'd suggest you check out the Antique Mart. If what I have just described sounds kinda sorta awful I would suggest taking a pass on the Pomona Antique Mart. read more

We love to go on the hunt for unique finds and found this local antique mart. It is a good size antique mart with three floors. There are several antique stores on the same street but many of them have since closed down. This street must have been great in its' hey day if you're into antiques. You can easily spend 2-3 hours browsing the mart and it is definitely worth a look. read more

Is this place even open anymore? I've driven out to visit twice and it's been closed both times, with no store hours in the window. Most recently visited on a Pomona Street Fair Saturday, when vendors are selling their stuff at 8am, so I would have thought they'd be open, but I left at 11:15 and it stayed closed read more

I came here to sell some antiques (and afterwards I had planned on buying a couple cute items in this store), but I experienced some terrible customer service and I have no desire to ever return here. I had some items to sell (teapots and teacups) and so I called this store and asked if they were interested. They said they might be, so I brought them in and when I got there I began unwrapping them and placing them on the counter so they could take a look at them. The woman working there was very unpleasant and seemed completely uninterested, so I started to feel like this was a waste of my time. As I was laying out my items, a customer in the store came up to me and asked if what I had was for sale. The woman that worked there said "No. They're hers, ask her", so of course I said yes. She paid me $16 for two teacups and saucers. Immediately after, the woman who worked there (who I presume is the owner) said she was no longer interested in buying my items because I just sold something to a customer in front of her. She was very rude to me when telling me this and I was completely taken aback. I told her that I have never sold anything to an antique store before and if I had somehow broken any antiquing etiquette rules, that was not my intention at all. I was so confused at what had happened, and even though I explained that and apologized, she acted like I had just committed some terrible offense. It was a really odd experience, and in the future I will take my business to one of the many other antique stores nearby. read more

When the manager (male) told me the reason I wasn't recognized ( dropped over $800 in three weeks here) is because "you're unmemorable"... and with that I will never shop here again. Customer Service is the worst ever! We drove over 500 miles to purchase a piano bar and oak cabinet and when we got there the piano bar was in front and when we ask about it they said it was right there...they ran to the back so they would not have to help! then the manager told use we look like strong men, we can do it ourselves. the Manager also told us that customer's who come into the store, will break items just to get a discount on them. When in fact we heard them drop the oak cabinet on the floor and damaging it! they denied it and told us the cabinet was like that already! It''s sad they take advantage of customer's and the customer's on consignment as well. We decided not to purchase the oak cabinet and look down the street for another! read more

He was quick to help me find exactly what I needed and showed me options that were cheaper but fit what I needed better.
