A new housewares store in a somewhat odd location IMO. With all the construction going on in this stretch of entertainment district I doubt most of us will venture out here to visit this store. The setup is nice and clean and the items are thoughtfully organised. The staff was there for help when needed which is appreciated. The variety of items sold here is decent for linens (surprise surprise), OK for kitchen tools and cook-ware. I was looking for a specific item and the variety they had here was quite nice. Ended up getting something that is sure to wow the recipient. They also advertise a 1 year price match warranty which is unheard of in retail as far as I know. The prices were decent for the kind of items they offer. I will visit again 3.5 stars. read more

I will never shop at Linen Chest again! They have the worst customer service ever! I went to purchase bedding from them and they didn't have the size I needed in stock so the sales person suggested that I placed an order at their store and the bedding would be sent to me in approximately two weeks, that was 8 weeks ago! After going back numerous times and being promised that the bedding was on its way, I have now been informed that they don't have any stock in their warehouse and I might get my bedding in another 6 weeks if I'm lucky. I never received as much as an email or phone call to update me on my order, each time I had to enquire. Want to get ghosted by customer service? Chose Linen Chest. I had a terrible experience with their online chat. I was connected with Nancy. I wanted to figure out how to return something in lockdown. They have a 60 day return policy... but they also don't allow in store returns right now. When I asked how I could make sure I could still return the item should the 60 days elapsed before they start allowing returns again... no response. Not only did Nancy refuse to connect me with a manager when I asked about their return policy, they just stopped responding on the chat. I asked if they were still there... nothing. I needed new blinds and thought of the Linen Chest as they sell Hunter Douglas shades. Short version of a sad story.. I bought for the family room and solarium (6 shades) and a few months later for my bedroom (2 shades). In total, not a small order. The Hunter Douglas shades are lovely, that is if you buy the right type of shade or colour. But our experience with the service was not good at all. The first design consultant never suggested motorized. It was my 90 year old husband who after the purchase was finalized, and the consultant left asked for motorized shades. And our second order, the one for our bedroom is beyond disappointing. The colour of the shades change with the light, so that at night it goes to a brownish tone that looks simply awful with my off white drapes and blue walls. I had told the consultant I needed off white shades. The discussion with the Linen Chest manger was all about how it was my fault as I decided what I wanted. No apology for not giving me all the information about how these shades respond to light or for my spending alot of money on shades I now have to replace. It seems the concept of satisfied customer doesn't exist in this company. read more

I order goods online on 20th January. They charged my credit card and sent part of the order out. They then charged my credit card a few days later and sent another part of the order out. On the 23rd January I got an email saying they were waiting for something to come in. On the 28th January they charged my card for the remaining balance of the order but they have never shipped the rest to me. I wrote to them on the 3rd February and got no reply and wrote again on the 6th and still got no reply. I have now had to go to my bank in order to try to get my money back. This is the second (and last) time I have placed an order with them and both times have been disasters. They were late sending the first order out and so enclosed a $10 gift card for me only thing was when I tried to use it it came up as invalid. I would like to give negative stars for this "Company". They shouldn't be in business and most certainly should remove online shopping from their website. read more

I would never shop here again. I placed one order for a set of dishes. Once placed I got an email confirmation for TWO orders with two different order numbers. I tried to get a hold of Linen Chest through their "live" chat but cue was too long so they asked me to send a message, which I did. I also sent an email immediately to let them know of the technical issue with their ordering system and requesting assurance that I would not be charged twice. I did not hear back through either channel. A few days later one set of dishes was delivered and so I thought the issue was corrected. However, yesterday, three weeks later, I got a second set delivered. I was of course charged for two sets. Again, given their is no customer service number I had to email to ask for a resolution. I did get a response but they did not address the original issue. They told me to just go to a location and return. I live no where close to a linen chest, hence why I ordered online. I sent another email asking for a resolution, given I only ever placed one order and I received no response. I am beyond frustrated. read more

I don't have any complaints about the actual store. It is fairly large with a decent variety of good quality products. However, my husband and I recently purchased Hunter Douglas blinds from them. It was a huge ordeal from the beginning. The design consultant was quick to give us a quote and even extended an offer for a discount on motorization, but unfortunately it all went downhill from there. We ordered our blinds in December and should have gotten them in 4-6 weeks (January), but didn't get them properly installed until July. We had to call the designer multiple times to get updates on our order because more than 8 weeks passed and we didn't hear anything from them. When they finally came in, it turned out the installer didn't measure one of our windows properly so we had to have it sent back to Hunter Douglas to remake. Also, another one of the blind's motor wasn't programmed properly. We then had to constantly call the installer get updates on our blinds because he would tell us they should be ready in 'x' number of weeks but we wouldn't hear from him for weeks AFTER what he told us. He even didn't show up one time even thought we arranged a time for him to come in to install the blinds. He was difficult to reach and didn't return some of our calls. When the 'fixed' blind came back, it turned out it still wasn't programmed properly so they had to be sent back again. Finally after 7 months we had our blinds installed. One of the reasons why we went with Linen Chest for our blinds was their 24 month interest free payment plan. But that was a big headache too! The designer didn't seem like she knew how the financing even worked from the beginning. After our blinds were finally installed someone from Linen Chest called us to get us signed up for a Desjardin credit card which apparently was required for the interest free payment plan. But even this person did not seem to know how the whole thing worked. So 2 months later we get an email from Desjardin saying we are late on our monthly payment for the blinds. We called Desjardin and they seemed to be the only people who knew what they were doing and were actually helpful and sorted everything out. Linen Chest did nothing to compensate for all the inconvenience and delay even though they knew we were unhappy with their service. To top it off, one of their promotions when we purchased the blinds was a $100 Linen Chest gift card. The Linen Chest employee who activated our Desjardin credit card promised he would mail it to us right away. Many weeks passed and we didn't receive anything. So we even had to call them back to hassle them for the $100 gift card! If I had known there would be so many problems, I would have rather paid for the blinds upfront and gone with a more reputable company. It's unfortunate Linen Chest does not do more to ensure their 'home decorating' services are up to par. read more
