My granddaughter attended Linfield Christian School from Kindergarten through 12th grade. The religious emphasis at the school has helped her and other students to develop a strong moral, Christian foundation upon which to guide her future. The school is large enough to offer a varied and challenging program including Internation Baccalaureate courses for talented students, and it is small enough to be concerned for the needs and strengths of individual students. The school sponsors a variety of academic, athletic, social, and team-building events which stimulate and motivate students. The school claims to be a Christian school. I sent my son there and he said he was bullied every day and they never stopped it.

Do not send your kids here. I'm a Linfield alumni who was an accomplished athlete, active on the worship team, and involved in multiple mission trips. From the outside, this school looks like a "safe Christian environment," but that's the furthest thing from the truth. My 4 years here left me questioning my faith, my worth, and the reality of God's love. The culture the faculty & staff has created is manipulative, demeaning, and oppressive. I literally could not wait to graduate & get out of this depressing place. The way these people claim to represent Christ and His character had me questioning my faith & thinking "If this is Christianity, I want nothing to do with it". After graduating, I had to completely relearn the true definition of God's love. I've been fortunate enough that God opened my eyes to see that Linfield's fake, self-serving version of Christianity does NOT define my faith or true identity in Christ. I just hope that anyone else that has spent time here is able to realize that truth as well. Now in my early 20's, I can clearly see that all the rude & miserable people at Linfield genuinely did not care about the wellbeing or the spiritual walks of any of their students. So please, if you are a parent considering Linfield, know that the environment here is not at all what it claims to be. Protect your kids and do not send them here if you want them to thrive academically, spiritually, and personally. I graduated in 2016. It's sad to see some of these former "alumni" make such disgusting comments against this school. I'm seeing people make completely false statements saying Linfield is "homophobic" or they support sexual assault and such which are complete lies! The people that said this stuff were having to go to Linfield because their parents wanted them to, and they actually turned out to be pretty horrible and immoral individuals.. and Linfield is NOT to blame. Linfield teaches every student to follow their own path. After graduating I went to college and got my AA, AS, and BA... and now I'm in the medical field. I loved linfield and my time there, especially high school and soccer. BUT.. one thing I will complain about is the fact that international students were treated differently. They were allowed to wear what they wanted basically, uniform even if it was against dress code... but other girls would get in trouble. I was bullied by some football players and they never got in trouble because the principals son was one of the football players and his friends were bullying me (mind you I'm a female!!), and the teachers had favorites... a couple teachers that actually still work there... I won't mention names. But overall, I was happy with Linfield and I don't think anyone should be listening to some of these reviews that are completely false. Again, the people making those reviews are now very disturbed people. read more

Horrible! This is supposed to be a Christian school, representing the love of Jesus, but all they do is shame upon people that don't believe in Christ, even though real Christians show love and mercy, and teach with respect of views of other, and try to help them not just push and push! they do not care about the feelings of anyone around them. They just care whether or not their school "looks good". my daughter shadowed for a day and she came back horrified because she did not hear one person excited about being there or telling her that she should come. She had more people tell her not to come here because it is " living hell". I think the teachers and faculty of the school need to get a better look at what is going on with their students and not just care about what it looks like on the outside! read more

This school has depreciated in the past few years. Fostering a culture of violence in sports. Physical fights are becoming common. Sporting events have become more of a safety issue than enjoyable growth.! It can't always be "the other school students fault"! I have had Children attending Linfield since 1997 and my youngest will graduate in 2020. My oldest daughter who went to Linfield K-12 is graduating from Biola this year with a degree in psychology. Linfield is the reason we moved from Canyon Lake to Temecula. The values of the parents, students and faculty provide a positive and nurturing environment and the academics are fantastic. Linfield, without a doubt has partnered with us to help develop our children into beautiful Christian women. Putting my daughters in Linfield is without question one of the greatest decisions I have ever made as a father. For some, the tuition is a challenge and that is why Linfield has created a tuition assistance program. As far as value, Linfield compares to other private institutions double the price. The reality is that a private college prep education at Linfield is about the same cost annually as daycare. Not inexpensive but for me has been a God Send. If you are considering a private education for your children Linfield in my opinion is an amazing option. read more

I can tell you that Bria H's comment to me was pure BS and that she absolutely lied when she said that "We will be practicing elsewhere on Thursday mornings, so as not to disturb our neighbors". This morning again at 7:15 am until 7:45 am they were still at it. And to make matters worse, in retaliation, they decided to up the volume by over twice the amount by blaring their so called music so loud that my house rattled and shook with the "BOOM, BOOM" of their so called music. It seems that some people at Linfield Christian School get even more belligerent when they know they're disturbing someone. I couldn't sit in my living room, (my living room mind you) next to my wife and carry on a conversation because of the blaring noise, from 9:00 am until 10:00 am this morning and I live approximately ¼ mile from the school. If this persists, I will call the police and file a complaint of "Disturbing the Peace". Many of the subjective noise ordinances seek to control excessive noise that is of such character that it "tends to annoy, disturb or cause physiological or psychological harm to a person with normal sensitivities. Disturbing the peace charges occur when a person has infringed upon or frustrated someone else's right to peace and tranquility. It is obvious that they could care less about the community and the privacy of the residents. Anything they say has proven to be pure BS!!!! I would NEVER consider sending any child to Linfield Christian School. They only care about themselves and if you complain they lie and get back at you! read more

Do not send you child here. Do not send your child here, especially if your child is a girl. I entered Linfield as a freshmen in 2013, and over the years I spent there I heard phrases like: "You will be beneath your husband" "your place is in the home" "women cannot be secure without a man" and that "abortion is worse than the holocaust", all from faculty and staff. As a young woman, it was degrading to experience my teenage years in a place where half the school was considered superior to me, just because of their sex. In a school that is supposed to be based on college prep, it felt like they were preparing me for a life of baby-making, not college and post-graduate education! For young women, Linfield is a hostile environment. We were constantly told how to dress, and that we must dress modestly because "boys at this age can't control themselves"... I guess thats why they banned skirts when guys were caught looking up them on the stairs, instead of giving the boys any consequences, or even a seminar on how to respect women. Secondly, we were told to always submit to sex with our husbands, even if we don't want to (rape?) because its a "mans way of showing love." It is this culture that lead myself, and countless girls of my generation at Linfield to be sexually assaulted, and be too afraid to come forward about it. It was this culture that lead the football team to create a google drive full of nude photos of they had received from girls at Linfield, share it with each other, and only receive a slap on wrist from the football faculty..oh, and yes, they still got to play. It was this culture that lead a close friend of mine to be raped. She was too scared to come forward about it because of the boys money and connections with the school...oh and she left Linfield because everyone in her grade started calling her a whore, and was never disciplined. It would take all day to write about the LGBT treatment in this school. read more

This school I'm sure, has a higher educational standard than most. My family thought about enrolling my little sister here for high school and did. We signed their contract as to terms for finances and payment, etc. Our family business took a hit as everyone did with the recession. We had explained this to the Linfield Principal and other administrators that my sister was not going to attend due to financial struggles, but only got the same indifference from everyone. We had to pay the $2,800 we had agreed on the contract which is understandable but my little sister had not attended one second of class at this "Christian" institution. As a baseball parent visiting the school, I am highly impressed with the aesthetics of the campus and quality of the baseball field. However, you'd think a private school, that charges something like $10k per student, with its own lake, would have enough money to put in decent seating...they do not even have basic bleachers like public schools! The teachers are amazing as they can teach a lesson and make the information sound crystal clear as well as including the Bible into what you are learning. Linfield lacks a high quality education. The foundation is poor and masked by colorful marketing/activities. However, once you compare what other schools are reading and writing you will quickly see that learning opportunities are taken away from your child. It's unfortunate because children can learn like a sponge at this age. Linfield needs higher expectations for the children and adequate resources to help them learn a solid foundation. Teachers do not receive professional training which reflects in the outcome. Linfield spent good money on making the ES campus look pretty with new playgrounds, posters, etc. Those items perish over time. The money should of been spent on curriculum training for the teachers and hiring professionals to place process and protocols in place to ensure a quality environment. The poster make it seem like they have a anti-bully campaign in place, however they expect the children to behave based on those posters. The lack of process and protocols on behavior correction allows the children that are aggressive to slip between the cracks and allow them to continue to be a issue to those kids that are kind. They place too much grace on the aggressive kids, which helps no one to include the aggressive kids. Many times, classwork and the homework is graded incorrectly. Homework that is not completed goes into a disappearing bin. This fosters bad habits. Books are not encourage to come home to study due to a lack of interest in the majority. That practice is not reality when your child needs to compete at an academic level in higher arenas. By then it will be too late to catch up. The Elementary School is not equipped to handle matters in a professional protocol, which causes distress for families; which means issues that arise are not handled in a serious concern. Spending that much on tuition and receiving a low standard education environment is sad. They also have a financial contract that is really bad for families, because like any real life situation, one never knows if someone will have a job loss, family circumstance change, or perhaps a bad bully situation. The financial contract that Linfield has you sign when you enroll, the contract takes away your freedom, and/ or puts a strain on your personal family financial health. Linfield's accounting dept. along with administration does not care about your personal situation. Their concern is that the account receivables are paid. How sad is that if your child was being bullied or a job loss, and you decided to leave the school, and a school that is Christian based cannot understand those circumstance and makes you pay either way, or takes your family through a small claims suit. As other posts state, they don't practice any type of Christian values when it come to the financial end of the tuition cost. They will take you to small claims court and other means. REGARDLESS, of your child or family as a REAL circumstance. Life is short and busy to deal with being locked in a contract like that. I suggest reviewing writing essays from different schools and you will be amazed on the large disparity in quality. Children at recess are allowed to be rough and behave in an unruly manner, Ive seen kids being dragged and pushed and pulled. They also have a high attrition rate in keeping students. Very few will stay for more that a few grade levels, due to the fact that parents see that the value, and low quality setting. They are the most expensive in the area for Private Schooling. read more

Linfield Christian School is a truly unique place with a strong sense of community. The staff and faculty have a genuine love for Jesus and the students. They do a really good job of focusing on Christ first while also offering top-notch academics, AND they manage to fit in some really fun things for the kids: The Polar Express at the Elementary School, Astro Camp at the Middle School, and Winter Mountain Retreat at the High School are just a few. Linfield truly is as good as it gets! My two kids are currently students here in the elementary school. My (almost) second grader is reading at a 4th grade + level and has been challenged and encouraged in his academics while developing into a young man of high character. My other son just finished Junior K and will start Kindergarten in the fall; the junior K classroom could not have been more loving and fun! He has a great foundation to start kindergarten and is already reading! The faculty know and love their students. It is a wonderful community to belong to! This school has good teachers but the administrators are the WORST. The office staff could care less about your child as long as they get all your money. They advertise a monthly tuition amount but add additional fees to your account every month for things your kids never receive. They call it expendable supplies and take the extra right out of your bank account. Heaven forbid you ever fall a week behind in your tuition. If you do, they block all access to grades, homework assignments and academic records. They will prevent your child from participating in all activities such as field trips and they do so in front of their peers to humiliate the child and make them the laughing stock of the school. They claim to be christians but they aren't kind and never ask for any reason they just want your money. They don't teach kindness they teach greed. Bad choice for economically challenged families. Rancho Christian is more affordable and more straight forward. And they at least teach the word of God. Linfield just wants money. Without excess cash you won't survive at this place. Wonderful, wonderful school. My sisters and I graduated from Linfield and could not have been more happy with how it prepared us for college and life in general. Study skills and emphasis on hard work developed at Linfield helped prepare me for the challenging courses I faced in my bachelors and masters degrees. The focus on Christ-centered morals helped build a foundation starting in elementary school. Teachers invest so much into the kids and the leadership is outstanding. We looked at schools all over southern California and are very happy with our choice of Linfield. The teachers are fantastic and the school really is like a family. Parents get to know each other outside of school and are involved because we plan on having our children there and being in each others' lives for many years. The student-teacher ratio is great, extra-curricular opportunities can't be beat, and academics are oustanding. If you are looking for a great college-prep Christian school, Linfield is the best choice. In response to the other review, it is sad that a family had such a difficult time but private schools operate on strict budgets which is why they are very clear in their contract that tuition must be paid regardless of attendance unless a student unenrolls by a certain date. Do not enter into a contract with any private school if you do not know you can pay the tuition. We save a year ahead of time to make sure we will have the funds :) read more

Linfield is an incredible school with an exceptional staff. Their academic record says it all. They have an awesome sports program and 9 out of 10 graduates attend college. I have had two kids at Linfield and I would do it again in a heartbeat. There is no other Christian school in the Temecula valley that comes close. I read a couple of other reviews and cracked up laughing! Both bad reviews were given from people who's children either NEVER attended the school or attended for a month or so. They also berate the school for not refunding their tuition and suggest that since they are a "Christian" institution; they shouldn't ask for any money guaranteed to them under their contract. Since WHEN is a Christian school not allowed to recover money from a deadbeat family? I have a suggestion: next time you don't want to pay for something, don't sign a contract!!! Linfield is an incredible school. The elementary school is top notch and the middle school is fantastic. The teachers really take time and really care about each and every student. All a student needs to do is just ask and the help is right there. The students really look out for and stand up for each other and show compassion and caring attitudes towards one another. My daughter has the best group of friends that she has ever had. The administration is above and beyond caring, capable and compassionate...the 3 c"s like a diamond and that's what Linfield is...a Diamond. We found the best when we came to Linfield. Im sure like anywhere, there may be a small problem here or there, or a personality conflict....but with faith and positive input and effort, anything can be solved. Those who wrote negative reviews about Linfiled, did not reach out, did not ask for help or want to make it work, because if they did, they would have had a different outcome, a different experience...you get out, what you put into it.
