Finding the right school for my son was so important to me, and I'm beyond grateful that we chose Wild Roots! He's in the Rosemary Room, and his teachers, Bree and April have been absolutely incredible--so patient, loving, and supportive as he adjusted to this new environment. His old teachers were such a blessing as well. Since he's only 2.5, it's hard being away from him for so long but it's great knowing he is in the best hands. It's coming up on a year soon since he's been there and I know he will be here for the long run. It took him a little while to warm up, but now he talks about his friends and teachers all the time, and I can see just how much he enjoys being there. I'm excited for everything else he will learn and explore. The Montessori and Reggio Emilia approach here is truly special, fostering independence, confidence, and a love for learning in such a kinesthetic and nurturing way. The classrooms are beautifully designed to encourage hands-on exploration, and the teachers take the time to understand and support each child individually. Seeing my son thrive under their care has given me so much peace of mind. He comes home and teaches me something new he has learned every day. He has been all smiles, his manners and practical life skills like cleaning up after himself around the house has been such a plus too. He enjoys it. There's also a hot lunches you can pay for that is filled with nutrition and they have pizza Fridays! How fun! One of the best parts is that he's now in the Wild Olympian sports program and music class soon, which has been amazing for his development and energy. He's having a blast learning to play and share with his classmates and I love that he's getting to build his strength, muscle memory and coordination in such an engaging way. The back yard areas are built for the most amazing outdoor imaginative play. They use mostly wood and natural materials and not a bunch of plastic wear. This makes me so happy. If you're looking for a different kind of Montessori school where your child will feel safe, supported, and truly thrive in his or her own element, I can't recommend WR enough. Both of our boys went to Wild Roots since they were a couple months old. We are close to the end of our time with them as our youngest is nearly done with their kindergarten program and will be moving to the local public school for first grade like his older brother did. When we were first looking for a daycare, we toured a few places and immediately fell in love with Wild Roots. The young children were empowered to be so independent - preparing food, using their own glasses, cutting bananas with Montessori cutlery, doing the dishes, etc. (as compared to the chaos we found at at least one other place). It was a very wholesome environment and the staff has always been great. They do all kinds of fun and educational things like learn about a different culture each week, cultivate their own garden, celebrate Holi Festival with bright colors, etc. There are also additional things you can opt to pay for such as weekly sports class, music lessons, musical performances/recitals, etc. They also put on a monthly Parent Night Out where you can drop your kid(s) for a few hours on a Friday evening and go out on a date night with your significant other. We feel Wild Roots prepared our sons very well both academically and socially. My oldest son is currently in 2nd grade at Rail Ranch Elementary and we constantly get compliments about how mature and sweet he is, his ability to work with others, etc. We credit that in strong part to our time with Wild Roots. My son has been a student here for three years. He started in preschool and now in kindergarten. It has been a wonderful experience. The Montessori learning style has been great for his confidence and independence. He has thrived ever since he came over in preschool from a daycare. All the teachers are caring and attentive as well as the administrative staff who he also adores. We LOVE Wild Roots and all the teachers. We've had our two boys there from 6 months old until our oldest turned 5. All the teachers in each class have been nice, knowledgeable, and understanding. The administration, led by Ms. Lydia and Ms. Margarita, is always available for questions or advice. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for. We always felt safe with all the staff, and the kids were well taken care of. The snacks they provide are organic and nutritious. We loved the cultural studies done weekly in the primary rooms, where the kids learned about a different country each week. They cooked or tasted something from that cuisine. The daily schedule was well-planned. Our kids were never bored. The outside playground is also fantastic. We had a tour w the school May 2022. Soon after we had a 2nd virtual tour & paid the deposit for our child. After several mo of not hearing back, called amd emailed and left vms, finally received a reapsonse that our child was still on the wait list @ #4. When i did get ahold of someone to review programs, in preparation for our child attending, too often the program/class was not available. Not enough student interest? No teacher available to run it etc. Wondering if their website falsley advertises the learning opportunities. We continued waiting. We were/are still on the waitlist. It's now been a year or more since we paid to get on the waitlist. No calls or messages from them. I've made at least a dozen attempts for a status update and have received no response from the school. Ie texted, called, emailed, left vms etc At this pt, have waisted too much time. Want nothing to do w the school. Obviously enrolled our daughter elsewhere. This will be my last interaction. Would like our wasted deposit back. read more

Wild Roots is seriously the most amazing daycare/preschool ever! My toddler and baby have both gone here since they were 2.5 months old, and everyone here treats them like family. They do true Montessori style and my kids learn so much while they're at school. My toddler loves going to preschool every day and there hasn't been a single day in the 2+ years he's been going here where he hasn't wanted to go to school. The teachers treat the kids like their own and they communicate so well about what's going on with my kids and what they need. My daughter, Charlotte, just completed preschool at Wild Roots and we are so sad to say goodbye to so many wonderful teachers and friends! Miss Lidia and Miss Lindy are two that left a lasting impression on me and my family. Their communication and weekly emails made the me feel like an active participants in Charlotte's experience. The amount of love and attention they showed her was incredible. She was always eager to go to school because they always had something different and fun for the kids to learn from. I love their philosophy and felt that they really encouraged learning from nature and their environment and taught them basic skills from a Montessori approach. An additional reason I chose Wild Roots was the school days are 6 hours. Furthermore, I loved the amount of different activities and additional programs that the school offers. We had Charlotte in their sports program. I never signed her up for the music program, but I would have if she continued to go their through kindergarten! Our child was enrolled for a little over a month. The fees are astronomical- $490 to enroll, $1800/ month if your toddler needs to be there from 8 to 5. You'll be charged for every activity: Want your kid participate in this fun activity? $20 If not, your child will be "excluded." $100 to sing in the musical. They offer "hot lunch" for $250 a month - which is butter noodles and fruit. I'm sure some parents love the bohemian macabre style. But there was no sign in/out procedure so they didn't even know my child was absent for a week. My son is quiet, and we started picking up on the sense that he was being ignored. Perhaps they were once a great place for kids, but I believe they are resting on their laurels and overcharging families who desire a "holistic" natural environment. My family was treated terribly by the Lida and Brittany, the owner. I feel they discriminated against my family for the way we looked and here is why. I originally signed up to tour the school on October 6.  When I arrived at the school I was informed there was no record of my appointment, despite the fact that I received a confirmation and showed it to the front office.  i explained i took the day off work but the woman at front didn't care because she was " busy".I was rescheduled for the following day, October 7th.  On October 7th, I toured the school and was told that there was no one else interested in the infant classroom and I was not allowed to hold the spot while I consulted with my partner. On Friday October 10th in the morning I called and left a message stating that I wanted to enroll my daughter and inquiring on how to proceed. On Monday I called three times, left a voicemail, and emailed regarding my interest in securing a spot. On Tuesday I called and left one message.  At around 11:45 Lidia responded to my email stating another family was interested and she would let me know if they took the spot. I was confused by this, as I tried to secure our spot on Friday and was told there was no holding spots.  I responded to the email and called again.  On Wednesday, I called again to find out the status.  I reached out to Brittany over messenger since I still hadn't heard back.  Finally when I contacted Brittany, Lidia responded to my email and called me.  In our conversation Lidia stated that the other family was allowed to hold their spots, although I was not allowed to.  She also later admitted that the spot should have been ours. I find it frustrating that we toured first and asked to enroll our child before their tour took place yet  you gave the spot to the other family. They went against their stated policies and did everything in their power to keep my daughter from enrolling. When I reached out to the director she said they paid first, ignoring the fact I had call logs and emails showing I tried. She so ignored the fact I tried to secure it but was told they were holding the spot for something else. It felt like we were treated differently based on our appearance. Do yourself a favor and stay away. I am also reporting this discrimination to the licensing board. read more

I am not one to write a review as it is a waste of my valuable time. But I feel I need to. The daycare/school does not equally charge families. If you have RCOE they charge extra. I thought smaller classrooms more attention to my child, not the case at all. They also don't meet the needs of children with special needs. They had pizza Fridays weekly, $8 per child. If one child didn't pay for the pizza Friday, then he had to watch another child eat pizza in front of them. There was also no set curriculum for the 1st grade program either. When the pandemic hit, they took the opportunity to overcharge parents who desperately needed childcare for their children. My children were at an actual Montessori school prior to this one , and they don't come close to Montessori. I was very displeased with their service and do not recommend this provider. read more

Had an interesting experience to say the least. I was going in to sign my son up for their preschool program and left extremely disappointed by everything. First, it didn't seem very organized. The kids didn't seem happy. But to top it off there was a teacher wearing a "there are no genders" shirt. I can't believe this establishment allows their teachers to wear stuff like that. It was extremely unprofessional and highly inappropriate for a teacher to be wearing a shirt of that nature. I was almost shocked when Lidia was sort of defending her, claiming "she wouldn't push her beliefs unless the kids asked" I'm sorry, what? First of all we don't know what happens behind closed doors, second of all this isn't a social club, bar, restaurant, whatever. It's a school (glorified daycare) for young children and I can't believe they would allow that. You can have your beliefs but leave them at home. Kids should be learning kid stuff, end of story. Some 5 year old sees that and confuses her, it's just wrong man. I would never let my kids go here. Ever. read more

My children have been attending Wildroots for over 2 years now and I have nothing but positive things to say. When I moved back to Temecula I was looking desperately for a respectable childcare provider that accepted RCOE. I came across Wildroots and I was wowed by their staff and the children's learning environment. I would not consider myself a "difficult" parent but I am an advocate for my children's needs. I have came to Mrs. Lidia and Brittany numerous times with concerns and every time they have listened and worked with me to meet my children's needs. Unfortunately it was a bad experience for both me and my 4 years old son at your school and WOW we could feel that from only 3 days with 4 hours a day !! It is very sad and disappointing that I had a great belief in your school's philosophy and apparently you do not have a clear understanding of autistic children or even " holistic "learning process ! It is OK to say that you do not have experience or training to deal with children on the spectrum, however it is NOT OK to tell me on 2 different tours I scheduled with you that you have experience with autistic children and that you had some kids on the spectrum in your school !!The second tour I scheduled intentionally to inform you that my son is autistic and how is your experience with autistic children in your school. You reassured me that it is ok and you had similar cases with no issues . Actually other good respected schools told me on the phone that I need an aid for my son because they don't have the ability or staff to give my son the attention he needs. I appreciated their honest response from the beginning and didn't even need to tour with them because I know I don't wanted to try to find an aid which is not an easy process at all!! I also withdrew my son from another school when you called me because you were the first on my list !! My son cried for 3 hours at night of the third day with your school My child does not cry and sleep very well. My son was telling me in his own way of communication that he was not happy and not treated well at your school . The teacher Nikki didn't try to make any eye contact with me on third day of school in morning and didn't talk to me at all on second day instead she kept letting Lidia the manager call me everyday and tell me about all the "bad stuff" that my son did like messing up his food and not cleaning or like running to playground because he wanted to play outside ! My son is not aggressive in any way and if you encountered anything like that then to be honest with you this tells me a lot about how he feels about your staff and your school . My son is involved with so many activities and attended preschool for the whole last academic year. I never encountered what you guys reported on the first three days of his attendance ! Having a two weeks trial is for sure inhumane and rude thing to say and write in your policy to any parent regardless if their child is neurotypical or special need or autistic ! Are you saying that if the child is not a good child you will terminate him!?? Is this ethical ?! Not sure if it is legal or have any discrimination bias in it ?!! Are you even a parent ? Do you hear what you are saying in this 2 weeks trial ? Lots of kids even neurotypical will need way more than 2 weeks to adjust to a new environment!! So this is my feedback and I shared it with the mothers and families I know . My husband and I went to tour the school and someone let us in guessing it was another parent. We waited in the lobby for over 30mins. No one came out to check if there was anyone there. This lead me to think about the safety of our children. Then a lady came out one of the classrooms claiming she was the administrator of the school. She was very unprofessional and rude. She had a bad attitude and try to turn us away. I don't think it's a safe environment. Not sure how she has a job as a secretary but I would absolutely would not bring my child to a place like this. Can't say much, if you have a child with special needs. This is not the place to take him, at first the staff will try to convince you that they are fit to handle a child with Splinter skills, echolali, etc., But after 3 months you will notice the change in the staff's attitude, and will let you know its too much for them. After you had spent a couple thousand dollars, which its not the case. But the main thing is for your child to be in a happy environment and well taken care of. My son attended Wild Roots for a year and a half. The beginning was great and we loved his teachers and classroom. Staffing issues hit and I believe my son suffered from the turnover and lack of attention to his needs and the transition. I felt that I had to bring the admin attention to his needs and they responded. He was transitioned to a class that more stable and the curriculum seemed to be what he needed. However, after a couple of months he did not want to go to school. It was a daily battle to get him to go and he was very cranky and agitated. We decided to remove him from school and his attitude changed drastically. Overall, the school is quite beautiful and there are teachers that are exceptional (Miss Emily and Miss Araceli). The atmosphere was just a too sterile for us. Also, our son was sick nearly twice a month. Since leaving Wild Roots he has not been sick (as of June it's been 4-5 months)! read more

My daughter has been going here for about a year and a half and has grown so much in skills, confidence and language. She is 2.5 years old and can cut with real scissors, help prepare food for her friends, participates in music lessons and loves the art and sports they offer daily. When I toured other daycares, I found the rooms and environment to be jarring, even for me. Every space filled with bright colors, an overwhelming amount of activities, and not enough time to allow children to be independent. With Wild Roots, their atmosphere is the opposite - activities for the children to choose from are laid out in a way that encourages independence and confidence and their calming and well designed classrooms encourage children to take time for themselves in thoughtfully placed reading nooks, painting corners, or other designated spaces. I am a parent at WR and am utilizing RCOE to aid in the cost of care for my children. Both RCOE and Wr have been extremely helpful and transparent in the process. I am given my monthly statements and there are no extra charges per month than when I was paying previously. I don't want the negative RCOE review to sway the opinions of potential parents because I don't believe this is the case. After all the recent changes in the public school system, we were looking for a school that could provide a healthy learning environment for our 3 kids. We have 2 in 2nd and 1 in 4th grade and had heard about this school from a cousin that lived near it. We made an appointment mid year desperate for our kids to have a sense of normalcy in a school setting. They only had 2 spots remaining, but made room to accommodate the entire family!! After a few days I could see a difference in our kids overall mood. They were happy to be back in school and learning new things. Wild roots not only taught academics, but life skills. Sharing, caring for others, gardening, food prep, washing dishes, the importance of washing hands and picking up after yourself, Science, math, reading, writing, art, music, singing and vocals, sports and PE... They had it all!! The teachers in the Bamboo room were excellent and always had fun and engaging things for the kids to do. As pretty as the facility is I wanted more education and curriculum for my son. The children there are all playing, but not seeming to interact/engage as much as the children do where I chose to take my son. Also, the lack of celebration for fun holidays and dress up (such as holloween) seemed a bit too adult and drab for me. I want my son to learn while also being able to have fun. To each his own, but this is my honest opinion. There are so many things that I love about Wild Roots. First and foremost, my daughter is so happy here. She started when she was 18 months old and has worked her way up through all of the different classrooms (she is currently in the Oak Room). She attends full time and there are many days where she still doesn't want to leave at pick up time. The teachers are amazing. They are well-educated in early childhood development and it shows. They are kind, patient and nurturing. They are pros at potty-training! Communication is excellent and they always make time for questions or concerns. The environment is very serene and beautiful. The layout and setup of each room is carefully considered and the outdoor space is great. There is not just a collection of random toys and materials. Everything has a purpose. I love the blend of educational philosophies. Although it's not a traditional academic (teacher-directed) program, my daughter is definitely learning traditional preschool subjects (numbers, letters and writing, geography, science, etc.). I could also go on and on about the various other work and activities she does at school (Tai Chi, yoga, music, art, gardening, etc.). Importantly though, she has fun and is learning so many practical life skills that help her feel independent and confident. My hope was that my children would get to spend some time being children and exploring their own brains and thoughts, before adults prematurely projected concepts like holidays, grades, prizes, etc. Wild Roots delivers. I see children given the freedom to be themselves, in a social setting, while also getting an opportunity to learn with the various tools and activities available. The outdoor spaces are wonderful, not your average plastic playground. My husband and I toured one other school before choosing Wild Roots. The environment was night and day different. The first school we visited was primarily indoors, with an onslaught of colors on the walls, every space filled by numbers, letters and stimulation, music constantly playing, bright lights everywhere. Wild Roots, in contrast, is so peacefully designed and decorated that I myself wouldn't mind spending a day there. I also don't know any other place my two year old can eat on real dishes and drink from real glasses. I wouldn't even let him do that at home. But Wild Roots is cool like that. They treat kids as capable. Finally, although my 4 y.o. son is an introvert and needed a couple of months to adjust, he now absolutely loves going to school and always comes home with a smile on his face. There is one word that comes to mind when I think of this school: JOY! My daughter was so happy being there. After a difficult time (my daughters painful surgery, family difficulties, and moving to Temecula CA) we were worried about finding the right school, specially because she had been in a Montessori school since she was 2. She had been through so much, we wanted to make a smooth transition for her finding a holistic learning school similar to what she was used to. So we found Wildroots! As soon as you walk in you can feel the love for the children. My daughter wanted to stay the day we visited (she was 5). One of the most important things for us is that their approach to learning would maintain that little sparkle and thirst for knowledge that kids naturally have. Once she started, she was very engaged in learning, and since their program is hands on, she just thrived! We felt welcomed to this city by the embrace of this loving school. My child arrived and left each day joyful. Learning was relevant for her and we noticed her mental and emotional growth everyday at home. We felt that every aspect of our childs development was carefully nurtured. This gave us a sense of peace and trust since kids spend so many hours at school. Now that they have opened elementary with the Acton Academy program (wich brought me to happy tears just to hear their approach), I am so excited! it really gives me hope and a sense of trust that our kiddos will be ok in these divisive times. My son has been going here since he was a little over 2 years old. We adore all the staff members and my son has made wonderful friends over the years! Wild Roots treats everyone like family, you are always greeted by the friendly staff at every drop off and pick up. I never have to worry about my son when he is in their care because I know he is safe and sound. He has so much fun in the art studio, learning tai chi, and learning important fundamentals during their "work periods". When the children have their work period this is free play in the classroom, to the kids all the activities provided seem like fun games and toys as they're pulling them off the shelves, but each one is teaching them something important. Whether it's fine tuning their motor skills, recognizing letters and numbers, or matching animals to their location (air, water, or land etc). So much care and detail is always put into every activity and special event provided. Each staff member truly has an overflowing heart for all of our children. Time had flown by and now my son is beginning Kindergarten at Wild Roots and we are excited for another amazing year! I found this school and loved it from the get go. My sons teachers were wonderful for the first year we attended. In our second year and with a new teacher my son actually started to dread going every morning. And regress in skills and potty training. I thought it was just a phase but more and more warning signs told me it was the new classroom. We were approached by staff that my son was cold to other students and mean. Which knowing my son was completely out of character. We made the decision to hastily leave and try a different environment. We changed schools and my son has never been happier. And has yet to receive a bad report of behavior and has a million friends. I am not here to trash the center or the staff. I do think they are a great school and have the best of intentions for their students but some kids learn more efficiently in a different environment. read more

I couldn't be happier with this school. We've been there for 2 years now, and I wish they could just stay forever. I'm so grateful to live in the area so my kids can go to school here, I consider it a major blessing. For us, the best part is that it's holistic, nurturing, safe, and supportive. We love the way they give the children space to learn through individuality. We love the natural elements and the natural, comforting environment. I love that there are no plastic toys. We love the teachers and staff, and my kids do too. We also have enjoyed the extra curricular activities like the music program and the Friday night parties so the parents get a night out. Some have said it's not challenging enough, but I disagree. My daughter went through the TK program and she's already reading full books by the end, and comes home with really interesting facts about all kinds of cultures. I consider it perfectly challenging while still being supportive of growth, emotional intelligence, and play. We've also loved the field trips! The staff, especially Ms Tanya, has been so accommodating to us. She always answers all of my calls and emails, and is very willing to accommodate to my special requests. The very few issues we've ever had have always been promptly and thoroughly addressed. If there were anything I wish would be different, perhaps maybe go deeper into learning other languages, but they are introduced. As a teacher as well as a parent, finding the right school for our son was a top priority. From the first tour I took with Jen, I knew Wild Roots was perfect for him. Ms. Brittany has gone above and beyond in finding a staff that is truly invested in the children they care for. Teaching preschool-aged children is no easy task, but these women make it look effortless. Our son loves to be at school and is thriving in the environment provided by Wild Roots. Special thanks to Ms. Lidia for helping our son learn how to read (at 3!), to Ms. Danielle for the wonderful piano lessons and relating to him on a level that makes him feel truly "heard", and to Ms. Paula for being his "best teacher in the city." This place is amazing, i would give it 6 stars if I could. I am so glad that I found such a caring and nurturing environment in which my daughter can play, have fun, and learn so much. The teachers are really wonderful with the kids and clearly love what they do. My daughter cannot wait to go to school everyday and I am so happy with all of the ways in which she is learning and growing. read more
