Dr. Bahrami then stated that when I was there yesterday, he never said they accepted my insurance, they only said they are a provider, and that I would have to pay more out of pocket because I have private pay. He then said, so as a courtesy , their practice is to give $145 credit to patients that are covered by insurance that they do not accept. HOW DOES THAT EVEN MAKE SENSE???? DOESN'T THAT MEAN THEY DON'T ACCEPT MY INSURANCE? Why would you itemize on an estimate that $290 would be covered by my insurance if they really don't ? Why would you present everything to me as if my insurance does cover a portion when in actuality they aren't covering anything? SCAM SCAM SCAM !!! Back looking at the detailed receipt, it looks like what they did was, charge me double the price for everything, then disguised a 10% discount on the total procedure and itemized it at "covered by insurance", so essentially I was treated as a cash patient and mislead into believing this was covered partially by insurance.
