Tried to sell me a $2,200 complete implant replacement after making what can only be described as a half- no, quarter-hearted effort at placing the crown back on the post. I mean literally, he looked at it, touched the post, and said, "Doesn't fit" without doing any inspection or even cleaning of the abutment and crown. It was incredulous. Went home and reseated it myself for $10. Other honorable mentions: 1. A $50 fee for being *10* minutes late? And you want my SSN and employment now? 2. A "savings plan" (red flag) that, for $300 a year gives 25% off all dental work. How are the prices, then? Approximately 20% higher than the median price for dental work in the area. So, pay $300 out of pocket to bring the prices back to reality. So you don't want to do a simple procedure. OK. But selling someone an engine when all they need is an oil change-- someone is going to fall for this and I find that unconscionable. read more

To start off, I've only been to "dental franchises" and spent a good bit of time researching for a local practice that actually cares about their patients health. Making an appointment was quick and easy. Upon entering the dentistry, the lobby was very comforting and neat. The front staff are quick to be helpful and courteous from entering and leaving. My hygienist walked me through the building and I was astonished at the design and floor plan. The technology are modern and everything is amazingly clean. Once I was seated, my hygienist explained everything to and was helpful from from start to end. Doctor Shyn is also knowledgeable and assured that my teeth are good to go. All and all, the new location is amazing and the all the staff were professional, courteous and made me feel at home. I would 120% recommend Link Dental Care to my family and friends! read more

From my first visit to Dr. Shyn, I knew that he was possibly the best dentist I've ever been to, but today he went above and beyond. To put it simply, I had a dental emergency, and even though he needed to prepare catch a flight and was not supposed to come into work, he made a special trip to the office for an early morning visit. He had the option of arranging a visit with another dentist, but instead he went out of way to take care of me an his own inconvenience. Way beyond any expectation! Other visits to Dr. Shyn also proved his high standard of quality. My previous three dentists were letting things go that needed to be addressed, and I was left ill-informed and at risk. I believe dr recommendations are the most important! Probably more important than food! (Gasp) I did extensive research on a dentist and came up with Dr. Shyn. He worked me in rather quickly. His mother Alicia (sorry if my spelling is wrong) works the front desk and she's a hoot and definitely has everyone in line. She is the backbone to this office. I really enjoy speaking with her when I'm there. Dawn is the other familiar friendly front and back office staff member there. She's got to be the nicest person ever. Dr. Shyn is young and eager to solve any and all issues. I left an exclusive dentist in Marietta and came her with some issues from his work. I've seen Dr. Shyn a few times and he has always been able to help me find a solution to my problems. I'm extremely petrified of being at the dentist but he's so kind, funny and reassuring. He is not stuffy and very relatable (which I like the most!) We are self pay and believe his pricing are more than fair. His schedule isn't hard to get onto and they also offered an opening for a cleaning quickly. I was impressed! So this place is tucked a little in the office complex to the right hand corner. Go into the walk way and it's the first door on the right. Rest assure you are in GREAT hands. Another thing I love about this doc is that he doesn't look for ways to upcharge you! He went over and beyond to help me out with something and didn't ask for a payment. That's the doc that I'm going to stick by! My wife and I had two separate horrible experiences with the front office. The dentistry is fine and we liked going here. But, the way the front office treated us, we are leaving the practice after several years of being patients. My ordeal started when the front office scheduled an appointment for me without my permission and then threatened me with a fee if I did not cancel or show up in time. I was floored and explained to them that I never booked an appointment. The front office tried to blame my wife, who also never booked an appointment for me. Then, six months later, the front office cancelled my wife's appointment out of the blue because they claimed she didn't call back and confirm an appointment. However, she left a VM on Saturday clearly stating she was going to be at the appointment on Tuesday. Although the office recording stated they get the VMs, apparently the front office did not listen to the recording before they cancelled on a Monday. How can we trust a dentist office with this kind of business practice? read more

I don't think he works with a partner - which is fine. I've been to his office twice, and both times, the staff have been EXTREMELY friendly and open. As there was a mistake with my original appointment, Doc Shyn still took the time to meet with me, take a look at my teeth, do the x-rays and discuss next steps with me. I even ended up with a referral since I still haven't had my wisdom teeth pulled. Despite a bad first beginning, I didn't have any trepidations going in the 2nd time. Of course, I LOVE going to the dentist...so there's always that to consider. The new office manager seems significantly more thorough & organized than the last one. Hopefully things continue to work out and they grow further. read more

I've been coming to this dental office for 17 years, and have nothing but good things to say. 3 or 4 years ago Dr. Shyn took over the practice from Dr. McCanless when he retired. Dr. McCanless spent months talking with dentists, looking for the best fit in someone to take over the practice, someone who shared his level of care & commitment to peoples' oral care. As much as I loved having Dr. McCanless as my dentist, & dreaded the thought of him retiring, he could not have found a better person to take over the practice. Dr. Shyn is professional, meticulous, is easy to talk to, and KNOWS HIS STUFF. And he has incorporated more high-tech imaging & procedures. He's definitely up on the latest technology. After a few visits, I knew there was no need for me to look for another practice. You will most likely spend more time with your hygienist than with your dentist, so it's important to have a great hygienist as well. Christy's been my hygienist for a long time. She's the best in her field, HANDS DOWN. I know, since I've had quite a few hygienists work on my teeth over the years. Christy is a delight to talk to, and simply awesome at what she does. The receptionists at the front desk are very friendly, & very efficient at keeping appointments & everything organized. Email or text confirmations a week prior to your appointments is a blessing.
