I had a very negative experience with the manager at this restaurant on the evening of 9/5/26…read more I came in to pick up an order, only to find out that a delivery driver had already picked it up. I was immediately told that this was a "customer problem" and not the restaurant's responsibility. I found that statement to be very offensive and dismissive. I explained that I understand very well how Uber and DoorDash work and that when orders are handed to drivers without verifying the pickup, it creates an opportunity for orders to be stolen. In fact, TWO separate orders were picked up by the same driver. That raises a serious concern about how orders are being verified before they are handed out. Rather than listening to what I was explaining, the manager became extremely rude and spoke to me in a condescending and disrespectful manner. He told me he didn't need to hear it, got in my face, and told me to leave while smiling and giving me a dismissive little wave goodbye. I was not disrespectful; I was very direct while trying to explain the situation and why this happens. Being treated this way in front of other customers and staff was extremely hurtful and humiliating. Regardless of who ultimately loses money from a stolen order, everyone is affected: the customer, the restaurant, Uber/DoorDash, and the legitimate driver who arrives to pick up the order. This also hurts honest delivery drivers who take their jobs seriously and do the right thing. Drivers like myself rely on restaurants to properly verify orders so that when we arrive to pick up a customer's already-paid-for order, we aren't blamed for something another driver did. We should not be treated as though we are all part of the problem simply because we work through a delivery platform. I have never had an issue with this restaurant before, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Drivers are also customers of your business and play a role in bringing business to your restaurant. A manager should be able to handle a situation like this without becoming confrontational with someone who is simply trying to explain what happened. A customer is a customer, regardless of whether they are dining inside the restaurant, ordering through an app, or having their food delivered. A delivery customer is not beneath you and should never be treated as though they are less important. Because of the way I was treated, I will not be picking up any personal food orders or deliveries from this restaurant again, and I will not be recommending it to anyone. Businesses depend on customers and delivery drivers, and the way people are treated can affect whether they choose to return. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from that will treat customers and drivers with respect at all times. Completely unacceptable!

When I went back to pick up the food, the place was far busier, almost every seat was taken, and I had switched out kids in the baby carrier. People were just as friendly even though it was noticeably crowded. It had only been 15 minutes, but the food was ready and packed - and boy was it GOOD!! We got the Irish Nachos and Pub Poutine so we could try a few Irish specialties that also had classic elements to them (shepherds pie and beer cheese). The Irish Nachos were absolutely incredible! It is house-made potato chips topped with shepherds pie and beer cheese. Some of the best food we've ever had in Siesta Key and by far the best shepherd's pie I've ever had - and I've been to Ireland. The Pub Poutine was also really tasty! It is house-made French fries topped with corned beef and beer cheese. Again, everything was fresh, made in-house, and a big hit with our whole family!
