Pleasantly surprised by this place! We've been coming to Siesta Key every summer for 8 years and always stay on the south end of the island right near this place. But it wasn't until this last visit that we even realized this place existed - and we are SO glad we did! :) Tucked in the middle of a small and unassuming shopping center, the outside is very dark which definitely helps with the authentic Irish Pub feel. Once you open the door, it's smaller place, with around 10-15 small tables, a bar straight ahead, and a small area for local performers on the left up against the outside window (because of the dark ambiance, its hard to even tell the back is glass. The staff was helpful and attentive. We were going for a walk, but I wanted to see the menu, so I popped in to grab one with one of my daughters in the baby carrier. There were 2 performers and a few tables of people and everyone smiled and made comments about her, and I grabbed a menu and left. During the walk, I called to order our food, and the bartender on the phone was very helpful. He happily accommodated getting all of the sauces on the side and even offered some things to be separated that I didn't think about (since I mentioned we would be walking home with the food). When I went back to pick up the food, the place was far busier, almost every seat was taken, and I had switched out kids in the baby carrier. People were just as friendly even though it was noticeably crowded. It had only been 15 minutes, but the food was ready and packed - and boy was it GOOD!! We got the Irish Nachos and Pub Poutine so we could try a few Irish specialties that also had classic elements to them (shepherds pie and beer cheese). The Irish Nachos were absolutely incredible! It is house-made potato chips topped with shepherds pie and beer cheese. Some of the best food we've ever had in Siesta Key and by far the best shepherd's pie I've ever had - and I've been to Ireland. The Pub Poutine was also really tasty! It is house-made French fries topped with corned beef and beer cheese. Again, everything was fresh, made in-house, and a big hit with our whole family! I'm so glad we finally stumbled on this place and can't wait to come back again next year! read more

I just happened to meet the owner of this restaurant somewhere else. I like Irish food and they serve poutine.. Come to find out the owner is the chef so why not support that restaurant. Service was great the owner is very personable with diners. The bartender server there gave a good greeting it's an Irish nostalgic pub and they also had music a live two man band which was fun to listen to and they interacted with the diners. I had the poutine no surprise there right and me lady got the muscles the muscles were delicious some of the best I've had in the area the poutine I like my corn beef shredded preferably but regardless of that the poutine was good we will definitely go back I want to try that corned beef and cabbage it's a quaint place and I suggest that you go have a pint listen to some music get something to eat feel that Irish atmosphere take some pictures and then tell your friends and family you went to Ireland sounds like a plan anywho we will be going back for more read more

A very cool Irish bar near the beach. Walked in to hear some Irish and other tunes by an acoustic pair and enjoy a couple Guinness. Friendly service and decently priced. It was a nice little spot to spend a bit of time having some sips. read more

People were nice and the food was ok. They only have water, wine and beer to drink no whiskey or other hard liquor. If you need the restroom you have to get a key and walk several businesses down. It's a poor knockoff of a real pub. read more

Went to Shebeen on a Saturday evening with two other people. It was really dark and hot inside. The AC must've been out, so we sat on the patio. The place was dead. Only 2 other people in there. There was no band playing that night, which was disappointing for a Saturday. We all ordered the Rueben with fries. Everything came out burnt. I asked for some Tabasco sauce, and the server brings me this dirty old bottle with water in it. The server asked how the food was. I told him it wasn't very good, the sandwiches are black and the fries are burnt but they're soggy, so they can't be fresh. He just said ok, and walked away. He didn't care or offer to remake the food. He had no personality at all. I used to go to the old location Pub 32 all the time. I loved that place, so I thought this would be the same. I'm from a place in New York that had plenty of beautiful authentic Irish pubs, so I was kind of sad when I moved here to find that Pub 32 was the only place that felt like home. The owners have since opened the Shebeen on Siesta Key, and it is truly the real deal. It's small in size, but the service is always friendly, and the food is great as well. Hoping they stick around because it's the best place for the craic I've found south of Kitty Hoynes in Syracuse! read more

No liquor. Beer and wine only. I wanted Jameson. My food was delicious however the chips were so salty and my corn beef was thick cut. I'm just used to shaved non fatty pieces. Great service and the music was good too. The bathroom situation sucks. No body is responsible for cleaning and making sure it has what it needs. read more

Ate inside with live music. Drank strongbow and Kilkenny. Ate bangers and mash, pub burger and fries, salmon with tropical salsa. Rice with salmon was over cooked so was fixed with an order of fries. Well, it does not bring me joy leaving this review. Went there tonight after the first time in a long time. Wanted to support locals but this was extremely disappointing to us. The waitress first of all was exceptional and bent over backwards for us. The fish and chips were not what we had ever experienced when the prior owners had it. Nobody seemed to know what "mushy peas" are which is a traditional side with fish and chips in Britain and Ireland. I then decided to try the shepherds pie. I have no idea what that was but I couldn't find any mashed potato on top! It was all meat and a slither of melted cheese on top! I showed them what a shepherds pie is supposed to look like, but nobody cared! I was told it's the owner's recipe. Clearly not of British or Irish descent! It was AWFUL!! Then I decided to try the leek and mushroom croquettes. Well, the last time I checked, croquettes were made with breadcrumbs NOT batter!! Until someone gets their menu to reflect how this food should be, we for one will NOT be going back! The only reason I give it 2 stars is because the waitress was wonderful! The guy Chris behind the bar was very defensive to me! Americans who have never had a real shepherds pie would never know, but since this is on Siesta key and a tourist area, it would be highly recommended you get the right recipes when advertising these foods! read more

The food, service, decor, and live music were all superb. The fish and chips rivaled what we've eaten in the UK and Ireland. The beer cheese dip and pretzels are addicting. We'll be back! read more
