Ask them to omit souce if you can't take it. Shrimp tempura was okay, 4 out of 5. Expensive. Vegetable tempura comes with the shrimp tempura 4 out of 5 Expensive. Miss: Price and Proportion. I don't order Chinese food here. You might as well go across the street to Peking House for that. Ordered a simple fried chicken wings. Received only 3 small wings. Other places they give you 4 big ones. Lo mein isn't anything to write home about. I ordered a large rice they sent me home with 2 small plastic container of rice. Lin's might be my new local go-to for pan-Asian cuisine in North Bronx! My takeout order was ready for pick up within minutes, the staff was friendly, and everything was packaged perfectly. The inside was clean and spacious when I stepped in with a nice, casual atmosphere when I stepped in. As for the food, everything tasted fresh, delicious, and perfectly satisfying! I had the chicken fried rice, the spicy crunch salmon roll, the pepper tuna avocado roll, and the shrimp tempura roll. All of the rolls tasted great-- the best one being the pepper tuna for me-- and the preparation and quality really allowed the flavors to shine. However, my favorite item turned out to be the chicken fried rice. The chicken tasted just a bit caramelized for a savory, umami-rich dish that was not at all greasy. I would definitely come back just for this fried rice! Overall, Lin's was definitely worth it with the reasonable prices justifying the portion sizes and quality of the food! read more

I ordered sushi and got the White Tuna Jalapeno Roll, Spicy Crunch Kani Roll, Fried Oyster roll, Fried Banana Tempura, Miso Soup. The miso soups was really good and the fried banana tempuras are amazing. Both came hot so it was perfect. I loved the spicy crunch Kano roll and the white tuna jalapeño roll, absolutely delicious with a dipnof soy sauce and spicy mayo. The fried oyster roll was a bit bitter. The food arrived super quick. Extremely upset since I just discovered this place blocks from me. I wanted to order one of the most expensive items--mind you it's takeout only--and they refused to give me a regular tuna roll instead of some spicy tuna roll. This was the "included" roll in a $30 sushi/sashimi combo. They wouldn't budge on a $2 surcharge for not adding spicy mayo! I have dietary restrictions and don't eat mayo. I was livid and tried to explain they were losing $30 and my business forever, even though, if I were happy with my first impression, could've netted them thousands of dollars during my living in Parkchester. The only place in the Bronx I order sushi from. I love the fact that they offer delivery through their own website which saves on Doordash/Seamless fees. They usually reach out to me if there are any issues with my order and are quick to resolve. The delivery is usually on time give or take 10 minutes and they bring it up to my apartment which is rare in the Bx (on my block at least). I haven't had any issues with the sushi so far as it's usually pretty fresh. Would recommend! read more

Very good sushi. The delivery was fast and place is clean. They have a special here two rolls for 12$ I got the California and the shrimp tempura and wow that shrimp tempura was very good. I've ordered a few times and each time the food isn't necessarily bad, but I expect better quality when ordering sushi. You're spending $10-15 on a roll, an order can get expensive QUICK so it needs to be excellent. The nori they use at Lin's is thick and chewy. They also use too much, almost double wrapping the rolls with seaweed making it a chore to chew. read more

I ordered from Lin's a couple of times and the sushi rolls had hair in them. The first time it was a small hair in one roll and the second time there were long hairs in multiple rolls... I didn't even eat the food and I spent over $100. I called them on both occasions and they were extremely rude both times- wouldn't even offer a refund or any (ANY) type of compensation. Tried this place for the first time in a Friday night, around 10ish. There really aren't a lot of good Japanese places in the Bronx, and this one was on the way. This place was empty, not a good sign. We ordered 3 rolls (2 eel and 1 shrimp) as a part of a special which also comes with miso soup for $15, and a dragon roll which was around $10 give or take a couple of dollars. We also got a Kani salad. The Kani salad was ok, I do think they should shred the lettuce so it's easier to eat with the Kani, instead they have ripped leaves which are big and chunky. The rolls were not so great, the eel didn't taste fresh, and the rolls were smaller than I thought. In the shrimp roll I could barely taste the shrimp, and the tempura batter they use is different from the batter I'm accustomed to having. It's the one that looks crumbly and textured, almost like panko but finer. Also, they don't have kikoman Japanese soy sauce for the tempuras they have Chinese soy sauce, very different taste. Despite having no one else to wait on, our waitress was no where to be found and she forgot our soup, so we had to ask for it and suddenly the waitress reappeared apologized and attentively watched our table until we were done. The whole meal was about $40 with tip. But the experience wasn't pleasant, we sat in an empty dark room watching adult swim on TV eating take out tempuras. Most of their business is take out and I can see why, they have good prices and fair quality food. I do hope that this place can up it's game, until then I'll be enjoying Japanese food in the city. If I could give this restaurant a 0 star I would. This restaurant had absolutely no professionalism. I just placed and order online and received a phone call from someone who's sounded like a 15 year old with a nasty attitude. She didn't introduce herself or tell me where she was calling from until After I asked. I didn't notice I placed the order for a lunch bento box instead of dinner. There's a difference of $7 for the price which I don't have a problem with but after noticing how rude and nasty she was I just asked for the order to be cancelled. She initiated the call with the lunch bento box ended 4 hours ago. Then after the call ended the child began prank calling me! And even put in my information into this site. Simply just don't order here. It sucks that they've lost a loyal customer and with her working there will surely lose more. read more

Sooo my sister and I ordered out from here and it was a good meal. Usually we order food and we're happy for the sustenance, but this meal SLAPPED. We finished the meal feeling satisfied. My eel cucumber was the only underrated item. The crispy duck, salmon avocado crunchy roll, and salmon crabmeat dumpling were all great. Just a warning, the salmon crabmeat dumpling is a dumpling make of sashimi salmon with real crab meat inside, and topped with caviar. If you do not enjoy sashimi/raw fish, don't order this item. I'm not fond of sashimi but I really did not mind it too much. Want to thank this establishment for tonight's meal. read more

I ordered 3 rolls and shrimp lo mein as a takeout. Each of the rolls tasted fresh and satisfying. They didn't skimp on the Wasabi paste or soy sauce like other places. It also came with a savory cup of miso soup that was flavorful and not overly salty; the perfect complement to the rolls. The lo mein was much more flavorful than the same dish from other places in the neighborhood, and there was a generous amount of shrimp. It was just a tad more greasy than I like it, however. My order was ready well ahead of the Grubhub predicted time. When I went to pick it up, the inside of the restaurant looked clean and cool. A HUGE improvement over the previous Castle Hill Diner.
