It is a nice place for family, budget friendly, close to $50 for a family of four.Food is always great quality and very consistent. Chicken, fried rice, soups, noodles, veggies, fried potatoes, and much much more. Selection is awesome if you are thinking to get something on a hungry afternoon. The service has always been fine and no complaints, they seat you pretty quickly and bring you your drinks. Ambiance again is fine, it looks clean. The buffet is usually fine and usually no problems with getting the food items you want. Today almost one entire side was empty, about five trays on one side and easily two trays on the other side. I said something to the Host and he basically blew me off. When I paid I again mentioned that a buffet is assumed to be properly stocked at 12:25 when we were eating and not waiting for food to be replenished. The Hostess/cashier said it was during a rush. I again said I knew that but they also knew it was rush time and they should have prepared for that. Sunday lunch buffet??? She then blew me off. Thank you for the stern look and no apologies for not doing the minimum expected for the buffet and when a customer brings it up. Horrible experience. Had to wait as expected. Of course not a problem but there wasn't a person taking names and when he finally showed up there was a lot of people and ones waited got shafted by the jerks that cut in line to put their names first even though people were already waiting. Even the guy working there saw us took the ones who pushed their way up to the front of the podium. I was taught not to do that. I guess I'm gonna have to be a jerk. How does a restaurant that's been around for so long so poorly run? It's always sticky. Health department probably needs to be called. Had shrimp with vegetables which tasted like the shrimp and broccoli had been boiled - no sauce - and egg fu yung which was 2 heaping mounds of crust with very little egg component. I have no idea where the bad reviews are coming from. I traveled to Bentonville on business from San Diego. Living in a major metropolitan area, and one of the more cosmopolitan areas of the country, I know what good food is. Lin's Garden is an excellent Chinese buffet. There are a ton of options -- I would like to see more vegetables, but this IS Arkansas. The lemon chicken, General Tso's chicken and coffee layer cake were the standouts. Everything I tried was good: ribs, garlic chicken, sweet/sour pork, party crab, crab rangoon. . .the real standout, was my server, Sandy. Sandy was unbelievably sweet and attentive. She was personable, chatty, and asked what had brought me to town. She kept refilling my diet Dr. Pepper like clockwork, and recommended the buffet items she thought were best. When she found out I was in the area for a job interview, she hugged me and wished me good luck. Trust me, if I get the job, I'll be back -- and I'll be bringing the husband. Quantity is not quality. There is more food than you can eat even if you took one serving of each thing. We left full but not really satisfied. My wife and I looked at each other and wondered what it was that we felt missing. It was taste. We both agreed the fried rice was good. The flavors seemed to all run together, nothing that said, that's really good. You also have to eat with the rush of the crowd or you get what's left after the rush, they don't restock so many of the choices we could have had were not there. You can't miss the big, neon-lit dragon breathing fire into the Bentonville sky. This creature marks the spot for the area's best Chinese buffet, Lin's Garden. We have a lot of buffets in the area, but this particular one is held to a higher standard than the rest. It doesn't really cost much more than the others, but here you're served fresh food that's nicely prepared, in a very good, clean setting, with kind, attentive service. After coming here, it's hard to think about eating at the other places around the area, where you'd usually get a bar with 12 kinds of lukewarm/old meat/veg selections, suspect sushi, and short, snippy service. The selection is massive at Lin's. They have all the buffet staples like General Tso's, Lo Mein, and Sweet and Sour Everything. I like some of the more uncommon offerings you'll find here: Mongolian Beef (with beautifully tender meat cuts), Lemon Chicken, Korean Chicken (lots of ground pepper!) and the very popular Shredded Pork, which always seems to run out. I've eaten here so many times since they've opened, but I still haven't tried everything they offer. The big, clean dining room with nice tables and booths surrounds the large, well-lit buffet bar area. It's nicely organized to deal with the somewhat high dinner time traffic they get. The place is huge, so there's seating for anyone that wants good Chinese food. I've taken large groups of visitors and they've never had a problem seating them. Some of those visitors still talk about how much they liked Lin's! During one visit a few years back I noticed a familiar face surrounded by an entourage, coming back from the buffet bar: Helen Walton. Ugh and gross! This has got to be the WORST Chinese food I've ever eaten and even more so, unappealing to look at. Here I am - stuck, cause my in-laws love this place. I don't get it. Unfilled food trays, caked on leftover foods stuck to the bottom of trays, gummed over sauces or worse yet, sauces which formed a thin layer of congealed film on top, slimy beef, stale donuts, under-cooked shrimp, globs of canned pudding (vanilla and chocolate). I have normally had good experiences at this restaurant. Tonight, I came into the restaurant at 7:30 PM. Suffice it to say the buffet was well picked over, cold and dry. When I expressed my displeasure to the management, they shared that they do not refresh the buffet after 8 PM. Since I was there before 7:40 PM on a Summers day, you would think my request and desire was reasonable. Clearly the management did not agree with me. Their response was a casual "sorry." I'm sorry to post such an unfavorable review. The restaurant may be better from 5 to 6:30 PM, but I would avoid this restaurant like the plague any time after 7 PM. This restaurant is just too expensive to bring the family and have a terrible experience. Came here for a date night and found hair in the food, entrees weren't hot... Barely even warm. Spaghetti were used for the "Lo mein" noodles and everything is drenched in overly syrupy sauce, or the breading is mushy because it has absorbed the syrup. Nothing Asian about this place. Not impressed at all. Which was a shame because we were excited to try it as the parking always full and the design of the restaurant looks like an authentic Chinese restaurant. Not so much. Typical Chinese buffet. Lots of over fried food in sauce. Most of the chicken was so over cooked it was hard to chew and tasted of oil. It was apparent that the food had been sitting for a while and if it should have been crispy it was soggy. If it was supposed to be hot it was cold and if it was supposed to be cold it was warm. I barely ate anything as after a bite of what was supposed to be chicken I lost my appetite. Would not recommend and would not return. read more

This place used to be really good. It was our favorite Asian restaurant when it was in Fort Smith. Tried it once in Bentonville and it was a great but went a second time and it was awful. The food tasted horrible. Tried multiple dishes and all the meat tasted old and soggy. One of the dishes another customer was guarding to ensure no one took food from it because it was full of hair. Not one but multiple. Once we saw that, we left without finishing eating. Won't be able to try again after this experience. read more

The buffet has very few vegetables dishes, broccoli in some and sauteed green beans and that's about it. I've eaten there several times and it seems to be going down hill. Lin's Garden doesn't serve the best Chinese food I've ever had, but I do think it's above average for the area. The food is pretty typical Chinese American - General Tso's, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, the usual. There are also a few dishes I haven't had elsewhere. Last night I had Korean Chicken and thought it was quite tasty. There's a wide variety although I agree that there aren't many options for a vegetarian. Nearly all cooked dishes contain meat or seafood. While not all of the dishes are to my liking, that's just due to preference and not a lack of quality in the food. Each item is well prepared, hot, and seasoned. I thought that the General Tso's was too sweet and not spicy enough, for example, but it wasn't soggy or greasy. There are also several American items typical of Chinese buffets that appeal to kids or those who just don't like Chinese but got stuck visiting - chicken nuggets, spaghetti, garlic bread, that kind of thing. I haven't tried any of it but it looks fine. Seating is nothing fancy but comfortable enough. Service tends to be very friendly and efficient. We've been here several times, sometimes it's been super busy and sometimes it's been nearly dead, and we have not seen a decline in quality when it is slow. They are very good about refreshing the food on the buffet. read more

I found this place to be above average compare to other Chinese restaurants. Has your typical foods that you usually get plus more. One of my favorite Chinese restaurants and the waiters have always been nice. Take the whole family and it does add up and for a Saturday night it is pretty full. Lin's Garden is the only buffet in the area and there is not alot of love given to this food. What Chinese buffet doesn't have cashew chicken and when did General Tso become a sweet neon red dish?? The quality of food is so poor you walk away feeling ill and wake up the next morning with your joints cramped up. Not good ingredients and tons of shortcuts! For a dinner buffet costing $14.00 per person with drink, this does not sound like the best choice to make again. Waitress and host were very pleasant. The variety is ridiculous, the sushi is pretty damn good, the place is clean and the service is great. They have a very large selection of chinese items and also things like spagetti, garlic bread, and fries (for example) for picky people. Lin's makes my lunch rotation every few weeks or so. It's the kind of place that has enough variety to where you don't end up eating the same meal each time, unless you want to.
