He had completed the exact same project for my neighbor who stated "Came out the next day and pulled a EZpermit from the City of Miami. Total cost was $2300." Upon entering my building the guy says he doesn't have a permit, didn't know he needed a permit, and I had to pay him an additional $650 for the permit. I said no. I can't afford that. We argue back and forth and he says he's going to charge me more if he has to leave and come back. Mind you, he already had $1,055 of my deposit so I would have lost that. I relentlessly said an absolutely not. The guy does the job anyway, says "I'm going the extra mile here. Hopefully you'll appreciate it in the end." Claims he's doing me a favor by charging me $50 less. So my $2100 original quote becomes $2675. He claims he didn't remember doing my Neighbors project continues with excuse and excuse why he is owed the extra money for the permit. This is BAD BUSINESS! Do not go to these people. I can't believe someone would do this and with a smile on their face. Pitiful. **Long story short-this business did not have the proper permit and then charged me an additional $565 for their own mistake. Period. Words and lengthy replies are merely word salad to try to justify the main problem; charging me $565 for your mistake. **Update: This guy has relentlessly called, messaged, and sent me lengthy voice notes stating how he "hopes he never has to work with a client like me again." Not only did I pay for this guys mistake but now I'm reminded of how his inappropriate male toxicity has been implemented to intimidate his clients in to paying for his unethical business practices.

What a mess! Who knew what lurked below the surface?????? Fortunately, Acosta Plumbing answered my frantic phone call. AP Office manager Nicole responded with concerned understanding of the [emergency] situation. Frank Acosta himself was at my home within an hour to assess the issue with my building's management and engineer. Everyone got 'on the same page' to resolve the problem and a schedule was implemented. Acosta Plumbing took care of everything INCLUDING the Permit process. We each had jobs to do and accomplish. My job between Christmas and the first week post-New Year's was to find replacement tile for the shower base which did not require 10-12 weeks delivery along with possible Tariffs and delays AND would coordinate with the rest of the bathroom design. During the holidays, many business are closed. A challenge, indeed. Plus I did not want to inconvenience my neighbor for longer than absolutely necessary. Deya on dispatch was a pleasure to speak to and got a plumber out ASAP. Octavio arrived at my home a few minutes before the scheduled time and immediately identified the problem. He was able to get a replacement piece and walked us through the whole process before installing. While here, he discovered our faucet head was also damaged, so he did some troubleshooting to make sure we had running water while advising us on what to buy to fix it on our own. I was given the choice of three estimates which were way out of my price range and told the guy would need to call somebody else to get another estimate. The estimates were anywhere from the cheapest of $1500. Approx to over $3000. I was totally shocked as my unit is not that old and was told that the motherboard was not sending signals to the compressor to turn on and if they replace the motherboard, it still may not send the signal and then I would have to replace my compressor also. I called another company that was also recommended to me and a technician within 10 minutes found the problem to be a $240 capacitor, which was changed in less than a half an hour and I had air again!! I can't imagine a company trying to rip off somebody buy so much money and completely miss diagnosing, a simple problem and trying and turning it into a huge disaster! I would never recommend this company. They are completely dishonest or maybe it was just the person they sent here.

Your requests were irrational, unrealistic, and irresponsible. ​You literally asked me to take photos of my two toilets. When I stated that I did not see how taking photos of the toilets would fix a main line clog, your response was even more unreasonable. You told me that you did not want photos of the toilets themselves; instead, you wanted me--a non-plumber--to remove the toilets and take photographs of the sewage pipes. At that point, I realized the conversation was going nowhere and ended the call.
