Any temporary diversion from the busy life of a college student is not hard to digest. I just find it so unusual to resort to this type of diversion when everyone has a cellphone or a P.C. and the many relaxation areas on the university. There's a lot of comic books in here. The most I've ever seen under one roof. It's also located one short city block from Gardner Webb. It was early when I arrived. Didn't see any customers.

Comics, cards, figurines, Pops, Star Wars collectibles, Star Trek collectibles, Hot Wheels, etc. I would not have believed the huge stocks from the outside. Plus some oversized Star Wars items: R2D2, a Droid, and a diorama of Dogabah. These guys are fans first and retailers second. Had a nice conversation about comics and left them with information on checking out my collection and possible deals. They were friendly and knowledgeable and willing to help. Check them out! Just leave enough time to browse around and maybe find that one item you have been looking for.

So many unique comics, cards, gift items and old record albums are nicely placed throughout the store. Prices vary but appear to be reasonable. Even a refrigerator with cold water and drinks starting at 99 cents was darn cheap. A must place to visit with kids who are into the above and graphic novels. Nostalgic for adults and a good place to eyeball the current value of your comic collection.

I arrived and spoke with the owner briefly, then left my books for her to check out while I browsed the store. I must say I was amazed at how well the store was laid out. Plenty of room to browse the different areas and sections. All areas clearly marked and arranged by themes. Most comic stores tend to be crammed into tight spaces and claustrophobic but this store was a pleasure to go through Nice selection of back issues and current issues, figurines, posters, graphic novels, games, and much more. And very reasonable prices too. Highly recommend if you're in the Asheville area, check it out! Oh, the very knowledgeable owner and I came to a fair deal for a dozen of my books!

Comic books aren't my strong suit! I read them as a child but not something I'd prefer to do even…read morenow later in life. Nevertheless, upon entry I noticed rack after rack of comic books! There's also some trade magazines and a limited number of toys. I also noticed a laid back type of vibe to this store and I like that aspect! Certainly there are comic book collectors and those who just love to read them. As a self taught student of humanity, I conclude that I saw customers from each category! A nice mix if customers!

I am strictly interested in old comics. Pre-1995. That being said, they have some decent backstock…read more I have gone thru every box they had on the floor. Be warned, they barely have anything priced. That being said, I found a few I wanted. Took them to the counter. I asked for the prices on the books I had on the counter. He proceeds to "look them up" on a monitor. Proceeds to give me a very high price. I counter offer $10 less. They wouldn't take it. I turned it down. Then the young man took the book and said, that belongs on the wall. So, I worked for them in finding that wall book. I dug thru a dozen long boxes, found a nice book, made them a reasonable counter offer and then they put it on the wall to try to make $10 more. If I wanted to pay Ebay prices, I would buy from there. I did the work they were supposed to be doing instead of sitting around talking and joking. I won't be back.
