The lines are long, but given the amount of people in there, duh, you're going to have some wait time so don't try to go the hour before the party...my bad. Overall, they do have a varied assortment of, go figure, party supplies and costumes. At less busy times, it's easier to maneuver and you can get in and out. For $25 i got a serviceable Santa outfit for Santacon. For Halloween, i got a crappy mustache that didn't stay on all that well, but they have enough props and stuff to make a decent outfit.

I came here looking to add another wig to my collection and found the store as a place to get wigs on google. The selection of wigs seemed good enough, but I felt very unwelcome by the staff. Like I was a nusciance rather than a paying customer. I believe they do fittings so if you don't know how to fit the wig or how to style it this might be a good place to try, I don't think I'll be returning though.

She was finally on the 4th trip sent home with a second wig that was too large as was the first one. The second wig was a reorder of the first one that need to be sized by a seamstress in waynesville and had to pay $30.00 for that. There's more to this debacle... Stay away from this place there are other wig places in asheville. I called The "Duchess" to find out here side of the story. She said: "because of all the cost and experience that happened with my friend she "The Duchess" had out of pocket expenses. I say if the fully trained staff at "Secrets of a Dutchess" they wouldn't have sent my 82 year old friend home with and ill fitting wig. by the way she was sent home with no info on taking care of her purchase. And buyer beware there are no tags at all on the wigs or price tags.

They also rent tuxedos so it's not just a costume shop. I thought that was really cool and good to know. I ended up renting two costumes and they were super affordable. I'm so glad that they were because normally I definitely would not have been able to get two LOL. They have some awesome and super authentic costumes. Way better quality than the bag costumes you buy from party city. But if that's your thing, they have those too! Overall, great shop! I wish they had an easier way to "see" all the costumes, like a photo or something. There were some hanging and you just couldn't tell what they were. Also, not all of the costumes had pricing so that would be a helpful addition. Definitely will patron them again though! Great service as well!

Brandon came to our house because we had a SKUNK under our house. We had lots of questions, he answered them all and told us he wanted to check the trap every weekday. He checked it every weekday and on/or about the third day he caught the SKUNK. Hw e told us there might be a second SKUNK and we asked what to do. He replied that he would reset the trap which he did every weekday for three weeks. Another SKUNK was not found but we feel sure that as Brandon told us, it either left or left and went out on the highway and was killed. Hubby and I have been married almost 53 years. We have had all types of service people in or around our home to do various things. NOBODY , and I mean NOBODY has ever done as good or as complete a job as Brandon did. If I were His supervisor I would give him a raise or at least give him an extra week off with pay. He gets the job done but is a wonderful advertisement for Thompson Brothers .
