Little black Joshua tree to remember my weekend here

Today I went randomly in here with someone who had an appointment and got a walk in to leave Joshua Tree with a travel memorial tattoo of a Joshua Tree to add to my already tattooed leg that had meaning. Tattoo was super small and super simple and turned out perfect for just what I wanted. Jennifer did my tattoo. I normally never would have done this and do a random walk in while traveling as I have a artist and shop at home I normally go to but I'm glad I was spontaneous and have a little memory of my weekend here.

I took a gamble and walked in here without an appointment and not really expecting I'd be able to be worked on right away. I got lucky and Mathew Dyson had a cancellation and fit me in within an hour. Mathew fixed me up with a very meaningful tattoo to commemorate a lost friend and I couldn't be more pleased. The shop is awesome - a feast for the eyes and super-clean. Most importantly, Mathew is a talented artist and I have no doubt the other artists are as well. I'll be back to have Mathew rework an old piece the next time I'm in town. I recommend Mathew and Liquid Tattoo to anyone looking for quality work and a good experience all around.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. We were in there a couple days ago and literally the worst tattoo of my life, I am literally embarrassed. I simply cannot recommend this place enough, the people are AMAZING and so kind, their artwork is INCREDIBLE, and they're very fast and affordable! I had planned this tattoo for months but got it very sporadically without a direct referral to check this place out, but I'm s glad I did. It means so much to me and the tattoo has also held up beautifully since then (8+ months) will probably be planning a 4-5 hour trip to JT just for my next tat, 10/10. read more

All I asked when I came in is if the shop offered piercings. It was my partners birthday and wanted a nose piercing, when we entered immediate glares from the man in the first booth. He did not engage in conversation and recommended we went to a shop in Palm Springs under his breath. If you're racist and homophobic this is the place for you. read more

I had the chance to stop by here during our friend's bachelorette wknd this past wknd . The shop was really lovely. They were able to fit all five of us in and still take the time to chat with us. Came recommended by a friend. Made an appointment for a consultation. Drove 1 hour round trip and the artist was not there. She was called and told the other artist "It was just a consultation". I waited a week for the appointment and am disappointed. Going to the other 5 star shop. The vibe was one of indifference by both artists. read more

Let me start off by saying what amazing customer service I received from the staff here. Jen was quick to respond and eager to assist with any questions, she has been super accommodating with my schedule and was able to schedule me in based on my availability. I'm not from this area and I was still treated like family from the moment I walked in. This meant a lot to me because I'm someone who is socially awkward and I get uncomfortable very easy ,the artist are very approachable and easy going. Liquid tattoo will forever be my go to. They do except walk ins and do make appointments as well. The owner Jeff and each of his Staff members are great at what they do. So go on down and see any of them. I got tattoo from Cory he did a great job and was very professional. This shop is very clean and in my opinion is the best shop in the high desert. I have been a few different shops and had to leave because I didn't even want to be in there. I have gotten two tattoos from Liquid Tattoo and have been very impressed both times. One of the best tattoo shops you'll probably find. The staff is highly talented and the owner makes sure to have the best artists taking care of you. They know much more than just the basic art of tattooing and all the staff has their own special talents to offer so that you will come out with exactly what you dreamed of having on you permanently. He didn't do the massage for the manicure OR the pedicure. this was probably the worst experience I have had at a nail salon.

I got my first Tattoo at 18 and have been searching for the right artist to do a "Disney themed Sleeve" ever since. Well April 15th a few years back before the world shut down I met that very guy! An amazing, yet humble man who's one of the most talented artists I've ever had the pleasure of working with! He's the owner of this very cozy shop. His name is Jeff Cooper. They say every artist has their strengths and their weaknesses. I'm sure he's got both. I just haven't found the weaknesses. I was the first Mickey Mouse he did! It's my favorite. If you know me you know that! He NAILED IT. He made it look effortless. He gets himself all worked up and pulls it off like an Olympic athlete time after time! I absolutely LOVE to watch him work, its so amazing. He loves what he does and it shows. Not only is he passionate for his art but also in how he takes care of his client. Always asking "you doing ok?" "You need to take a break?" He really pays attention to them. They are people that become long term clients his "Tattoo family" and he makes you feel at home. It's a great atmosphere in the shop as well. Very friendly and welcoming. Worth the drive, the wait and the $$. He's very reasonable. I am on a solo trip west, and going through a lot of personal growth. As a part of this, I really wanted to get a tattoo (or two) to remember this time in my life. I called Liquid Tattoo same day to find out if I could get in. I spoke to Jeff, the owner, who told me I could come by within the hour. It was amazing. I had read great things about Jeff, so was really excited to hear he could make room for me in the schedule. I came in, wanting to discuss and design a tattoo, still with some open questions that needed sorting. Jeff spent 3 hours with me, designing two tattoos and ensuring they were just right. He perfected the font, ensured the needle size was right, gave me options, drew the tattoo in his software - allowed me to write out the quote I wanted to use in my handwriting - printed it to ensure the font size and type was correct, the sizing was perfect etc. The experience was top notch and I was really appreciative for it, considering that a tattoo is permanent. I wasn't rushed at all and Jeff was very kind - staying far beyond his normal hours to ensure I was happy. He also handmade an arrowhead for me and attached copper and a tie so I can wear it as a necklace. Jeff rocks - can't say enough nice things. Go here for your next tattoo! read more

Amanda Lynn Overmire-Robb is wow, um not worth $1.00. I hope she loses clients. Met her nasty self in a bar and thought she was sweet & a total doll. I WAS SOOOO WRONG! I complimented her look because I thought she deserved it...... Met her husband & she told me she was a tattoo artist. I had a question about my eyebrows & this rude chick went south with the conversation. Got mean & wouldn't even let me finish what I was asking. I touched her arm in a sweet gesture kind of way (nothing aggressive or hurting her) & this bitch went off on me. "DONT TOUCH ME, get out my face, I don't appreciate you touching me!" It was beyond bizarre. Made me feel stupid. And she is a walking billboard for her business. Guess she isn't the smartest. Clearly. Um this bitch is a tattoo artist, that's all she does is touch people. WELL SHE LOST POSSIBLE BUSINESS & she WILL NOT TOUCH ME. I went to a well known shop in yucca where I was told that the tattoo I wanted in the place I wanted it would not stay. And that even though she and all her artists had that spot done for some reason I guess on me would not. Basically she gave me the blow off. So a friend of mine told me about liquid, I walked in they just explained to me that I would have to have it done twice to stay (which iv had to do with most of mine anyway). No problem Phillip did the tattoo beautifully. He has since redone it and it looks wonderful! I will never go anywhere else they are trustworthy and tell you straight up what needs to be done to get the tattoo you want. read more

Jeff Cooper and staff are very talented, knowledgeable, and accommodating to bring your visions to life. Each artist has their own distinct style and all around the prices are very reasonable for good quality work. Very clean environment and all tattoo needles and barrels are opened in front of you from sterile packaging, clean technique is performed everytime. Tattoo's, when taken care of as instructed heal very nicely and the color blooms to life in not just my own, but from the many tattoos I have seen from their work on their facebook page.
