I have been lucky enough to get a lot of tattoos from Matt Howse. I was familiar with his work at Idle Hand and Seventh Son in San Francisco so I was very excited to see that he had moved to San Diego a few years back and I was quick to book an appointment at Flying Panther and many after that at Full Circle. Matt has tattooed my legs, my stomach, my chest and my right hand. Most of them have been traditional black and grey. He also does amazing portraits and Japanese style and pretty much anything you throw at him. He's efficient, thoughtful, respectful and so damn talented. I've been looking for a true old school style USMC tattoo since I got out of the service, but I haven't trusted anyone to do it as it's a very important piece to me, so I've held off for years, finally I found Matt and his work looked amazing, he hit the nail right on the head. Great person and artist! I met MH based on basic on basic research for our area. I wanted some sleeve work finished on my shoulder, he recommended I get my shoulder finished and let him tie it to the blank areas by my wrist and forearm. Nailed it! He blended it all and carried the vibe from top to bottom. I went from not knowing him to having about ten hours of work with him within a month.
