Traveling to Cali.. always see this place... wondered what sort of liquor selections were here... all kinds of great stuff and friendly/ helpful staff!

Stopped here on a Friday about 1:00 p.m. on our way to Oregon. We often stop for booze on our way North taking orders for friends and family in Oregon. The prices just South of the border are much cheaper than Oregon. Sometimes it makes us feel like smokey and the bandit. This place is clean and well organized and 1 of 2 that we normally stop at.They did not have a few items on our order list so we have to stop at another place. It is easy on and off from I-5 in both directions and they have gas as well.

THIS PLACE RIPS YOU OFF !!! If I could give it ZERO stars, I would! Our family and friends (which amounts to A LOT of locals) are boycotting this place. Reason? One night in June 2013, at 12:20am, we pulled into this place. All we had was cash and we needed gas. Liquor Expo was closed. BUT they had 2 pumps which accept cash bills! So I put a $20 in the machine and... It didn't give us any gas! We tried everything, nothing worked. Then, to make matters worse, the machine gave us NO receipt! We looked around trying to find the cameras, to make ourselves obviously known and seen as distressed. Then we got in our car and left to another gas station, where I was forced to call my Dad on my cell phone and ask his permission to use his debit card for gas, which was NOT good. Still, I figured I could go back to Liquor Expo later and tell them what happened. Maybe get credit at the gas pump, or a refund. I figured they would honor a customer. So... I went back during business hours, and asked to speak to the manager. Described my car, license plate, and the time and date of the incident. Told him to check the cameras if he wanted proof of everything I was saying. See for himself that the machine never kicked on to give gas, and did not print out any receipts. Well he just made a bunch of excuses, and refused to go check the camera, give me credit or a refund. He wrote down my name, address and phone number, and said he would pass the message on to the owners... But nobody ever called us! This place ripped us off, straight up!! They took our money and kept it. And refused to do anything to remedy the situation. So now... We refuse to buy anything from them, and so do all our family and friends. What they did was WRONG. They had proof on camera, and they did nothing about it! We have also started a new tradition--every time any of our family or friends drive by this place, we roll down the window and yell "RIP OFF!!" Of course, you can show your distaste in whatever way you like-- magnets on your car, bumper stickers, a statement of disapproval as you pass by... Whatever suits you. It has now become a regular tradition, and we hope that if enough people protest, maybe they will notice, and start HONORING their customers. Who knows how many people they have done this to with those machines?? But until they do start honoring business integrity... None of us are EVER coming back!

Stopped here for the chevron gas (most pumps will give you some issues) and went inside for some snacks. Super friendly staff and the store has the basics you need. Bathroom kept pretty clean too. I'll keep this place in mind when traveling back and forth from Oregon! read more

We love this place and Gary always point us in the directions of specials we might be interested in. Prices are great and we don't have to deal with the Oregon L.C.C. issues. No, they don't have a public bathroom as the other reviewer noted, but they allow my wife to use their "private use only" anyway. It must have been a personality issue.... read more

Super disappointing! We stopped in here for our first time on the way back from Oregon. The customer service was poor, selection was minimal, and prices were not competitive either. BevMo is way better and has them beat in all these categories. Also, any place that can't negotiate a deal when you are about to spend a bunch of money is stupid. We wanted to buy by the whole case instead of six pack and they wouldn't even talk a deal! We won't be going back here. read more

Out in the middle of nowhere, but well worth the stop! Prices are great as is the selection. You couldn't find a nicer bunch of people! They will even carry your purchases to your car! Very helpful and knowlegable about their selections. read more

Don't let the earlier posts deter you from stopping in especially if you live in Or. or Wa. Prices and selection is very good, management staff is knowledgeable and helpful and the selection is worth the stop. The Expo closed a while back (subject of prior posts) and opened under new ownership recently. Give it a try. I've been in a couple of times and find the prices lower than Bevmo. read more

Just stopped by on our way back home to Washington from the Napa Valley. Everyone at the store was very helpful and friendly. Brad was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions for us. Just wish we lived closer so we could come here more often. And, of course, great prices compared to what I'm used to in Washington. read more

I live in Washington state...enough said about liquor prices! We always make it a habit to stop at Liquor Expo to restock. They will also box up an order and have it ready for pick up if you call them in advance. Which is when you can verify prices as well. read more

Thanks for lying to me. I stopped into your store the other day and asked about Patron. Your price was $99.99. I asked is you had a better price than All Star Liquors in Hilt and you said of course that you were the cheapest. I went and called All Star before purchasing from you and their price was $74.99. What a rip off you guys are and liars. I will never shop at your store again and will tell all my friends and family that if they want the best deal when they are traveling I-5 then All Star in Hilt is the ONLY place they need to stop. read more
