pit stop on the way down to the bay. generous portions and really affordable prices for the quantity of food. the guy running it couldn't have been sweeter. and the view around it was gorgeous.

good mexican food in the area! *theyre open here during the WEEKDAYS only!!** gets the job done! i had 2 carnitas tacos and they were pretty tasty! meat was juicy and ingredients seemed freshly made friends got a carne asada quesadilla and said it was a 7/10 and another got the cali burrito but thought there was too much fries in the filling :/ would return to eat at this truck!

Not true...they were not there 3 hours before close.

I have a torn calf muscle so I am limited right now in life...I went here at 3pm on a Saturday and the truck was nowhere to be found...Two picnic tables were there and nothing else....I had to limp in discomfort about 600 'to get there only to find out nobody was there...Yelp states they are open till 6pm and Google which was updated just over a week ago states they are open till 8pm...I also checked their FB page but there was nothing on it about them not being there today...In fact the last update on their FB was May 16...I'm tired of these businesses that could care less about their customers.

Yep! Slammin'Tacos as everyone has said. Saw this on my way Northbound to PNW and now that i was southbound and bored of all the cookie cutter sweet/savory coffee stop snack food, i was ready to give this spot a try having read everyone's reviews. My base test is always a carne asada taco, Ahh man tender perfectly seasoned and cooked beef and so delicious! The carnitas were cooked Juicy and not crispy. Squeeze the lime on everything! Totally gonna be our regular food stop. When you need some real food on your road trip- def stop here in Weed and look for this taco truck -near Starbuck but across from Pilot Gas Station. I'm a So. Cal Girl with SF/Bay Area food standards (pretty high-spoiled with great food) and this will hit the spot for most for sure! Staff was super friendly to boot!

My family drives past Weed on our way to my grandfathers house and we always stop here for gas and food. We usually get food other places but we will now be coming here every time. Service was great and the food was a 10/10. Would definitely recommend! Pictures speak for themselves

This is such good Mexican food! And it's a food truck in Weed, CA The guy working was so nice and the food was hot & fresh. And the VIEW from the picnic benches of Mt Shasta was STUNNING! Don't miss this stop if you are traveling to or from Oregon

Do you ever come to McCloud?

McCloud appears to be located in a quiet part of northern California and requires a detour on Highway 89 to reach it. My wife and I have never driven to this small town, mainly because it is not near Highway 5 and does not offer easy access to…

We wanted to make reservations for dinner on a Thursday but no one answered the phone. We decided to head over to the restaurant a few minutes before we planned to dine with friends only to discover they weren't open and a hand lettered writing on the door said they were closed Thursdays and Sundays. We did return the next evening, now knowing that they would be open on Friday. The restaurant shares an entryway with a popular bar. It was amusing watching people enter the main door and then turn one way or the other to enter a business, only to realize they want the other door. I saw a few families with little kids start towards the bar and then turn to the restaurant. Groups in motorcycle jackets did the reverse. A signboard at the entrance to the restaurant invites customers to choose a table and then help themselves to chips and salsa. My husband and I split an entrée and it was more then enough for the both of us. Portion sizes are generous. The food was very good. Much better than Casa Ramos or Puerto Vallarta. If you want Mexican food in Mount Shasta, stay away from those chains and go to La Perla for a much better meal at reasonable prices to boot. We enjoyed the background music, with songs from the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Paul Simon, The Proclaimers.

Someone walked out with a trash bag and walked by us two times and said nothing to us. We then go to the kiosks and start our order, then my grandpa wanted to pay cash at the register. We waited for about 10 more minutes without acknowledgment. We sat down and waited then after about half an hour someone came in and flagged a person down because her order was wrong. After she was helped we stepped up and managed to pay for the food. After 45 minutes we got our food and it was underwhelming. My grandma's chalupas were soggy and falling apart, also worth mentioning is how we and other guests had to ask for our cups to get our drinks. The dining area was clearly not cleaned regularly. There was food, sauce, and wrappers all over the floor. Underneath the counter where I believe their drink fountain in the kitchen is, had food that looked like it had been there for a while, all dried up and wrinkly as well as dust all around it. We watched a man come in to pick up an order and after waiting for about 15 minutes he tried to flag someone down twice and was completely ignored. The customer service was absolutely terrible, the staff actively ignored customers, several times they would look at us waiting and we'd try to flag them down while they were looking and then they'd just go back to what they were doing without saying even an "I'll be with you in a moment." Leaving a review like this hurts me, I work in a resturant and I understand how it gets busy, but when we came in, there were hardly any people in the diningroom and one car in the drive through, and the fact that not only were we ignored, but several other guests were too, made us feel irritated and unwelcome.
