A few words of advice for those of you planning on drinking in Utah... plan ahead!…read more We decided to go pick up a bottle of wine and a bottle of champagne from this "Store 37" on 12/31 - just about 8 hours before New Years Eve. So did the rest of the Park City Community... there was a line out the door! Along with really strict liquor laws in Utah, the state governs the liquor stores and the number of people that can enter at one time. It was kind of funny actually, but quite a unique experience. Once we made it through the line to get inside, we browsed the mediocre selection and picked up a few things only to wait in another line to check out. Our mission was worthwhile, however, we did return with alcohol to bring in the new year! An additional thing to note, however, is that the state of Utah puts a special sticker on every single bottle of alcohol that is sold in their state. We found this out the hard way... we brought a special bottle of wine with us to dinner one night - one we'd brought from home here in AZ - and were told they could not cork it for us as it was not bought in the state of Utah. Jared actually tried to tell the waiter that indeed it was (not knowing the sticker deal at that point). Just a heads up and hopefully that will help out in your future plans! And for you naughty little yelpers, FYI - it is possible to transfer the stickers from one bottle to another. (I didn't say legal, but I did say possible). Happy new year!

This has got to be one of the biggest, most efficient, and cleanest liquor store in SLC…read more Biggest: The layout is different from the others, so you will have to do a little more walking through aisles to search for your beers, wine, and hard liquor selection. The aisles are big enough to shop where you can't bump into folks unless you're 7" tall, blocking them doing the splits. Efficient: There's one designated line to purchase your alcohol. Unlike the other locations where there are multiple lines stretching into the wine aisles, it's like a funnel system where there is only 1 line and multiple cashiers. I like it. Cleanest: This place opened up about 3 months ago so there's no reason why it shouldn't be clean. There's bathrooms inside too and of course I had to see for myself. Yup! It's clean too! Great and convenient location. I live closer to another liquor store, but I'll make the drive to come to this one instead.

We were blown away with all of the different options and with how well the building is kept. Everything is so neatly displayed. We spoke with one employee on our way out (the cashier) and he was great! He gave us some good recommendations based on what we had purchased. We will definitely stop by again when we're in the area. It's the best liquor store we've been to so far!

There is always an off duty police officer standing guard on the weekends, and tonight he had an extra duty of counting people into the store. You know for social distancing reasons. I like the measured amount of people being let into this store, it make for a nicer shopping experience, not so crowded. This store is usually wall to wall people and lines are long. Everyone was getting ID'd because of everyone having to wear a mask. I've seen people get sooo upset because they didn't follow our strict liquor laws and their sale was denied. I'll help you out (see below) 1. If your drivers licence is expired don't even try to come in. 2. If you walk in with your friends, and you don't plan on buying anything YOU will still get ID'd. If you don't have ID or your ID is expired the SALE will be denied. The best thing to do is stay in the car, and let your friend go in alone. I never understood why a gaggle of friends have to walk into the liquor store together. It only takes one of you in your group to get the sale denied. 3. Only acceptable ID is a valid passport. One that is expired will NOT work. A valid drivers licence. (If you renewed your drivers licence, and are waiting for your new one to arrive in the mail, and you only have your old drivers licence with the punch marks in it, but it's not expired you will be denied the sale.) Punched drivers licences are not valid. 4. Military ID On a side note: have your ID out and ready to go so you don't hold up the line. It makes for a faster sale.... I forgot to add...if they smell liquor on your breath NO sale either.

If employees are going to profile customers and make them feel uncomfortable while shopping, maybe they should at least know how to interact with people respectfully afterward.
