    Disgusting caked on dirt.
    Folks A.

The LIRR is very convenient mode to travel from Long Island to New York or Brooklyn. But the LIRR is filthy and disgusting. For what customers are paying to ride the LIRR, this should be spotless or atleast cleaned often.

When it comes to LIRR terminals you do not get one better then this location. Located in a lovely modern design building, the station is clean and functional. The terminal has a Starbucks which is great for a last min coffee run or to grab a quick breakfast sandwich before you catch your train. The bathrooms in this terminal are clean and functional! Which I was not expecting at all. The lines to the bathroom are not bad comparing to other LIRR stations. The station has both ticket machines and a ticket booth so you can get your tickets either way. Overall a great example of a clean functional station.

This is a really busy terminal with a lot of people commuting from long island railroad to Brooklyn or leaving Brooklyn going back to queens or long island you can also get your tickets right there at the machine or at the ticket counter window i have been using the longiland railroad for a lil while now and it is very accessible and convenient to get to Brooklyn from queens with out taking the crowded and slow subway trains.that would take you so much longer to get to Brooklyn from queens if I would take the subway. You save a lot of time .you will make it there in a new York minute back to Jamaica long island railroad station. Were you have access to buses and cabs or even the airtrain or to subway $2.75 and the airtrain fee is $5.00 .the atmosphere was pretty decent in the terminal .and don't forget you can get to Penn station from there really fast . The longiland railroad Atlantic terminal side was pretty clean also I have to admit. So I will definitely use it again in the future

This is the Main Terminal from Brooklyn location on the Long Island Rail Road line very similar to Penn Station in Manhattan and I can imagine how the Grand central terminal will be so busy on the Long Island railroad when that opens up in 2022. so if you reside in Kings County - (Brooklyn ) and you have family and friends or work at those destinations that reside in parts of Queens, New York or (Long Island -Nassau or Suffolk County) This is a get go to the downtown Brooklyn area from Borough hall or Fulton street mall and Brooklyn and federal courthouses and there plenty of Colleges and University nearby ( Saint Francis College, Saint Joseph's College, Brooklyn law school, the Long island university, Pratt Institute, and Brooklyn Tech High school etc campus ) the school in the downtown Brooklyn - Fort Greene, Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill - area there are considered the upscale neighborhoods of Brooklyn area there plenty of shops there Fulton street mall - City point mall and there Junoirs restaurant the Barclays center and there a shake shack and a chick-fil-a and there the Apple store and there B.A.M- brooklyn acamedy theater, The Atlantic Terminal shopping mall- ( Target stores , Chuckie cheese, Old navy,Shop and stop supermarkets, The guitar center , Best Buy electronics store ,The D.M.V- drivers motor vehicle , Uni qlo, Citibank and Carver federal savings bank and etc shops ) and Modells sportings goods & Whole foods supermarket is located near apple store , and there the famous Brooklyn clock old Williamsburg bank clock tower building which is now converted to a resedential condo i called it the Brooklyn version of "big ben", Brooklyn hospital and Cumberland diagnaostic clinic - Hospital center is near by this atlantic terminal and the Manhattan Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge and B-Q-E and the Gowanus Expressway is near by this Atlantic terminal . This is the only long island railroad Brooklyn station that is indoor, Nostrand Avenue and East New York are considered outdoor stations but there have weather top covers on the outside platform stations, usually, when I take the long island railroad I take it from Nostrand avenue its much convenient for me to get to my house from the bus, this Atlantic terminal station is not dirty neither its pretty clean and plus there a Starbucks in the station or a Dunkin' shop near the P.C, Richards and Modell's sporting goods store outside the station, so if I'm in the downtown Brooklyn - fort Greene area of Brooklyn I wouldn't mind using this station !!!! very convenient by the MTA transportation: subway: 2,3,4,5,Q,B,D,R,N-Trains. Atlantic Avenue & Flatbush Avenue (Barclays center) or C-Train.Lafayette street & Fulton street or G-Train.Fulton Street. Train station. Buses: B41,B103,B67, B25,B38, B52, etc buses

Don't get caught here when you miss your train. There isn't shit to do. Maybe a lap around target or a beer and a frown at Applebee's

The Atlantic Terminal formally known as Flatbush Avenue, is a small and quaint terminal with a lot of connections to both subways and buses.

Definitely a nicer hub than Penn Station, but far from Grand Central, and with much trashier commuters, but could be worse.

See a concert or a sporting event and leave quick. Crowds when there's an event going on, but it's still not that bad. This also connects to other systems. Busy because there's so many trains stopping here. It serves the B, D, N, Q, R, 2, 3, 4, and 5 Trains. This is popular for making transfers. And you certainly have lots of lines to choose from. There's also many busses you can get on. All of these are just the MTA. There's also the Long Island Railroad. Besides the arena is a lot of other stuff around here. There's the Atlantic Terminal Mall. It has every store you care about. There's also many other stores that you care nothing about, so there's just lots of eating and shopping. Of course most use this to get to the arena. There's always some kind of concert or sport every night almost, or there's some kind of convention going on. I find it useful for more than just the Barclays Center. It's also a major transportation hub. There's many trains and systems you can get onto.

I was there on Tuesday and, as usual, the size can feel overwhelming with so many lines meeting here. It is easy to get turned around, but once you figure it out, it really is a convenient station. One thing I appreciate is that there are elevators, which makes it a good choice for people who need accessible subway stations. That makes a big difference when you are carrying things or helping someone who needs easier access. The station is busy, but that also makes it feel safe, and being right next to Barclays Center and Atlantic Terminal means you can grab food, shop, or head to an event without going far. It is not perfect, since clearer signs would help, but overall it is reliable, accessible, and part of the Brooklyn experience.

They are the popular spots to get off. Too bad in this train station, I couldn't see the elevator going downstairs to the train platform. Also the ceiling paint is peeling and it is just very old. There was just one elevator going downstairs to the ticket booth and turnstiles. There is also a precinct inside this train station with lot of NYPD ropes all over the entrance. Having my Grandson stay with me in the hotel allowed them the freedom to complete the move much easier. The station, which serves the A, C & G lines, was the perfect way to take my Grandson to school every morning. The G train has a station very near his Elementary School. It was very close to the Hilton, which proved invaluable, especially on rainy days. There was an elevator close to the entrance of the station closest to Schermerhorn. The station was very spacious with a relatively long walk (for me...) to the G train platform. It definitely wasn't a quick sprint & you're there. Hoyt-Schermerhorn does hold a claim to fame as the location of numerous film & television shoots. Notable was the late 70's filming oF "The Wiz" and Michael Jackson's music video of his hit song "Bad". To me the station is the doorway to the many wonders of Downtown Brooklyn and surrounding neighborhoods. I think it must be the center of the world. Thank you MTA for providing a station that has been a great convenience for me over the years.
