I reached out to several landscaping businesses and met with a a number of landscapers before ultimately hiring Lisa Creative Landscape. I chose Lisa because she is very responsive and I loved her design process. I felt as though other landscapers were not able to show me visually what the final product would look like. I don't know a ton about plants, so when I read through their proposals and estimates, I didn't feel like I really knew what I was paying for or if it would look the way I wanted it to look. I was pretty frustrated, and then thankfully I reached out to Lisa. Her design process is night and day from other landscapers. She came over for an initial meeting and listened to what I was looking to do with my front and back yard. From there, she created a video that incorporated all of my ideas. It was so nice to have a visual of what everything would look like. She also included some creative ideas of her own in areas I didn't really know what to do with. We went back and forth making changes to the video until it was exactly what I wanted. The turnaround time between video edits was very quick - only a few days. Once the design was complete, I hired Lisa and her team to complete the work. They got started and finished the project SO quickly! Her team worked extremely hard - I was shocked at how quickly everything came together. The finished product is literally exactly like the video we created. She did such an amazing job. I love my new front and back yard so much. She left instructions on how to care for all my new plants too which is so helpful. On top of everything else, Lisa is just an extremely warm and kind person, I feel so lucky to have found her. Throughout the whole project she reassured me that she would work hard to deliver a great product and made me feel like she cares as much as I do about the end product. And when I pushed back our original start date because it was my daughter's birthday she was so flexible, and even DROPPED OFF CUPCAKES FOR MY DAUGHTER! Lisa did a great job of providing a range of design options for our space, and she was receptive to feedback about elements we liked and didn't like. She built a design for both front and back yards, even though we can only do the back right now (because the front is awaiting some construction). We purchased a new house and were struggling to figure out what to do with the small front yard that was a complete mess. She has many different design ideas on her website and she asked us to see what aspects of different design we liked. Then she used those different elements to create these completely different designs for us. She sent really nice videos that give you a very good feel for the designs. We then went back and forth two or three times, including one iteration in which we completely took a different turn. She was patient and worked with our changing preferences. Her revised designs always came quickly - within 2/3 days. In the end we have come up with a design that we are very happy with. I took time researching different landscapers in Chicago and was impressed by her work. Lisa and her team did a project for us last month. She was very responsive and easy to work with from the start -- being flexible on meeting times that worked for us. She was able to incorporate elements that were already there from previous landscaping work -- we didn't want a "gut rehab" (what would you call it for landscaping?). As promised she came back with three designs the next week, and we used those to make further requests and adjustments to find just the right thing. As for the work, Lisa worked right alongside her team on the project through some rather hot days of August. Kudos to them! They were even accommodating of my wife and I throwing a big party in the middle of their work period -- they brought the project to a reasonable endpoint and made it look nice for our guests. Too bad they couldn't see the final product! We love it and we feel more relaxed when we are sitting outside. I should mention that Lisa was able to incorporate pet-friendly ideas into her work (for our large German Shepherd). In the end, Lisa was very professional and the work looks great. She was very patient and met me multiple times to make sure I was happy with the designs. She even drove to Indiana to get a plant that I wanted. Lisa did a wonderful job right from the start. The design and video presentation of ideas was so helpful. We landscaped two major areas of our townhouse front and back as well as 30 ft.section along our side. It was a beautiful design of hard scapes lighting and a variety of perennial flowers and shrubs. It turned out beautiful and a reasonable cost even allowing us to make some changes along the way. As well she removed an old fence enclosing our patio and poured new posts and rebuilt a new fence . All of this took place often into the late evening and over many 90+ degree days. Since completion she has returned 3-4 times on her own to check on plantings and grass seeding that was done. Even caught her watering for us one evening when I returned home ( 2 weeks after they were done ) . Lisa's work ethic and concern for customer satisfaction are beyond compare.
