I have to admit, I was probably in a bit of a crisis mindset since our issues were bubbled at the surface, so it felt like the session was unorganized, which I know I contributed to that. She didn't get any information prior to our session, so it felt like she went in blind and didn't have any frame or reference to what help we needed. At the end of the first session, she gave us "homework" which I think would have been tremendously helpful had it been done prior to the first session so that my husband and I could organize our thoughts, and she could have some indication of the help we needed so that she could be most effective in the session. They don't take insurance, so paying cash for a session, you really want to be able to make the most of the money spent. I think bc of her unfamiliarity with our situation, she made some suggestions that were obvious and things we had already done. I also felt like she made other suggestions for things that were not issues we were seeking services for. My husband and I both felt like it wasn't the most effective session, but that is how therapy works! You keep "shopping" until you find someone you feel best with. I will say she was patient and calm, and did allow me to speak. She made sure to include all parties and really was solution focused. I think she can be very effective for some, I just think it was my poor demeanor related to the need for therapy that marred our visit.

Hypnotherapy with Linda worked incredibly well for me. I have some issues (don't we all) that I…read morewanted to work out in general, but when I found Linda I'd been unemployed for a while and was sinking into a really damaging and near debilitating depression. I'd been going to therapy through the county and it had been helping a little, but I had a bad reaction to the anti depression meds they'd prescribed for me and was in a bit of a state. I heard about hypnotherapy at random through a YouTube playlist, read a bit about it, and thought, may as well. It was a bit of a last ditch effort for me, especially since my savings were dwindling and it does cost money ($125 per session). It turned out to be totally worth it. I found Linda through Google Reviews. A lot of the other places had good reviews as well, but she had the best vibe in my opinion. I liked what she had on her website, and when I called to schedule, she spent over 45 minutes on the phone with me explaining the process and asking me questions. She was so friendly and caring even then, and I was excited to start. I went about five times. Each time afterwards, I left feeling really happy and relaxed. It can be intense at times since you're facing a lot of things, but she's really warm and accepting. She excels at making her space safe, comfortable, and inviting. Trust is really important for hypnotherapy apparently, and I'm really glad I went to her because she's excellent at building that trust. She's genuinely really passionate about guiding you through it and helping you to feel better. I felt ashamed and vulnerable about my state at the time, and I feel like if it hadn't been her, it may not have been as easy for me or worked as well. I mostly just wanted to be able to function properly so I could continue searching for a job, but I feel like I got so much more out of it than that. My self esteem is much higher and accepting and loving myself is easier and more accessible than its ever been for me. I feel more confident and relaxed about almost everything. I feel like, especially after the third time, it also has decreased the amount of anxiety I had in general. Linda will also spend extra time with you if she has it if she feels you're making progress, which is very kind and thoughtful. She genuinely cares, and I think that's a lot of why she's so great at it. There's a reason she has a lot of loyal clients who swear by her. And I got a job! After the fifth session, Linda instinctively knew that I was in a much better space, had come pretty far, and was done with the regimen. I'll most likely go in for a tune up at some point just because I got so much out of it and I find it relaxing. Scientific studies show that it's fairly expedient compared to traditional talk therapy, so that's great too. If you'd like to resolve some things, or are at a point where you're willing to try anything, I cannot recommend Linda enough.
